I purchased an open box model of this and I have to say, so far this thing really exceeds expectations big time! It is a joy to use in every way. Using this just feels so fast and snappy. Everything I have thrown at it so far, it has handled with ease. The typing experience on here is really just on another level compared to other laptops I have tried out. Originally- I purchased one of the new Snapdragon laptops. A Lenovo slim 7x as they had it on "sale" for cyber Monday. They were what everyone was talking about, the new AI computers and it had rather impressive specs all things considered. It had a similar profile and build compared to the Macbook Air as well. I am fortunate I was given an extended return window and I got to really try it out and ultimately I decided it just was not worth keeping. Everything that computer did well, this Macbook does better. It is well built, comfortable, efficient, and powerful! Plus I get to stay in the Apple ecosystem as well, which is wonderful! I can mirror my phone on here, my airpods connect seamlessly and swap between all my devices depending on what I am doing. Overall, I think this is a fantastic machine and I am satisfied with my purchase! I think for most people, the M2 version is going to be more than capable for nearly anything you will need out of a computer. That has been the case for me personally anyway. I was really torn between this computer or a Macbook Pro but at the end of the day I really did not need the extra performance or anything to justify spending that extra money. Plus I really like the Air better anyway and think the form factor is much more comfortable and convenient. If you are looking for a powerful, compact, and comfortable experience look no further! Do not waste your money getting the newer M3 model either as it offers minimal incentive aside from slight improvement to the GPU performance. This will handle anything most people will want to do with ease! Plus the battery life is absolutely fantastic! These new AI PCs claim to have similar or better battery life/performance but most of that has proven untrue. As far as the performance goes especially. They are really sneaky with their claims.
