This is my FIRST ipad with WiFi + Cellular!!! And I bought it specifically to be able to include a data plan and utilize it as a hotspot when needed. I bought the iPad Air with the M1 Chip. I can see that I can easily use this as a laptop too. One of my close friends recently bought the iPad PRO with the M2 Chip. These two devices are about the same size. I'm a bit more tech savvy than my friend but it does seem that the features for both devices are nearly the same. YOU MUST get the APN number from the cellular data provider to make it work... and if the tech support/providers don't know this information FIND ONE THAT DOES KNOW! IT IS GREAT. But I had to get over a hurdle with the provider to get it working. I REALLY LOVE IT but for anyone buying, and needing to connect the WiFi and Cellular -- this info may be of help. So far I've only used one brand of SIM card, and perhaps experiences with other companies will be different than the experience with Mint. I bought a 3 month SIM to try it... And spent half of that 3 months just trying to make this all work. I know that an iPad can't be used as a phone... The device isn't built to be a phone. Because it has its own UNIQUE phone number, unlike my previous iPad, I can't link it to my iPhone and answer calls on it the way I could with my former non cellular iPad. BUT THIS: I do use VOIP landlines at home. I can actually use the Magic Jack phone on THIS iPad Air just as I can on my laptop and my old iPad. I specifically wanted an iPad - to allow me more ease when I travel to get on line and to give me access to a hotspot when needed if no public access hotspot is available. It took a long time to set up, because none of the support technicians at MINT were aware of the fact that THEY as the provider of the SIM card are supposed to provide you with the provider's code (APN) to allow the iPad's cellular and WiFi features a to work. (SEE THE PICTURE). ONE SHOULD KNOW that even with a SIM CARD an iPad will NOT work as a phone! I did know that, but to make matters more solidly confusing - the MINT company assigns a phone number to the iPad but it can't be used except for BILLING types of issues. With MINT tech support - so many times they would tell me they were going to text information to the nonworking number. I had to tell them REPEATEDLY that the number for my iPad which they issued - that I was asking for help to set up - does not work - which is something they should know. I also lost more than a month of service that I paid for because MINT considered my tablet "ACTIVATED" even though they never provided me with the APN number until more than a month after they gave me a phone number that doesn't work -- so I could not use it as a WiFi/Cellular device at ALL until the APN number was given. The vast majority of their tech support people and their supervisor had no idea about that number - except for ONE person that I finally got lucky enough to be connected to... and the very NEXT person I was on a chat with - a SUPERVISOR for Mint - was the worst of ALL in that this person finally told me that this iPad was too old, incompatible, and that I should buy something NEWER (there is nothing newer) and then disconnected me. WHAT SAVED THE DAY was for me to go to the Apple Genius Bar/Geek Squad at Plymouth Meeting and - because I NOW did have the APN CODE - it took just a few minutes to correctly set up the WiFI and Cellular service! Years ago I did telephone sales so I know that most of these tech support people are simply reading the words in front of them when they answer questions. And they are questions written for people who have cell phone connection issues - not iPad connection issues. What this also means though is that at least for MINT (I have no other experience yet with other providers) you can't access your own account. Their procedure is to allow you access to your SIM card account by sending a text to the assigned phone number... and you can't access it, so you can't access your Mint account.

I bought the Purple ipad w/ 256 g with Wi-Fi and cellular and So far so good!! it’s my 1st ipad so I’m still learning all the techniques on using it . But overall happy customer. (Case and pen bought separately)

If you don’t need the extra cameras, or pro motion from the pro get the Air. Best bang for your buck ipad.

Nice sound good price. Very light weight. great picture. Happy with my purchase. Delivery was easy and quick.

I have ben buying I pads for my family and myself for years. I bought the I-pad #1 for my granny. I lost track of how many I have given to others. I finally bought a nice one for my self. I love my new I pad Air.

Perfect. Just what I expected. I do wish it had face ID but that's only for the pro and the pro doesn't come in the color I wanted. My kids are also obsessed.

Name sounds it’s all. One of the best deal for Apple products. Strongly suggest Best buy for best deals on apple products. Timely delivery as promised. Product works great as expected.

Seems to be fine, light and easy to use. Having the cellular attached helps when there is no WiFi. Recommended for work use.

Replacement for old IPad. Quality iPad with larger screen but not bigger size with improved home button.

Can’t stop drawing on this iPad - I love it! Easy to set up and intuitive features.

It's a fast device with 5G. It's the definition of fast. You can't hate it, maybe except the price lol.

I love how fast this is and it works great, I would highly recommend it.

My new iPad is phenomenal! What a step up from my iPad Mini (4th Gen) that I got back in 2018-19. The graphics are amazing and the sound even better!

Works great, typically an android user but my kids and this Ipad have definitely changed my mind...I LOVE THE FACETIME FEATURE OVER GOOGLE HANDS DOWN❤️

iPad is amazing!!!!!! We buy all our electronics from Best Buy. You guys are our favorites!!!!

A trustworthy company with good customer service attitude, I will buy again. However, Trade in requires ID cards. I hope consumers can be reminded next time to avoid inconvenience.

Good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

cheaply made ipad im unhappy w the quality should have bought the better one w the camera

I bought this used but in like new condition off BestBuy (saving myself about $150.00) and so far I am very pleased with it. This iPad came with its original box, cables, booklets and charging brick. The tablet itself is in flawless condition, no cracks or nicks anywhere the screen is flawless as well. I bought the 256GB Wi-Fi/Cellular version and so far its everything that I need. My girlfriend ended up liking it so much I ended up buying her one as well. These tablets are blazing fast thanks to the M1 CPU and 8GB of ram found in this iPad. Its the main reason why I went with this 5th gen iPad air over the iPad air 4. For those of you who dont know the iPad air 4 may look the same as this 5th generation air but the air 4 has 4GB of ram as opposed to the 8GB found in this 5th gen. Long story short it just means this 5th gen will get more updates allowing it to last for much longer than the air 4. If you are wanting/needing a new iPad but don't want to pay retail for it make sure to search for "open box" items they tend to be much more cost effective rather than buying it brand new. Thank you, BestBuy for the wonderful deal!

When I say, "cut & paste", I’m still using an actual scissor and Glue Stic. My previous tablet (not an IPad) was about 6 years old. In comparison it’s like going from a Ford Model-T to a Ferrari. I remember using a computer with a floppy disk. So I have nothing but praise for this new IPad Air (5th gen) and it’s M1 chip. It’s processing speed is very fast and it’s easy to use. I carry it in my backpack everyday so I appreciate Its very light weight. I was worried about transferring the data from my old device to this one. I thought I would need help but it was so easy I was able to do it myself. The transfer was smooth and fast. It’s basic features are great. I purchased the Apple Pencil (2nd gen) and I’m definitely going to get the Magic Keyboard to use it as a computer at home. I’m going to need to watch videos in order to figure out how to use it to its maximum potential. I was able to get it on sale and used a trade in so I’m extra happy with this purchase from BestBuy.
