A: Check out all the videos about thermals with the M2 MacBook Air on YouTube... it appears they either didn't put a good heatsink in or didn't include one at all. The chip throttles after a few minutes of a hard load and tops out around 105 degrees Celsius. I agree, you get a new design for "cheaper" with the M2 MacBook Air, but the inclusion of a fan with the M2 MacBook Pro makes it a far more stable machine.

We needed a lightweight but powerful laptop for my daughter to carry out her schoolwork, coding classes and small video editing stuff and this laptop proved to be the perfect companion. I traded my 2014 Intel i5 MacBook air and the whole switching process was perfectly seamless. Getting the best price from Best buy to setting up the new shiny laptop was just a breeze. I can say almost zero downtime. New macbook air-2 has much smaller footprint and it retains the best craftman ship of earlier Air. Small notable upgrades 1) Retina display is much better with vivid colors, sharp details, and excellent viewing angles. Editing photos, watching movies, or simply browsing the web, the visual experience is nothing short of exceptional. 2) Performance: Performance-wise, the MacBook Air 2 packs a punch. Equipped with the latest generation of Apple's M2series chip, it delivers blazing-fast speeds and smooth multitasking capabilities. Video editing on imovies is much better than ever. 3) Battery life: Comparision with our old air would not be justified to old machine but this is again area where we felt at home. The battery life is simply impressive, providing all-day usage without needing to reach for the charger. Best buy professional also helped me to save on purchasing apple care with Best buy membership (I no longer need to worry about key getting broken when my kiddo playing her games on Arcade).
