Q: What purpose does the wifi feature have beyond being able to start it from any location?
A: We have found it useful for monitoring remotely while out or even starting before coming back. We live by phones now so easy to change temp, timer etc without being in proximity. Not a huge deal but a nice benefit for sure.
Q: what plastic bag can one use to withstand the heat and not break down and spew toxins on the food?
A: I use foodsaver bags.
Q: Does the WiFi model also use Bluetooth?
A: It does! You don’t necessarily have to connect it to WiFi but it makes it a lot easier if you’re leaving something cooking at home and you’re going somewhere. Or if you use the ice bath feature you can start cooking even if you’re at work!
