Customer Ratings & Reviews

The MacBook Pro M5 feels less like a laptop upgrade and more like stepping into the future of computing. From the second you open the lid, everything about it screams premium. The aluminum chassis is still that iconic Apple build sleek, rigid, and insanely refined but the real magic starts when you press the power button. It wakes instantly. No waiting. No loading. Just ready. And then the performance hits. The M5 chip is absurdly fast. Apps launch before your brain even registers the click. Video editing in 4K (and even 8K) feels smooth like you’re scrubbing through photos. Multitasking doesn’t slow it down at all dozens of tabs, creative software, streaming, background exports… it just keeps going like it’s bored. Battery life is where it becomes almost unfair. You stop thinking about charging. Seriously. This thing just lasts. All day work sessions, content creation, browsing, music, editing you close it at night and still have battery left. It finally feels like a “grab it and go” pro machine with zero anxiety. The display is jaw-dropping. Mini-LED/ProMotion looks unbelievably crisp and fluid. Blacks are deep, colors pop, brightness punches through any lighting. Whether you’re editing thumbnails, watching content, or gaming casually, it’s one of those screens that makes everything else look washed out. The keyboard and trackpad are still the best in the business. Typing feels precise and satisfying. The trackpad is massive and flawless no learning curve, no frustration, just control. It feels like an extension of your hands. And then there’s the silent power. No loud fans screaming when you push it. No heat roasting your lap. It just performs. Quietly. Efficiently. Effortlessly. For creators, this machine is ridiculous: Video exports are lightning fast Photo editing is instant Streaming + editing simultaneously is no problem Music production runs smooth with zero lag Coding feels snappy and responsive It doesn’t just keep up with your workflow it removes friction from it. Even everyday stuff feels premium. Opening apps, FaceTime calls, browsing, AirDrop, iPhone integration… everything is seamless in a way Windows laptops still struggle to match. The Apple ecosystem just clicks. What really sells it though? It feels like a device you’ll use for years. Not something that feels outdated in 12 months. Not something that slows down. It feels future-proof like it’ll still be fast, relevant, and reliable long after other laptops start showing age. This isn’t just a laptop. It’s a creative workstation. A portable studio. A productivity monster. And somehow… it still fits in a backpack. If the M5 MacBook Pro delivers on what Apple’s silicon has been trending toward more power, better efficiency, smarter AI acceleration this might be the first laptop that genuinely makes people stop asking “Do I need an upgrade?” and start asking “Why would I use anything else?”

I recently upgraded to this 14-inch MacBook Pro with the new M5 chip, and I am honestly blown away by the performance bump. Coming from an older M-series machine, the speed difference with the 10-core CPU is noticeable immediately—apps launch instantly, and multitasking with dozens of tabs and creative software is completely stutter-free thanks to the 16GB of unified memory. Pros: Performance: The M5 chip is a beast. Whether I'm editing 4K video or just running my daily workflow, the laptop runs cool and quiet. The 10-core GPU handles light gaming and graphics tasks much better than I expected for a base model. Design: The Space Black finish is gorgeous. It looks incredibly sleek and professional, and it seems to resist fingerprints better than the older Midnight colored Airs. Display: The screen is the perfect sweet spot—14 inches is portable enough to carry everywhere but big enough to actually get work done. The brightness and contrast are top-tier. Battery Life: I’m easily getting a full day of work (8-10 hours) on a single charge without needing to hunt for an outlet. Cons: Storage: 512GB is fast, but if you work with large media files, you might want to rely on external drives or cloud storage eventually. Verdict: If you are looking for a machine that balances portability with serious power, this is it. The Space Black color is a head-turner, and the M5 chip future-proofs this laptop for years to come. Highly recommended!

