Love the noise cancelling features on these. Super comfortable, doesn’t fall out of ear, seems durable. Easy to connect and battery lasts a long time. I’ve done flights from Hawai’i to east coast and flew using them the whole time.

The fit is also better for me compared to the AirPods 2, since the shorter stem and contoured design feel more secure in my ears without being uncomfortable. I also like how seamlessly they connect to all my Apple devices—the automatic switching between my iPhone and iPad is super convenient. The only downside for me is that they don’t have active noise cancellation like the AirPods Pro. I previously had the airpods 3 and though they still worked, the battery life has been falling off after several years of use so I went for an upgrade. I have never used noise cancelling so was quite blown away by the active noise cancelling feature - it really does block out the ambient noise and let's you focus on what you are playing / hearing! I've been using these now for several weeks and they work completely as advertised. Charges easily, connects effortlessly, great sound quality and I am enjoying the smaller profile earbuds. If you wear any type of headphones / earbuds, these are at least worth strong consideration. Highly recommended!

Finally noice cancelling in a headphone style that fits my ears! I have smaller ears so most earbuds including the Apple AirPod pros are too big for my ears. These fit easily, are comfortable and the battery life is amazing.

My full on detailed review after 3 days of use. Okay, first things first, ANC is solid for what the buds are and without the eartip. It has no issues knocking an aircon out of the room or the buzzing of a refrigerator. Positives: This may be apples SMALLEST available package of any electronics. The case itself is probably the smallest case ever released onto the open market, which makes it easily portably in a bag, a pocket, or a purse. This is also in my opinion, the BEST case on the market for these reasons. These buds are COMFORTABLE so long as they fit. I had my girlfriend try these and she said they weren’t great, but I can happily wear these for their entire battery life with no ear fatigue. Finally, these have the best transparency mode of any buds I’ve ever tried (I’ve owned 8 or 9 wireless buds at this point in my life) and it honestly feels like I’m not wearing anything. Negatives: For what these buds are, they’re overpriced for sure. These should be about $150 max. The buds themselves only have 4 hour battery lives, which means if you’re someone who wears buds at work or some other public environment, you’re gonna have to charge em at some point. ANC isn’t great, if you’re in a noisy area, you’re gonna have to turn your music or media up quite a lot to actually drown the noise out. This IS to be expected but it’s still a bit of a downside (still the best “open ear” ANC on the market though). Overall I’d give these an 8/10. They sound pretty good as all airpods have, they’re well built, and they provide a strong package. Personally, I like them more than the AirPods Pro 2 but these are overpriced. If you’re debating on these or the pros 2 and don’t care about price, get the Pros 2, but if you’re looking for a good set of buds WITH AN APPLE DEVICE while also trying to save a buck, these are a great choice. Finally upgraded from the original AirPods and the difference is night and day. The ANC is legit - cuts out BART noise, open office chatter, all of it. Sound quality is noticeably better too, especially for podcasts and calls. Fit is comfortable for long wear (I use them through 2-3 hour work sessions no problem). The case is smaller than the Pros which I appreciate. Battery life has been solid. Only minor gripe: wish the touch controls were slightly more customizable. But overall very happy with the purchase. If you're debating between these and the non-ANC version, spend the extra money.

I ended up buying the AirPods 4 with ANC because I was over wearing earbuds with tips due to irritation and just feeling like my head was clogged. I had AirPods 2 back when and liked how they just sit right in your ear and they worked well for phone calls, music and podcasts. These are more for convenience than sound and they work perfect with my iPhone and Apple Watch so it was a no brainer. Picked them up on a sale and really enjoy them, the Spatial Audio simulates wearing over ear headphones but can make some things sound thin although I prefer since it helps the soundstage sound more open. The ANC works well enough considering these don’t have tips to isolate, I can usually be out and about and with ANC on and my music or podcast going it keeps the outside noises to a minimum, really cool tech feat for Apple. I’d say these are worth picking up if you have a compatible device and they sound decent but audiophiles will need to look elsewhere.

The airpods are amazing and the noice cancelation is top tier, and the bass is great with crystal clear audio. The case is the perfect size where its small enough to go into any pocket, and it has a speaker so if you lose the case you can use the find my app to find everything. Its perfect and doesnt break the bank, so if your thinking of buying them i recommend it.
