This device is really powerful, sleek, and simple. I’m a simple programmer who loves making things on Xcode, but my previous MacBook wasn’t that ideal. I purchased this one in hopes I would get a better experience, and oh did I. Coming from Windows (I’m still going to use it), most Apple related programming services weren’t available to download, and I also began to clutter my machine. I had more than enough storage to download my favorite apps, and with some iOS apps having compatibility on macOS, I had the full experience. It also is pretty smooth when it comes to 3D modeling! File system is unique (compared to Windows), and macOS Sonoma just makes things better! Any sound that goes through this thingy is beautiful, and my personal playlist just sounds much better than before! Battery life lasts much longer than I could have ever expected and it charges phones during outages without a single noticeable drop in battery life length. This MacBook was also very compatible with the Apple ecosystem, as I could copy things off my iPhone and paste onto the Mac (as long as they’re connected). Don’t even get me started on the call and FaceTime syncing! Really the only downsides to this Mac is: -It gets dusty quickly (You can just buy a case and it’ll be better) -I can’t unlock with Touch ID after a shut off (Minor inconvenience) -Some 3D models take up a lot of the system’s memory (This did get annoying but it was most likely because I didn’t know exactly what I was doing in my Blender model) Other than those three things, I love it! I’ve never really used an Apple laptop much outside of the school laptops we got as children, you know, the ones with million different restrictions so you never really learn how to use it? But anyway, with my recent studies gearing more towards Software Engineering, I’ve been seeing Macs a lot as a recommendation. So I pulled the trigger , said ahh heck it man, let’s give it a try. And yes, while I know it is a litttttttle pricey- I think it’s worth absolutely every penny! The OS software is different from windows for sure, but if you already know windows I feel like jumping into Mac is almost easier because of how simple it is to navigate your OS. The new powerful M3 chip, is POWERFUL— I’ve been having like 9 chrome tabs open, SQL running in the background, my terminal open, Visual Studio Code (VSC), as well as zoom and discord all at once. ONLY TAKES UP 8 GBR! To me that’s amazing, especially considering my gaming pc, while awesome for gaming of course, could not handle that type of work load for long periods at a time. And gaming pc’s and laptops are typically plugged in too which is crazy to me, where as the MacBook has such a long battery life it’s ridiculous— i charge it maybe once every 2 days after using it heavily , and if im doing just basic web surfing or checking the emails and go periods of time without heavy workload, the battery will literally be alive even if i havnt touched it in a week or two , just chilling above half battery life some how, i dont know what Wizardry this is, but it is legit.

After working in the Apple environment since my masters degree days (since 2007), I tried switching back to a PC. Although the PC I got was excellent (Lenovo Yoga Book 9i), it still did not compare to the quality I was used to with Apple products. Thankfully, I am a Best Buy Total member, which enabled me to return the PC within 60 days. I spent around $2,000 on the Lenovo 9i. If I weren't a Total member, the trade-in value for the PC would have been <$400 -- a potential loss of >$1600!!! I returned the 9i and gratefully resumed my relationship with Apple. I am glad I did. The MBP with the new M-series chips are screaming fast and enable me to run multiple high-capacity programs at once without crashing, like PowerPoint, Adobe Illustrator, Canva, and Figma. Plus, the trade-in values on Apple products will ALWAYS be strong, especially compared to Windows products. Additionally, I love the fully functional integrations of Apple products. It makes it convenient to work between my iMac, MBP, iPad, iPhone, and even my Apple Watch UItra.

Ever since I purchased my first MacBook Pro, I absolutely love this machine more than ever. The build quality is beyond top notch with it's all aluminum chassis in a gorgeous space black color that really stands out way more than any other color I've seen so far. Of course the supercharged performance of it's Apple M3 Pro Chip has so much capable power for all my basic needs and some head room for heavy applications in the near future with MacOS software updates. The display is bright, colorful and sharp at the same time with it's Liquid Retina Display with ProMotion for a silky smooth experience for web browsing. Keyboard and Trackpad is so satisfying to type on for long periods of time with it scissor switch key caps and LED illumination for working in darker environments. And the MacOS experience is so much better and more enjoying to be in because of it's feature packed OS with ton of uses to make productivity a breeze whether it's video editing or just normal use like web browsing, writing emails, etc.... Overall after a month of use I really love using this machine every single day and making good use of it's capability.

I ordered "Open Box - Excellent" for a discount. Arrived in nearly perfect condition, very happy with it! However, it arrived with the box not sealed closed, and with no bubble wrap or packing peanuts - so the apple box was absolutely destroyed :/. About the laptop itself - I couldn't be happier. Sure, it can't play most games. However, that's more than worth it to me. It plays Minecraft (my favorite game) with high render distance and 120 fps without even turning on the fans. Not to mention, the battery life is incredible. I can play for over 5 hours on battery (a gaming laptop couldn't last that long sitting idle!) and about 10 hours with web browsing. It feels incredibly well built, snappy, and the screen is gorgeous. HDR is beautiful, it charges fast, and touch id is convenient. It's definitely heavier than the Macbook Air or a chromebook, but no heavier than a gaming laptop or surface laptop. I truly feel like this laptop will last me longer than 4 years of college, and can't suggest it enough!
