Disapointing Quality, and Anker’s Support
I purchased the Anker PowerCore Metro Essential 20000 (Model A1281) from Best Buy with the expectation that it would offer long-lasting performance — especially for the price, which was over $50. Unfortunately, the device failed completely with minimal use. It was well cared for, rarely used, and stored properly, yet it developed a crack in the casing and stopped charging altogether. I reached out to Anker’s customer service, provided the serial number, proof of purchase, and photos, and followed all of their troubleshooting steps. Despite this, they dismissed my concern by pointing to the expiration of the 18-month warranty — even though the product’s failure clearly points to a manufacturing or design flaw rather than normal wear and tear. To make matters worse, when I requested escalation to management, I received no meaningful support. Instead, I was offered a 25% discount on a new product — essentially asking me to pay again for something that shouldn’t have failed in the first place. This experience left me frustrated and disappointed, both in the product and in Anker’s unwillingness to stand behind it. I expected better quality and better customer care from a brand that’s usually well-reviewed. I won’t be purchasing another Anker device and urge others to think twice, especially if you’re expecting a power bank that will last beyond a year and a

A Must Have
I absolutely love this power bank. I bought it for vacations because I’m always walking and need my phone to stay charged — it hasn’t let me down. On a recent family trip my dad watched me charge my phone, then my sister’s, then another device, and he was stunned: “How are you charging so much and it still has juice?” His old power bank didn’t hold up, so I got him one — now he’s thrilled. He says it easily lasts him Monday–Friday and he uses his old one on weekends.

Outdated technology, do not buy
I purchased this 20ah charger hoping to add to the other Anker charger I have. I thought it was the same model and was very pleased to get it at such a great discount. I just received it and am sending it back instantly. It is larger, thicker, and heavier than the old charger that I've had for 5 years. It doesn't have usb C and inputs via micro usb. That means it would take over 10 hours to fully charge. The USB-A doesnt fast charge my S23 Ultra and capped out at 15W