I’ve been using the new MacBook Pro with the M5 chip for a few weeks now, and it’s easily the most powerful and refined laptop I’ve ever owned. Apple somehow managed to make a machine that feels faster, quieter, and more efficient all at once. The M5 chip is unreal. Apps open instantly, multitasking is effortless, and even heavy workflows like video editing, AI tools, and large files run smoothly without a hiccup. It doesn’t get hot, the fans barely make a sound, and battery life is outstanding even under real workload, not just light browsing. The display is stunning. Colors are vibrant, text is razor-sharp, and the brightness makes working anywhere a pleasure. Whether I’m editing, streaming, or just working daily tasks, it feels premium every time I open it. Build quality is classic Apple. Solid, sleek, and professional. The keyboard is comfortable for long sessions, the trackpad is still the best in the industry, and everything feels thoughtfully designed. If you want a laptop that feels future-proof, insanely fast, and reliable for both work and creativity, the MacBook Pro M5 is worth every penny. Apple really outdid themselves with this one.

I recently upgraded to the 14-inch MacBook Pro, and it has been an outstanding experience so far. I use my laptop mainly for software development, online courses, and some light photo/video editing. This machine handles everything without hesitation. The performance jump compared to my older laptop is huge — apps launch instantly, compiling code is much faster, and even when I have multiple tabs, terminals, and apps open, it stays responsive. The new M-series chip is incredibly efficient; I’m genuinely surprised by how cool and quiet the laptop stays even during heavier workloads. Battery life has also been excellent. I’m consistently getting long hours of use on a single charge, and fast-charging is a lifesaver when I’m in a hurry. The display is bright and color-accurate, perfect for content consumption and creative work. The speakers are some of the best I’ve heard on a laptop of this size. Overall, the build quality feels premium, the performance is top-tier, and the experience has been smooth from day one. If you’re someone who multitasks heavily or needs a reliable laptop for both work and learning, I highly recommend this MacBook Pro. Worth every dollar!

Apple really pushed performance to another level with this generation. The M5 chip feels incredibly fast in everyday use and even more impressive when handling demanding tasks. Multitasking is effortless — I can run multiple apps, edit high-resolution photos and videos, and keep dozens of browser tabs open without any slowdown. Everything feels instant and responsive. One of the biggest highlights is how well this laptop handles AI-powered workflows and creative applications. Tasks like video editing, rendering, and productivity work run noticeably smoother thanks to the improved CPU, GPU, and Neural Engine performance, which delivers significantly faster AI processing compared to previous models. Battery life is another standout feature. I easily get through a full day (and sometimes more) on a single charge, which makes it perfect for students, professionals, or anyone working on the go. Even unplugged, performance remains consistent — something many laptops still struggle with. The build quality is exactly what you expect from Apple: premium, solid, and durable. The display is stunning, colors are accurate, speakers sound amazing, and the keyboard and trackpad remain best-in-class. I also appreciate having useful ports like HDMI, SD card slot, and MagSafe charging without needing adapters. Overall, the MacBook Pro with M5 strikes the perfect balance between power, efficiency, and portability. Whether you’re a creator, developer, student, or business user, this machine feels future-proof and easily one of the best laptops available today. Highly recommended.

