A: Yes, it has an HDMI port and a VGA port. I use the HDMI ports. On one of my computers it only has a DVI port left available for connecting a monitor - for which I connected an HDMI to DVI adapter to the end of the "HDMI cord that comes with" the AOC monitor and this also works great.
Q: Is this Monitor a 1080p or 1080i ?
A: This monitor is 1080p.
Q: what type of connection cord do you use to connect to laptop with HDMI connection
A: Most Laptops if not too old come with an HDMI port or two built in. This AOC monitor comes with its own HDMi cable which is a nice convenience. I also hooked up this monitor to my HP laptop using the HDMI port and connector. See my two attached pictures; one showing the AOC front along with my Laptop and the other pic showing the direct HDMI monitor to Laptop cable connection.
Q: can this turn into a vertical monitor?
A: Yes, but only if you bought the monitor arm.
Q: Can u play the sims 4 on this monitor??
A: This is a monitor, a piece of equipment that you plug into a computer to visualize with the computer and provide interface. Without the computer the monitor is nothing but a screen, so therefore it cannot run anything like the Sims 4 or any game or computer program for that matter. Granted you will need a monitor to be able to play those games even if you have the computer. The monitor as long as it is accepted by the PC, usually in its graphics card, can play as long as the computer can
Q: What are size dimensions with the stand attached?
A: Using the stand that it comes with, the monitor sits 16.5 inches high from the top of the desk to the top of the monitor and is 22 inches wide.
Q: Does this unit come with built-in speakers?
A: There are no speakers, but there is an input for headphones or auxiliary speaker. I haven't used it, so not sure of quality.
