My New iMac: A Review I just bought a 24-inch iMac with the M4 chip, and I want to be clear about something: this computer makes me look better on video calls than I've looked in person since 2007. The camera is so flattering, I genuinely don't recognize myself. I'm on a Zoom call and I'm thinking, "Who is this handsome stranger, and why is he nodding when I nod?" My wife walked by and asked who I was talking to. I said, "Myself, but the hot version." Apple calls it "Built for Apple Intelligence." I don't know what that means, but I'm pretty sure this computer is smarter than me. It boots up faster than I can form a coherent thought in the morning. I press the button, and it's ready. Meanwhile, I still need forty-five minutes and two cups of coffee before I can remember my own middle name. The screen is 24 inches of pure, crisp beauty. It's so clear I can finally see every pore, every blemish, every questionable life decision reflected in my own face during video calls. So there's that. Clarity cuts both ways. But here's the thing—it's silver. Just the right amount of "I'm a professional" and "I've given up on having a personality." It matches my hair, which is either intentional or a sign I've reached the beige stage of adulthood. Ten-core CPU. Ten-core GPU. Sixteen gigs of memory. I don't know what any of this means, but I nodded very seriously when the Apple guy said it, and I'll nod seriously now telling you. It does everything fast. Everything. It opens programs like it's been waiting its whole life for this moment. Like a golden retriever who finally gets to go for a walk. And it's thin. So thin I keep looking behind it expecting to find the rest of the computer. It's just... not there. Where does the computer go? I'm convinced Apple has broken some law of physics, and we're all just too impressed to report it. Look, I'll be honest. I bought this thing because I'm a therapist who does teletherapy, and my old computer made me look like I was broadcasting from a submarine during a brownout. Now? Now I look like I have my life together. The iMac is doing more for my professional image than a decade of graduate school. Is it worth it? I've spent more money on worse decisions. At least this one makes me look good. 5 out of 5 stars. Would feel vaguely superior again.

I absolutely love my iMac. The screen is stunningly clear and bright, making everything from everyday tasks to creative work feel smooth and enjoyable. It runs fast, stays quiet, and handles multitasking with ease, which makes my workflow feel effortless instead of frustrating. The design is sleek and modern, and it fits beautifully into my space without feeling bulky. I also appreciate how seamlessly it works with my other Apple devices, making transitions between tasks quick and simple. Overall, the iMac feels reliable, powerful, and thoughtfully designed, and it has easily become one of my favorite tech purchases.

Excellent computer! Fast, quiet, and very smooth performance. The display is sharp with great brightness and comfortable colors. Sleek, minimalist design fits perfectly in any workspace. High build quality and a very comfortable keyboard. Perfect for work and everyday use. Highly recommended!

I have accomplished one of my long-time goals purchasing this desktop! I now have my dream office set-up and I feel like I can now work more efficiently with my desktop. It’s so sleek and works amazing! Would never want anything different.

Love my new Mac! Easy to use and much faster than my old one. The service I received at Best Buy was great, she made sure I was getting the Mac that was best for me. Very happy with my purchase.

Such a beautiful color and performs amazingly! Very smooth and fast and takes up little desk space

Super fast and powerful, check. The I/O is surprisingly limited especially on an iMac. The desktops have always kept more ports on them than the portables. The long over due center stage camera is my favorite feature.

The new iMac received a couple days earlier than the projected delivery date, and was packaged so securely that it took me longer to unpack it than to set it up and start getting my wireless printers connected to it. I've been using iMacs since early 2000s and am hooked. They always have fit in with my other technology, but this model almost set itself up. Better every time I get a new one.

Excellent, I am very happy, my iMac works perfectly, the color is beautiful and it is very fast, the seller was also very kind

I use an Apple computer in school, several years ago. It has taken me a while to get adjusted because everything is so different. This iMac is the 2nd one I had to purchase because the 1st one was defective. Best Buy was very cooperative in getting me a new replacement. The 2nd IMac has never caused me a problem. I love it and am happy with the purchase and would recommend it.

Great computer beautiful design, it’s very well made and works very fast. Great storage to satisfy my needs.

From the moment I powered it on, the iMac 24 has been nothing short of breathtaking. It's sleek, fast, and incredibly intuitive-everything you want in a modern machine. The 10-core CPU deliver seamless performance, while the vibrant blue finish adds a bold, sophisticated touch to any space. With 16 GB dog memory and a 512GB SSD, it's ready for anything throw at it. Apple Intelligence truly shines here responsive, reliable, and just a touch away.

Awesome! I updated from a 21.5" 2017 iMac and the speed difference is remarkable. I did have to re-install some apps because they were updated for the Silicone M4 chip, but no problem. This model has 4 ports and the ethernet connection is available on the power supply.

I'm loving this new 24" iMac. It replaced a 27" iMac that I bought back in 2008 and other than being a little smaller it's fantastic. Everything is sharper and faster with all of the newer features I enjoy on my MacBook. I'm also glad that I waited to get a blue one, it's a nice change of pace. I need to figure out how to hook up my external speakers and transfer my iTunes library to it but I'm getting there.

Maravilhoso! Super recomendo. Computador lindo e funcional.

I initially bought my iMac for editing but after a month or two of having it , I realized how much more there is to it. I started gaming on my iMac which is very enjoying!

Great replacement for our church's 10 year old "vintage" Mac. Ty to Best Buy for making this a smooth purchase.

This 24 inch blue iMac was an awesome buy, gave me a chance to upgrade from my other iMac, 21.5 inch which is over six years old and was running a bit slow, so I decided to give the new blue iMac a go.

I had an IMac 27 for over 10 years and it was time to replace the over the years very slow working computer. My new IMac works great is fast the only thing I don't like the the smaller screen I hoped Apple would get back to 27 inch but unfortunately they don't . If I have both IMac next to each other the difference screen size is really noticable

I own nothing but Apple products from phones to iPads to Computers… This computer was for a replacement for a Larger Apple computer that crashed. Huge Apple product fan
