This was to replace an older 27" iMac. The retina display is outstanding, it is so quiet and thin, I have extra space on my desk. Transferring my old desktop was a cinch using Migration Assistant. Since the old iMac didn't have the thunderbolt port, I though I was stuck with the standard wireless migration, thankfully I was able to use the ethernet to ethernet option, it really reduced the time it took. The new Keyboard and magic mouse are all rechargeable via lighting port, yea! no more AA battery change outs. I had been reviewing places to purchase and settled on Best Buy because they had it in stock and was cheaper than apple was selling it for. So painless, I walked in and asked for the iMac and was out in less than 30 minutes, and that is how a coordinated successful purchase is done.

This computer is so great! I changed from a MacBook Pro to an iMac and it's great! Faster!

Windows pc user all my life and finally purchased a Mac. I was tired of viruses. Mac's can get them but no where near what a pc gets. Awesome display, easy to use! Highly recommend the larger display.

This is my first time buying a Mac computer. At first, I was having difficult time using but the apple care helped me with my problems. Apple customer care were really helpful.

I would highly recommend this product to anyone who wants a fast computer. It runs 3 programs at once, all while I surf the web on Pinterest, Facebook, etc. I usually always have Pandora going. So it runs: Photoshop, Lightroom, pandora, Pinterest, Facebook, and maybe some other websites! lol I'm a busy bee! Don't hesitate, buy the Mac!

This is my first Mac computer. I'm 50 years old and haven't had an apple computer since the apple IIc. I've had an iPhone and iPad for years but still was "pc" in computers. My son is a photography buff so I bought the iMac for photo editing etc I love it more than he does. It's so easy to use. I'm sorry it took me thus long to go Mac

I have been using this MAC for work everyday for the past 5 years, even my boys play minecraft on it, it’s worth every penny. I never had an issue with it.

Love this Mac apple should of put 16 gigs of ram instead of 8 because the 5k uses a lot of resources Bit coming from a business owner of a recording studio it works well with Avid Protools

This was my first iMac. Set up is so easy. The best computer I've ever purchased. It connects to all of your Apple Products and the graphics are amazing!!!

I really took the time to compare the various types of computers out there and this one grabbed my attention. 27" screen really does makes a difference and the OS system is fast and responsive.

The big screen is a delight to work with. The colors are bright and clear.

There is no better Desktop Computer with the highest quality image display and the Best of Apple OSX.

So I went into best buy to but a IMAC and walked out with a 27 inch apple iMac. What a great deal!

Nice big screen. Fast. Good graphics. But the fan is always running, at least at a low speed, so in a quiet room you will definitely hear it. I had it checked out and Apple said it was normal. Also, I like the big screen. I use two monitors at work and this one screen is big enough to do the same thing, if you want to open two things side by side, no problem.

They don't really make drastic changes to the iMac with each release so there was nothing unexpected. It is faster and has a better display than the older model. Works perfectly right out of the box. The rechargeable batteries in the mouse and keyboard is my favorite upgrade.
