For $679.99 you can't beat it for a Mac. Granted being a dual core instead of quad means you can't run as much, but at 2.7ghz who can complain? Video streaming on the Intel Iris is awesome with Hulu, Netflix, and YouTube. Even gaming is sufficent with the few titles available. Games such as Bioshock, Doom3, Oddworld, and Left 4 Dead 2 run great. Haven't tried Bioshock Infinate yet though. The operating system runs very smoothly, and boots up really fast. Navigating is a bit of a stretch if your used to Windows, but it's easy to leard quickly. In my opinion this OS is much more sleek and easy to operate than Windows by far. All in all I think this is the best Mac computer for the entry level. Definitely worth the $200 more than the $479.99 1.4ghz machine. Cause of this computer I will definitely buy an iMac or MacBook Pro as my next upgrade down the line.

I purchased this computer as a secondary one in addition to my 27” iMac. It worked great with the 32” television I used it on until I decided to buy a cinema display so I could edit high-definiton photos. It works like a charm and it gets the job done. 1TB hard drive is more than enough, and the memory in this is incredible. I multitask using ‘Premiere Pro CS6’ and ‘Photoshop CS6’ and it has yet to fail me. Apple computers are in fact more in a price prospective but they hold their value and is reflected in their performance. I would invest in the Apple Magic Mouse and the Wireless Keyboard for the best results.

I already had a monitor, keyboard and mouse but wanted to convert to an iMac for less than a $1000 and I decided to purchase the iMac mini and I found the 2.6 Ghz 8 GB ram with a 1 TB hard drive for $699 was the best choice for me. When Best Buy advertised the device for $51 off at $649.99 I decided to dive in and make the purchase. I haven't regreted this decision for one moment. I liked using my PC w/ Windows XP, I was OK with using Windows 7, but after trying Win 10 I had enough of Windows!

Now, don't get me wrong... I'm a multi OS kinda guy. I have Linux, Windows, now OS X. Gotta say Im loving the experience so far. This Mac mini is fast, fluid, easy to use and a real joy. I've been using it for college, and it does what I need it to do.

As an "old guy" I like things simple and efficient, this more than meets that criteria but gives me plenty of room to grow and learn. You get to customize it to your satisfaction with the monitor, keyboard, and mouse, plus add accessories as needed...no wasted space. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a killer desktop that hides in plain sight!
