I especially like the build quality, keyboard, trackpad, speakers, and overall attention to detail. Space Black looks even better in person and gives the MacBook a very clean, professional appearance. I considered several configurations before purchasing and am glad I chose 32GB of memory and the 1TB SSD. It gives me enough performance and storage to keep this MacBook for years rather than wishing later that I had purchased more. It is certainly a premium-priced laptop, but so far the performance, battery life, display, and overall quality have made it feel like a worthwhile investment. If you want a powerful MacBook Pro that is still easy to carry, this configuration hits a very nice sweet spot.

I bought this MacBook Pro with the M5 chip and 24GB of RAM because I wanted something I wouldn’t have to think about replacing anytime soon. The photo attached was taken while I was producing music out of an Airbnb. Looking at it, you’ll see a guitar, a MIDI keyboard, an interface, and a drum machine. But honestly, the funny thing is that all you really need is the MacBook. Logic Pro comes loaded with incredible instruments, synths, drums, pianos, and sounds right out of the box. Even if I didn’t have my MIDI keyboard with me, I could still use the MacBook’s keyboard to play and record instruments directly into Logic. It’s that capable. The M5 and 24GB of RAM absolutely fly through Logic Pro and Ableton sessions. I’ve loaded projects with tons of tracks, plugins, virtual instruments, and automation, and it never feels like it’s working hard. The keyboard itself is one of my favorite parts of the computer. It’s comfortable, fast, and perfect for writing lyrics, editing sessions, programming drums, and getting ideas down quickly. The built-in microphone is also much better than most people realize. I’ve captured vocal ideas and demos with it more than once, and it’s surprisingly usable. The battery life is ridiculous. I can spend hours producing without even thinking about bringing a charger. The display is gorgeous too, especially when you’re staring at arrangements and plugins all day. And the speakers are honestly incredible. They’re detailed enough that I can sketch out arrangements, build songs, and even make rough mixing decisions directly from the laptop. For a portable machine, they’re seriously impressive. One last thing: Best Buy always seems to have great deals. I bought mine during their Memorial Day sale, and the savings were so good that upgrading to 24GB of RAM felt almost free. I’ve been using this MacBook for a little over a week now, and it already feels like a huge upgrade in my daily life. Upgraded from a 2020 intel Macbook pro. Was on sidelines waiting for upgrade and needless to say this was well worth it. Meets everything for speed, my dev workloads, multi-tabs open, never overheats like the intel mac, never hear fans. For price to power ratio, I feel now is the best time to buy this machine! Apple has really been cooking with the M chips especially here with this M5. Display is beautiful, Love it!

The macbook M5 chip has massively improved my daily life for technology, not only has it improved my work status when using this laptop it has helped tremendously with storing Important Information. In my line of work I need a laptop to help keep my work saved in a timely manner, making zoom calls and organizing my spreadsheets has allowed coworkers of mine ask what laptop I use to keep everything so organized. I dont believe I would need an upgrade due to the fact that this laptop has to many features to count when working with my clients and my coworkers. When purchasing this laptop I mainly needed a laptop to help me with daily life, such as having enough storage to hold any information I might need for my meetings, not does the macbook M5 have incredible storage, it also comes with great battery life as well, The M5 never dies out even If I havent charged my laptop in two days. I Expecially enjoy the extra micro features concerning the upgraded apps like games or safari. Overall I would recommend this laptop to anyone who works in business or engineering fields.

After using my M1 for years I finally made the upgrade and it works flawlessly! I can have both Logic or Abelton Live and Premiere Pro running at the same time with no issue. The battery lasts forever and charging is pretty fast. If you are thinking about upgrading don’t hesitate and your editing will be less of a headache.

After 8 years with my old MacBook Pro, this M5 feels like a huge upgrade. Gorgeous screen (though it does get a bit smudge-y), the battery lasts all day, and it’s been super fast with lots of apps and tabs open. I mainly use it for browsing, streaming, graphic design, some music production – so the 24GB/1TB setup gives me plenty of space and power for all my needs. The base 16/512 model is probably enough for most people (I went back and forth on it for a while!), and professional video editors/programmers might need to bump up to the M5 Pro chip when it comes out, but this one feels comfortable for my use and it’s nice knowing it’ll keep up for years. *And for those who are thinking of getting an Air instead, consider if you need a fan, extra ports, and how long you typically like your machines to last!

The MacBook Pro M5 is a really nice laptop and very easy to use. It feels fast when opening apps, and it works well for school, watching videos, or editing photos. The screen is bright and clear, and the battery lasts a long time, so I don’t have to charge it a lot. It’s also light and looks clean and modern. One small problem is that the screen can get fingerprints if you touch it too much, so you need to wipe it sometimes.

I am pleased with the smooth design and speed of this laptop. It has not disappointed thus far. I would recommend getting a skin since it is a bit slippery to carry. It is running 3D rendering software with no problems.

This laptop is such a major upgrade from my 2021 Macbook Pro. I only wish I bought it sooner, as I'm basically working twice as fast. Super fast, stays cool. I couldn't be happier with it.

Works great. It’s very fast and there is no bloatware. Get an external drive for backups because iCloud is way too pricey.