The 14-inch MacBook Pro equipped with Apple’s M5 chip represents a refined evolution of Apple Silicon, delivering an exceptional balance of performance, efficiency, and portability. With a 10-core CPU, 10-core GPU, 16GB of unified memory, and a 512GB SSD, this configuration is purpose-built for professionals who demand consistent, high-level performance in a compact form factor. Performance & Processing Power At the core of this system is Apple’s M5 chip, which continues to push the boundaries of ARM-based computing. The 10-core CPU provides outstanding single-threaded responsiveness alongside strong multi-core throughput, making it well-suited for development workloads, content creation, and multitasking. The 10-core GPU offers impressive graphical performance for its class, handling tasks such as video editing, 3D rendering, and GPU-accelerated workflows with ease. Compared to earlier Apple Silicon generations, improvements in efficiency and sustained performance allow this machine to maintain high output without thermal throttling. Memory & Storage The inclusion of 16GB of unified memory ensures fast data access across CPU and GPU workloads, minimizing bottlenecks and improving overall system responsiveness. For most professional users—including developers, photographers, and light video editors—this capacity strikes an excellent balance between performance and cost. The 512GB SSD delivers extremely fast read/write speeds, contributing to near-instant application launches and smooth file handling. While power users may eventually require external storage, the internal SSD is more than sufficient for active projects and daily workflows. Display & Visual Experience The 14.2-inch Liquid Retina XDR display remains one of the standout features of the MacBook Pro line. With exceptional brightness, contrast, and color accuracy, it is ideal for color-critical work such as photo editing and video production. The high refresh rate further enhances fluidity, making everyday interactions feel smooth and responsive. Thermal Efficiency & Battery Life One of the most impressive aspects of the M5 architecture is its efficiency. The system maintains excellent performance while consuming relatively low power, resulting in long battery life even under demanding workloads. Thermal management is also highly effective—the laptop stays quiet and cool during typical use, with fans rarely becoming intrusive. Build Quality & Design Apple’s Space Black finish gives the device a sleek, professional aesthetic, complemented by the robust aluminum chassis. The build quality is exceptional, with tight tolerances and a premium feel throughout. The keyboard, trackpad, and port selection (including Thunderbolt and HDMI) further reinforce its status as a professional-grade machine. Overall Verdict The 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M5 chip is a highly capable and well-rounded laptop that excels in performance-per-watt, display quality, and build craftsmanship. It is particularly well-suited for professionals who need reliable power in a portable package without stepping up to higher-tier (and higher-cost) configurations. Pros: Excellent CPU and GPU performance for its size Outstanding display quality Industry-leading efficiency and battery life Premium build and design Cons: 512GB storage may feel limiting for large media libraries 16GB RAM is sufficient but not future-proof for heavy workloads Final Rating: 9/10 — A top-tier professional laptop that delivers exceptional performance and efficiency in a compact form factor.

I bought this MacBook Pro for the power, and it hasn't disappointed. I can run multiple heavy apps without a single stutter. The M5 chip is incredibly efficient; the laptop stays cool even under load. The speed is incredible—everything opens instantly, and the battery life is unmatched. If you want the best of the best, this is it. Worth every penny! Best Buy's ordering process was smooth, and the laptop itself is flawless. 10/10.

I got this laptop mainly for my design work, but I also use it for video and photo editing—and it’s been an absolute powerhouse. It handles every app I throw at it without breaking a sweat. The M5 chip is insanely fast and whisper quiet I honestly never hear the fans spin up. And the fact that it delivers this level of performance on battery power is just wild. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for serious performance with incredible efficiency...

It runs much faster than I expected. Thanks to the new M5 processor, it handles multitasking and heavy applications effortlessly. The 14-inch size is ideal for portability. The battery easily lasts all day, and the silver color looks very sleek. It is a computer that definitely deserves its price and will last for many years

This is my first computer—I’ve always done everything on my phone—and the MacBook with the M5 chip made the jump easy. Setup was straightforward with my Apple ID, and my photos, messages, and notes showed up right away. Performance feels instant for everyday tasks (email, dozens of browser tabs, video calls, light photo/video edits), and the battery reliably lasts me a full day. The screen is sharp and bright, text looks crisp, and the speakers are surprisingly full for a thin laptop. The keyboard feels comfortable, and the large trackpad with gestures made navigation intuitive even for a newcomer. What I didn’t love: there’s a learning curve coming from a touch-only world, and I wish there were a couple more built-in ports. Also, some pro apps took me a bit to configure the first time. But overall, this MacBook made me more productive on day one and has been rock-solid and quiet.

