Customer Ratings & Reviews

Impressive speed. Silent and very powerful. I was hesitating between a Macbook Pro M3 Max and this one, but now I have no doubts. My Cinema 4D/Redshift projects that took 3-4 days to render on a beefed up PC with Nvidia graphics, now only take one night to render on this baby. Love it so far!

Mac Studio working great! Migration from old Mac worked perfectly.

Great performance, value. Somewhat costly; however mind boggling experience, etc.

Yes! The Apple M2 Ultra is the Best desktop computer money can buy.

It was everything I expected. Very fast too!! I use it to edit pictures and it works wonderful. I highly recommend.

The M2 Ultra studio is dead silent, and has ample processing power for 2023 computing needs. The 1TB storage is exceptionally fast. To be honest, most people's needs can be met with a Mac Mini with M2, but the extra cores, GPU, and RAM that come standard on the Studio with M2 Ultra add a lot of speed. I tend to keep my Macs for a long time, so I bought "more than I need" to prolong the useful life of the computer. I don't do anything that needs this class of computer, it was more a buy once and cry once situation for me. Those who do a lot of "creative" work will see massive gains from the M2 Ultra for photo editing and movie editing where this machine truly excels. I'm merely a hobbyist at those endeavors, so the extra speed is a nice to have, but not essential for me. Overall, this is a fantastic piece of hardware for anyone with processor intensive needs. I've stressed the CPU by running some BOINC applications (Einstein @ Home) running CPU at 100% and the system was still responsive. The fans never sped up, and despite the air blowing out the back being pretty warm, it showed no signs of distress. I'm rather impressed, and also out $4k for a computer that is overkill for my computing needs. The Mac Studio M2 Ultra is a graphical workstation class machine. As said before, most would be well served by a Mini, but the extra RAM, CPU &. GPU cores, and storage that comes standard on the Studio make a compelling, if expensive, upgrade. The machine itself is a 5/5. The value is more like 4/5, in typical Apple fashion, RAM and storage are expensive; there's A LOT of power here, but you pay for it for sure. Best Buy's shipping gets 2/5 for not shipping it until the day before the "get it by" date. UPS gets 0/5 stars for 2 delays on shipment. When one has to be home to sign for the delivery, that's a massive inconvenience. Pick it up in-store instead of relying on the shipping if you want no unpleasant surprises.

Incredible machine for the power consumption. It really is quiet and stays cool.

Lightning fast. Can work in multiple heavy running apps with no bog down. The studio is also super quiet so you don't even know it’s running. Wish I could purchase several of these machines.

Super powerful. There is tons of power and slots of storage.

Keep in mind that I upgraded from a 2011 Mac Pro (desktop tower) that still works fine but is too old for many software updates, including Mac OS. The Mac Studio M2 Ultra has stunning speed compared to the old Mac that I have. It also is super quiet; when the monitors are in sleep mode, I can't even tell that the computer is on. SSDs are, of course, silent compared to disk drives. But the fans on the Mac Studio are super quiet as well. So far, the Mac Studio has performed consistent will all the positive comments I've seen online.

Great mech. fast, quite. this is our third one, working great

For $4K I expected the best…and I got it. I’ve been testing it with some tough computer renderings and it’s held its own. The best part is how quiet it even when stressed. I love this computer.

This M2 Ultra chip is no joke! Combined with 6Gb of RAM, this machine is powering through everything I throw at it. Professional video & audio recording & editing is what I do. Multiple streams of 4k video are no problem.

Best Apple product I’ve bought so far. I’ve been using Apple for my computer solutions for a long time and this is fast and compact.

Its fast. I installed all my music software Logic Pro X and plugins. Final Cut Pro along with Photoshop and Illustrator. I've used about 200gigs. Loaded up music projects that previously took all my processing power and barely used any CPU. So its great for music. Still recommend keeping your sound libs and assets on an external disk. Coming from an iMac with a 3t drive it's a little strange limiting the internal drive to only system software and applications but it is what it is. This machine is overkill for just browsing the internet.

Ultra fast and quiet. Just a workhorse for my work in post-production. I highly recommend.

Best computer I have ever purchased. The studio is sleek, small design with a fast processor. Best computer decision I’ve made to date.

Bought the open-box M2 Ultra Mac Studio. Packaging and product came in without issues. Product Works great. Go Geeksquad !!

Perfect and powerful for what I needed for. Will full fill all of your needs for heavy resource softwares.
