Even though I thought I was getting the latest generation when I ordered, this model is more than most people would ever need. It quickly loaded my information, and has been fun to use. The facial recognition feature took a few tries to work efficiently. The camera is a fine one….see below.

I love this iPad and the ability to use face recognition. It’s a great size, especially for us older individuals. I also love the cell coverage to be able to pull up movies while waiting for my car inspection, or at a doctor’s office. I’m glad I upgraded to this. My photo shows the iPad with a protective cover. The screen protective cover itself, unfortunately, lets some dust, etc. get behind it. It’s not a static type. It just lays on top. Being I have a broken wrist, it’s not easy for me to take the cover off to clean, so that will have to wait. I would not give the cover as good of a review as the iPad.

Best buy is the place when i need my gadgets. Thank you best buy for my new ipad pro 12.9. I bought it cheaper then apple store. Thank you for the savings i made because of you.

I bought this for my husband for his birthday. He loves it. His computer recently went out, so we ended up buying him the keyboard. Now he just loves it even more carries it everywhere he goes, uses it for work. Also to do his homework. Thinking of buying one for myself also.

Worked great for school. Used as a mini laptop when attached to the Bluetooth keyboard and very useful for any personal or business related activities.

Its not the latest ipad, but it is at the time of writing this review still previous gen, which is still great for the price per performance.

Great product. Bought this for my kids to use educational products and be able to create their own photo/art presentations. 12.9 inch is a way to go. Beautiful screen. We use simly piano and it is much better on larger screen. My initial concern was the memory. This version has 8GB memory instead of 16GB found in 1TB device, but I yet to run into an app where this would be an issue. Runs really smoothly. The wifi is a great feature when traveling as runs better than hotspot (can also elect to use different provider to assure coverage). Would definitely buy again.

I was not seriously contemplating buying this M1 12.9” iPad Pro. I had 2018 11” A12 iPad Pro. Lately I had almost stopped using the old 11” one as once you get taste of the mini-led XDR display on MacBook Pro and the larger screen, there is no going back. Even with the Magic Keyboard, 11” really doesn’t cut it. I tried this 12.9” model with lower expectations as I thought - after all, it is an iPad again. I can tell any buyers who are thinking about this, the 12.9” model is really useful and helps with multi-tasking like split screen or stage manager etc. The XDR display really is eye candy with 120hz pro motion. The M1 processor make a world of difference when you edit videos. Now, this really rivals a MacBook Pro. Given the retail cost before sale is higher than a MacBook Air, the advantages are quite clear for an iPad. The display alone makes a huge difference. Having the fabless design rivals the quietness of an air. The accessories give it a new look altogether and it’s more portable than a laptop. I used Luma-fusion for a work video editing and really was blown away with the experience. The HDR content on this display is out of the world and I have not experienced any blooming. The deep blacks and high contrasts - once you taste it, there is no going back to any IPS panel any more. Now, I will say, the Sale price really made it worth. I wanted a 512GB model. No way I could afford 1500+ $/-. Also got a price match when price had fallen to 999$ one day. Sweet !

I had an iPad Pro second generation I originally bought to watch movies, read books, and to take notes. I became obsessed with Procreate (a drawing application). Over time the battery got worse and worse and the performance dropped. At one point I couldn't update the application anymore. I bought the iPad Pro 5th generation as a pre-release. Like all things Apple, you’re definitely paying a premium but for someone who is serious about their art of craft - worth it. Pros: + the processing power is a BEAST. It’s effortless and smooth. The M1 makes a huge difference. + the camera is amazing and the depth sensor opens worlds of possibilities for immersive, but you’ll likely rarely use it + it’s an Apple so the resell value is great. This reduces the cost of ownership because when you upgrade in a few years you can still sell for a good amount. Neutral (compared to the Gen2): - the Mini LED feels a bit hyped. The screen in side-by-side comparisons wasn’t noticeably better in my opinion. If you’re not a professional who relies on nuanced color calibration, etc. you may not notice a difference. I am a photographer and don’t think most people will notice a difference. - the form factor remains largely unchanged. With a case, it’s still a heavy machine relatively speaking. Negatives - price. I got the 256GB plus a case and a pencil. It’s a big chunk on money for most people. Most people should stick with an Air or regular iPad. Throw in the keyboard and some dongles and taxes and you’ve cleared two thousand pretty easily. - the form factor is slightly thicker than Gen4 so while I got a case that fits, the Apple Pencil didn’t charge. So if you need pencil charging, get a Gen5 case. - Apple really needs to just commit to one port type. This is lightning (USB C) which is great, but most apple products are still lightning. More of an annoyance, but make up your mind Apple! - it’s almost a PC replacement but not quite there for most people. Certain user types may be able yo replace their PC or Mac but I still see it as a secondary device.

Really love this iPad so far! I am glad I purchased the larger size - it really is perfect. The speed of the M1 chip works perfectly fine for Procreate use which is why I purchased one with more storage. So far no complaints. My new favorite piece of tech.

I’ve had many tablets in my life span. This iPad makes all other tablets feel useless. I love this tablet. The quality is perfect. Easy to use. Screen is massive. Quick response. It’s worth the buy.

Buy it unlocked, if possible, usually cheaper. I replaced a Gen II iPad Pro 12.9 with this 2023 version 12.9 iPad Pro. The new model is narrow compared to the older one and will not fit in my Otter Box. The newer processor is faster. Comments about battery are mixed. I can work for two days without requiring a charge. I bought my 5G unlocked and added it to AT&T. My previous iPad ran 4G on Verizon, so now I get the best of both worlds, an AT&T tablet with Verizon phone to hotspot if needed for work. Very satisfied with the new iPad.

Should have bought this model instead of the 11” iPad Pro. This bigger screen makes a BIG difference, no pun intended. Went with the 11” over a year ago and was very happy with it, but this became available on a deal of the day for $999, which was too good to pass up while using my 11” iPad Pro as a trade in to bring the price down way more. So happy I did it!

Upgraded from an iPad Air 2 to this 12.9 iPad. Kept my Air 2 for my online ordering accounts, my video doorbell program, and my electronic tv guide. Wanted a larger 12.9 screen for my online banking, my e-mail accounts, my security camera program, and my Office Suite software. Love this unit!

Great choice for someone on the go. It has amazing screen and great speed with the M1. Also love having the cellular option when not near WIFi. Highly recommend the Magic Keyboard add on to make this bad boy a true laptop replacement (keep in mind it does gwt heavy)
