For basic builds, this has been rated as a tier 3 unit, meaning it is very reliable, built with quality parts. It's not meant for big video cards or overclocking your CPU but it will do very well in a gaming build that uses a single 6 pin connector for the power supply or any of the AMD APUs. Its not modular but not bulky either so cable management is still very achievable if you try. I buy this every time I build budget towers, even super low budget builds. Everything else in this price range (besides other Antec products) will only cause problems down the road. Only until you reach $80+ units do you start to see anything better.

I'm familiar with Antec. I trust their products. The power supply was easy to install, looks great, and is very quiet.

After searching online for an Antec BP430 watt power supply, and being unable to find one at a less cost than this one was very difficult. Antec makes some of the best power supplies and I was not disappointed with this purchase. Installed with ease, and all connections were straightforward. I have been using Antec power supplies for over 10 years and have had only one power supply fail (it was a new unit from NewEgg.com). Returned it and got a refurbished unit back. The refurbished unit has been running strong since installing it over a year ago. Best Buy got this BP450 unit sent to their store a couple of days ahead of schedule and I picked it up the next day. Great unit, great stress-free ordering through Best Buy. I will continue to do business there.

Once again Antec power supplys do not disappoint. Easy to instal, not in excess of cables, and it runs very quiet. I had to look at the light on my pc to make sure the power was on it is so quiet.

Greta PSU for a budget gaming PC. So far it works like it's suppose to. Quiet as a mouse.

Bought this as a replacement for a failed power supply, great for the price, plenty of power and connections for an everyday computer, very quiet operation.

This supply does the job. Used it as a replacement for one in an old system that was starting to die. Had $35 in RZ certs that I needed to use before they expired which is why I got this. Just wanted something quiet and cheap. This fit the bill.

I purchased this supply to verify the failure of another brand power supply, 500W. It turned out the other supply was fine but there was some kind of short on the Mother Board mounting, which I still have not found where. However I was able to move the board around enough to clear the short. Looking at the quality of the supply, it is impressive and performed right away when I did clear the short on the mounting.

Decent 450w power supply for the money. Cables could be longer. Used to replace power in Dell 9150. So far, still working fine after 4 weeks.

It is what it is. Then power unit went out on my PC. I've never replaced anything in a computer before. Ordered this on line e and it arrived within a few days. Fit right in. Was easier to replace than I thought. Had extra plugs that can be used for future expansion.

Startup produces more than average amount of noise but it becomes very quiet after a couple of minutes. I leave my computer on all the time. After more than a month of use there have been no problems. I am very satisfied.

All our thermaltakes started whining after a years use. They still worked, but that whining would drive the employees crazy. Switched back to antec and no problems since.
