My son wanted an iPad that was fast enough to use for college. The regular iPad would have been good, but not strong enough. The iPad Pro was way stronger but very expensive, so we went with the iPad Air. It was a great choice. It is strong enough for schoolwork and entertainment if he chooses to use it that way.