The 2025 MacBook Pro M5 base model is insanely fast and smooth. Everything loads instantly, it runs cool, and the battery easily lasts all day. The screen is sharp, the build feels premium, and the performance jump is obvious the moment you turn it on. Buying it online from Best Buy was quick and hassle-free—easy checkout, fast shipping, and zero issues. Overall, a clean, smooth purchase and an even better machine.

I recently bought a MacBook from Best Buy, Marlboro location. With my needs I decided to go for MacBook Pro M5. I was initially worried about the screen size since my previous MacBook was 16". But it was an easy transition. I love my new MacBook Pro. It is light enough, display is sharp as you'd expect from Apple, much compact look, no noise, and works awesome! Very happy with my purchase.

I recently purchased the 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M5 chip, and I’m honestly very impressed with the overall experience. The performance is incredibly smooth — whether I’m running multiple applications, coding, or handling heavy workloads, everything feels fast and responsive without any lag. The display is one of the best parts of this laptop. Colors are vibrant, text is super sharp, and it’s very comfortable for long hours of work or watching content. The battery life is also excellent — I can easily get through a full day without needing to charge. Build quality is exactly what you’d expect from Apple — premium, solid, and durable. The keyboard feels great to type on, and the trackpad is extremely precise. The 16GB memory and 512GB SSD are perfect for my daily needs, offering both speed and enough storage. Overall, this MacBook Pro is a great investment if you want a powerful, reliable, and high-quality laptop. I’m very satisfied with my purchase and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for top-tier performance and design.

Looking at this laptop purely on its own merits, there's a lot to like. There are literally dozens of videos online you can seek out that discuss raw benchmark numbers so I won't get into that here, but in regular day-to-day usage, the M5 processor delivers a snappy, highly responsive experience. Things like opening applications and other single-threaded burst tasks feel quicker than even my Mac Mini with the M4 Pro chip. Battery life is also out of the world. Using it an hour or two a day for things like web surfing, office work, content consumption and a bit of gaming, I can go days without having to recharge. The keyboard feels nice to type on; Apple still has the best trackpads in the business; and the mini-LED screen is excellent for productivity (though not for gaming). Despite all the good things this MacBook Pro has to offer, there are some cracks in the facade. While still a good-looking laptop, the design is getting a bit long in the tooth, though there are rumors of a redesign coming in 2026 with the upcoming M5 Pro and Max chips. The keyboard might be good for typing, but the palm rest edges aren't beveled so they cut into my wrist, which makes it uncomfortable for extended sessions. The laptop is quiet for most of my usage, but if I push the system hard by loading up a game like Cyberpunk 2077, the fans spin up to a point where they might be too loud for some. At the end of the day, this leads me to wonder exactly who is the target audience for this laptop. Casual users should seek a MacBook Air. It's lighter, even more portable, and has excellent performance while being completely fan-less. Creatives and power users would be better served by spending a bit more and going with a MacBook that has a Pro-level chip. It will be faster in tasks like photo and video editing while being quieter thanks to its dual-fan cooling solution. Were the M5 MacBook Pro to exist in a vacuum, it's something I could easily recommend, but it doesn't so I would look at the aforementioned alternatives first before handing over your money on this one.

Runs amazingly, long battery life, sleek design. Couldn’t ask for a better laptop. The base option offers plenty for a casual user.

Purchased this laptop with the intentions of making it my everyday use, editing, and do it all laptop. Primarily to relieve my Mac Studio from minor task. Battery life is incredible, it has been fast enough for me, but sometimes I notice some weird delays that I have not expected to see on this new of a device, and honestly I was expecting more out of the M5 chip, BUT it has been able to keep up with my M1 Max, so I can’t complain much about it. My only regret Is not getting the new 1TB model, but besides that it has been a great laptop for on the go work flow.

Excellent equipment. Long-lasting battery. It doesn't heat, it's light compared to other equipment that promises the same performance.

Works great after a month. No over heating and battery lasts for a while. A lot of storage!
