A: Not from Best Buy you can’t. You’d have to go to Apple to purchase an unlocked phone. Best Buy makes you purchase a plan or add it to an existing plan when you purchase the phone.
A: It’s my understanding that Best Buy don’t sell unlocked phones anymore. You’ll have to go to Apple for that. Once you choose AT&T, I believe the phone is carrier locked. Now with the new eSims, I don’t know if that’s changed.
