A: The only way you can get an unlocked iPhone 15, is by purchasing it directly thru Apple. Otherwise, you’ll have to buy it thru a carrier.
A: As of now, it is carrier locked. But Verizon has a policy that they unlock all of their devices 60 days after the first date of activation, considering you’ve paid your bill on time(s). After 60 days, there are no sim restrictions on your new device, and you may use any carrier of your choice. As long as they are esim compatible.

You can unlock your phone by contacting Verizon and requesting an unlock. There may/will be a fee associated with unlocking your phone.
