Customer Ratings & Reviews

Pros: • Great value for what it’s meant to be • Smooth performance with good frame handling • 1080p looks solid at 27 inches • Easy adjustment coming from a larger main display Cons: • Not OLED (but that’s expected at this price) Review: My main display is a 32-inch OLED, so I didn’t buy this monitor for high-end gaming or visual perfection. I mainly needed a secondary screen for watching videos, movies, and general use—and for that purpose, this monitor does exactly what I needed. The 1080p resolution looks better than expected at 27 inches, and the transition from a 32-inch OLED to this monitor wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. The refresh rate is smooth, everything feels responsive, and overall the display quality is solid for everyday viewing. For what it is and how I’m using it, this monitor performs very well and meets my expectations.

The AOC C27G4X stands out in the 2025 entry-level market as a high-speed specialist. It is designed for gamers who prioritize frame rates and immersion over pixel density, making it a powerhouse for competitive shooters on a budget. Performance: Speed Over Everything The headline feature is the 180Hz refresh rate paired with a staggering 0.5ms (MPRT) response time. In fast-paced titles like Valorant or Counter-Strike 2, the motion clarity is exceptional for a VA panel. While older VA monitors suffered from "black smearing," AOC’s 2025 tuning has minimized this significantly, ensuring that enemies remain sharp even during quick 180-degree turns. Display and Immersion The 1500R curve on a 27-inch screen strikes the "sweet spot" for immersion, wrapping the peripheral edges slightly toward your field of view without distorting the image. Contrast: Being a VA panel, it offers deep blacks and a high contrast ratio that IPS panels can't match, making it excellent for atmospheric horror or space-sim games. Resolution Note: At 1080p on a 27-inch canvas, the pixel density is lower than a 1440p screen. While text isn't as sharp for office work, this lower resolution is a strategic advantage for gamers using mid-range GPUs, as it allows you to actually hit that 180 FPS ceiling. Features and Build AOC continues to lead in ergonomics. Unlike many budget monitors with tilt-only stands, the C27G4X features a fully adjustable stand (height, swivel, and tilt). It supports Adaptive-Sync (FreeSync), which flawlessly eliminates screen tearing on both NVIDIA and AMD cards. The inclusion of HDR10 is a nice "extra," though, like most monitors in this price bracket, it lacks the peak brightness for a true cinematic HDR experience. Verdict The AOC C27G4X is a surgical tool for gaming. If you are a competitive player who needs every frame possible and prefers the deep blacks of a curved screen, this is arguably the best value-per-frame monitor of 2025. Pros: Blazing fast 180Hz refresh rate and 0.5ms response. Deep contrast and vibrant colors typical of modern VA panels. Excellent ergonomic stand (uncommon at this price point). Very affordable for the performance level. Cons: 1080p resolution can look slightly "soft" for text/desktop use at 27 inches. HDR10 is present but lacks the brightness to be impactful.

I have had this for several months now and It has served me great. The 27” curved monitor really does suck you into the game you are playing, much better than a smaller monitor. The color is full and vibrant, no dead pixels and I am not having the screen black-out issue or horizontal line that you get with some other AOC monitors. response time 144hz is perfect for gaming. Supports HDMI and DP. Adjustable stand (up/down). 1080p is just fine on a 27” monitor, as long as you don’t game within inches from the monitor, haha. I recommend this monitor for anyone looking on a budget.

Getting about 200 fps in FN with this monitor! Awesome pick for our kiddo that just got a new gaming PC. Very glad we came back to Best Buy once again to get the BEST deal. They always have the BEST options available are so helpful every time we visit!

I bought 2 of these monitors and i love them the pricing was great and affordable whitin my budget and it had great quality and works great with my console i’ve had really no problems except the monitor not wanting to go up or down every now and then but it’s an easy fix i recommend this monitor if you’re on a kinda tight budget you wont regret it

I love this monitor! I am a gamer and so the audio quality does not mean much due to having a headset. Note that the aux jack in the monitor is output only. Aside from this, it works well with my RTX 4060. My first curved monitor and I'm starting to see the hype.

