I purchased my Apple - 27" iMac® - Intel Core i5 (3.4GHz) - 8GB Memory - 1TB Fusion Drive in silver about a month ago and I have never been happier. I hesitated to get an 8GB machine knowing that I would be using it for video editing and projects that involve Final Cut Pro and Photoshop. However, I watched a vid on YouTube as to how easy it was to add additional RAM, yourself, and even save money in the process- that completely sealed the deal for me. I needed a machine with power and a big monitor as I have several projects going on simultaneously. And with the integration of iCloud, I'm never without my projects. I take my MacBook Pro along with me and I'm able to access my files anywhere. This iMac has served all of my purposes, wants and needs and then some. If you are on the fence about the Apple - 27" iMac® - let me assure you that it's a great value.

Screen's 5K display looks incredible compared to my old Mac. Makes text crisp and clear to improve legibility. I'm a graphic designer, and I also do video work. It handles photoshop easily as well as the rest of the adobe suite. It can render video in real time, which is a huge time saver and convenient. Adding RAM is a breeze, just like older models, simply open a easy access compartment and slip in the additional slots. The fusion drive is also super convenient for quicker access to important features. One of my favorite features is the complete silence. I'm coming from a Mac with a loud fan when rendering video. Which sometimes had to be done while I sleep and kept me up. This machine is 100% silent. You can't even tell if it's off or on once the display sleeps. Great machine. Doesn't look much different from previous mac's on the outside, but has had a complete overhaul in the innards.

Bought this about a month ago. Prior to the iMac, I was using a Macbook Air with an external monitor as my primary driver. This completely changed the experience of my workflow. This machine has a beautiful screen, is incredibly fast, smooth, and sleek. I sincerely enjoy and look forward to sitting down and working on this computer.

I have a 2008 iMac and wanted to upgrade for faster speeds. I'm retired from commercial printing, but I still do a lot of graphic design work for friends and family. I use Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Acrobat and on my new iMac the processing speed is unbelievable. I now use the two of them together to create some beautiful work.

What else can I say, the 5K display on this is gorgeous. The computer is fast and so far works great with just about every photo editing program I use. The keyboard does take a little getting used to but I've compare it and it is a normal sized keyboard minus the numeric portion. The speakers on this thing do not disappoint at all and the setup is super simple as 123. The front camera is not as great as I thought it would be but I guess thats something apple just won't change so for that I give it 4 stars. So far everything has been working like a charm so I don't really have anything negative besides the keyboard that does take some getting used to.

I had a Mac in college but in an unfortunate event of leaving it in the car on a hot summer day in Florida, it reached its end much too soon. I waited years to purchase a new computer but we finally broke down and decided to go for the Mac desktop. I love it!! The clarity is amazing, it has tons of helpful tips, and its so easy to use! The speed is also amazing. I think I will always miss my old Mac laptop, i mean, you never forget your first love but this Mac Desktop is a match in computer heaven.

Kept looking and looking, hesitatant to pull the trigger on this purchase for awhile. I have everything else Apple and this was last (so far) item I wanted to complete the set! I have a MacBook Pro which I love, but wanted something bigger for my home office. Finally did it and am absolutely loving it! The 27" screen makes things so much easer. I can load three programs on the screen and use them all - copy and paste, drag and drop or just use references for my work piece. The screen is so clear you don't get the red eye when working for several hours. I will do a review of the MagicTrackpad separately but strongly suggest getting it to use with this set up. The screen is huge so it takes forever to use a mouse to maneuver around! I use these for general home projects: bills, research, email, writing and streaming.

Never thought I’d be a house full of apple products. The iMac works flawlessly coming. I’m coming from a HP laptop, and the iMac is not only fast, it’s simplicity amazing especially how it connects with my iPhone. Even down to the Magic Mouse. I’m speechless but I can only ask mussels, why didn’t I try an iMac out earlier in life?

Where do I begin, really there is so much positive to say about this 27 inch iMac. Usually I don't write reviews but I have felt compelled to write this one due how well this machine has performed. I purchased the entry level edition to do my YouTube videos and editing and I got to say that this product has met my professional needs with ease. The 5K display is very easy on the eyes and extremely bright, but also gets extremely dim and the colors pop. The performance is awesome with dedicated graphics and even with the base 8GB of ram it was able to handle my video editing needs with pretty much ease. When I need more ram I can easily upgrade it on the rear. That made this an easy choice because at this price this computer is an investment and upgradeable ram to 64GB makes this a worthy one. The fusion drive is not quite as fast to boot up as a ssd but its still very quick for daily work and it seriously is not an issue unless you have absolutely zero patience the fusion will be fine for most. The design is super solid and sleek just like the rest of the apple product line it reminds me of the iPhone 6/7 aluminum body and MacBooks but just much larger. This computer is pretty heavy though so I think you might want to set it up a and leave it in one place for a while. Really the iMac is suitable for family households, businesses, profession bloggers, video bloggers, app developers, musicians. After using this for 2 months now I can say this is probably more computer than most people need, but if you are looking for the absolute best 5K bargain and all in one bargain this machine cannot be beat currently. Also best buy price matched B and H and would have price matched any competitor I was told so do that before you purchase and enjoy your new beast machine.