This monitor fits really well around my already pretty cramped setup and displays picture really well, I got it on sale and for that value its realllllly good so for full price I think it's probably a pretty good choice

The AOC C27G4X is an amazing budget-friendly gaming monitor for its price. The 27” curved VA panel gives deep blacks and really immersive gameplay, especially in darker games. The 180Hz refresh rate and 0.5ms response time make everything feel smooth with almost no motion blur. Colors look solid for a VA panel, and Freesync helps remove screen tearing. It’s not 1440p, but for 1080p gaming it performs way better than expected, and the curve adds a premium feel. For $129, it’s honestly one of the best value gaming monitors right now.

I’m genuinely impressed with this monitor. The 27” curved screen looks sharp, with vibrant colors thanks to the HDR10, and the 180Hz refresh rate makes a huge difference in fast-paced games like Warzone and Apex. The 0.5ms response time is perfect for shooters — no ghosting at all. Setup was super easy and it looks great on my desk. Freesync also works flawlessly and keeps everything smooth with no screen tearing. For the price, I don’t think you’ll find a better monitor with this kind of performance. Highly recommended for gamers looking to level up without breaking the bank!

Excellent quality monitor. After long hours of playing/studying your eyesight does not suffer as much as with other monitors. I was skeptical at first but it works perfectly. In addition with the DP port the performance of the FPS is even better. recommended 100% if you want to have a quality and medium-sized gaming monitor so that it does not take up much space on the desktop.

I’m in love with this monitor. It has everything that you’re looking for and more. It works amazingly great graphics when I tell you, this is one of the best blenders I have ever purchased. I cannot lie it is. React time is on point. And for the price it’s a pretty good size. I expected it to be smaller, but this thing was huge 100% will buy again. Also, the worker who helped me get it was really kind helpful, and generally was an amazing person. So if you were looking for a PC monitor for gaming, I highly recommend this one. One more thing this monitor is curved so it makes gaming even better.

Excellent, Beautiful, Gorgeous and precious, 10/10 The monitor not only moves up and down but side to side and it took me 2 MINUTES TO ASSEMBLE IT!!! It feels amazing and it looks amazing with a lot of quality, not only is the quality but the way I can play games, watch videos, do tasks and feel how much of quality there is my eyes can barely believe it

180hz is great for gaming or streaming apps. Smooth. Although not 4k, at this price and picture quality. You don’t really need it. Would see much of a difference on a monitor. Nice value to performance ratio!

Really good , really nicee, but for real for the price and performance this monitor is spectacular, great for console gaming , I would recommend this for pc as well if your a low settings player who doesn’t care about 4k quality and prefer performance or quality

This monitor impressed me, the quality is crazy, super super pleased with the resolution it has

I'm not one who necessarily needs 4k to have a good time while gaming. This 1080p monitor runs really well, and 180hz is all you really need to have smooth gameplay. Running AAA games like Arc Raiders and Battlefield 6 with my RTX 4060ti and this monitor has more than enough Hz to give me great FPS.

Although this is a gaming monitor, I bought it as a second desk screen for work. I extend my laptop, watch videos, and do small group presentations with it. I even hooked up a retro gaming console Good resolution. Good response. Perfect size for my desk. A little built in comparison to some pricey brands, but not a big issue.

This was my first monitor ever and it looks amazing. Love the curved feature and the picture quality looks great. Only thing that would make it better is adding speakers, but thats not a big deal if you just use a headset anyway. Highly recommend getting your hands on one of these if you want an affordable gaming monitor.

Great monitor! Has a great dial point, perfect size and shape. Great monitor for gaming especially with 120hz

Im not a bot btw, but dude, this thing is huge is the first time i ever buy a 27"inch and OMG is huge, i loved it, it looks pretty good, being honest, its not the best one but it is actually a really good monitor, the curve is more than perfect, but yeah, i will use it as my 2nd monitor. I still cant find a configuration that i like but i might just find a tutorial on how to.
