When i purchase this mac, the girls say me is the latest model. But when I open and review the specificacions, it was corresponding to 2017 model.

I am a first time Mac user, having used PC's for most of my adult life. I was skeptical at first, but after just a day or so of you using this Mac, I felt at home. The OS system is smooth and makes worries over virus protection a thing of the past. I installed the software called Parallels on this so that I could still operate my Windows 10 environment and they both work well, making access to PC software as simple as opening an app. The Mac environment flows seamlessly with my iPad, iPhone and Apple Watch and has made me a true believer. The storage is great and it's awesome to be able to boot up fast without waiting for the hum of a normal drive. It's lightweight, durable and has become an amazing tool for work and rest. Love it!

Overall, I am blown away by the ecosystem, and the performance that comes with the 2018 Macbook Pro. The device itself is elegant and refined. There is some discussions ongoing about thermal throttling and keyboard issues that may arise due to dust or debris getting inside the membrane underneath each key. I have yet to experience any of these issues. I have given the MacBook Pro 4 stars instead of 5 due to the potential lingering problems that may pop up in the future. It does appear to be a legitimate concern for most users, and it certainly has been a common issue. I have monitored my CPU temperature while programming, compiling, doing design work, and while benchmarking. I have not seen my MacBook Pro thermal throttle, nor has my performance be substandard during any task. It appears to really only be an issue with the i9 machine while doing heavy 4k rendering and edits. If you are really worried about the keyboard issues purchase Apple Care + within 60 days of your purchase date so that you will be covered for an additional two years of warranty. If you are not too worried about having an issue then purchase your new MacBook Pro with a credit card that provides you with purchase protection. My Visa Signature card offers me an additional year of warranty coverage on my MacBook Pro for free. I would not hesitate to purchase this MacBook Pro again. My only regret was not being an Apple user before I made the purchase.

I had been shopping around for a while when this popped up on a 1-day sale to clear out the 2017 models. I did a ton of research into some of the complaints above the keyboard, as well as the benefits to the newer generation processors- if I'm going to spend $3,000 I might as well get the best and newest! I was a little bit weary to spend that much money on technology and hardware that were already out of date as this will need to last me for a long time (this was an upgrade from a 2009 model!). After talking with a very knowledgeable salesperson, she assured me that this was more than sufficient for almost anything I could ever want to do with it, and she was right! I run multiple graphic design programs at once, plus all my basic programs with no problems, and incredible battery life. The SSD is a lightning fast upgrade from my old hard drive, and the laptop runs cooler than expected. I always thought the touch bar was kind of a gimmick...until I actually used it. The way it offers different layouts and functions based in the program you are using is awesome, it simplifies tasks, speeds up productivity, and gives you a higher level if control in a simple interface. I couldn't be happier with this laptop, and am now thinking about upgrading my desktop as well!

Incredibly fast processing, beautiful graphics, great sound (especially for a laptop), and the touch bar is far more useful than I imagined it would be. I love the access speed of the 1TB smart drive. Everything just occurs on this computer. Fantastic purchase overall.

Got this as an upgrade from 2012 iMac mini. The speed and power on this machine are amazing. Glad I got this. Touch Bar takes some use to getting to, but it is helpful for apps as pixelmator and Final Cut Pro.

Bought this laptop to replace my 2011 15” MacBook Pro that I’ve upgraded to 1TB SSD and 16GB RAM with processor i7 2GHz. Speed wise is pretty similar, keyboard is better and definitely overshadows that ridiculous “zero-travel” buttons keyboard of the 2016 model. Screen is also better. Battery is a bit of a key down: around 4hr with active photo editing software. The new USB-c ports are a joke and a pain in the neck. What a silly decision by Apple...

Just loved the touch bar and the slim design. Wanted an apple macbook from a long time and this was the best deal with 1TB disk space.

I gave this to my brother who is going into med school and he really likes it. It makes work a lot easier, and he doesn't have to always worry about viruses. The 1TB in this model also lets him not have to worry about space. The computer is also very fast, sometimes I edit pictures on it, and it really works out nicely. I haven't tested out making/editing videos, but I would imagine it will be very nice. Only down is this computer is a bit pricey.

Bought this computer to replace my old MacBook 13". I was skeptical at first to get a bigger screen, but the 15" impressed me with the graphics and image is so much clear, compared to my old Mac. I also like to the Touch Bar. Makes it easier to operate and navigate. This PC is fast and has plenty of memory. Highly recommended !

I do everything from media consumption to program compiling, web design, and video editing. I have never had an issue with thermal throttling or keyboard malfunctions, but I understand that not all laptops are made the same. All I can say is, my personal experience with this device has been epic.

I had a 2011 laptop. And it was time to upgrade! This is the perfect laptop for fast ease of use when working with graphics and video. Also much lighter in weight. Overall Color is a little on the yellow side compare to my previous laptop. I do miss the USB ports. Very happy with this laptop.

I owned a macbook pro previously and it was time to replace it. This one is a great computer hands down. Very fast, thin and light weight. I am happy to have made the choice to stick with the macbook pro instead of going for a cheaper windows laptop.

I haven't had a chance to use it much, as of yet. I am in the process of loading on my software that I own and use. I love the fact that it has a 1Tb hard drive. I hated having to always remove things from my last apple computer because of small hard drive. My last new apple computer did not have a cd rom drive, apple removed them. I had to buy an external superdrive. The superdrive had a USB 3.0. The Mac I just bought no longer has a USB 3.0 port. It now has Type-C. Now I had to purchase an adaptor for that, and for the CF and SD card reader. The new mac also does not have an SD card reader. Now, not only do you have to carry the computer, but also all the adaptors. If you forget your adaptor at home and need it, you are out of luck. Yah! One more thing to carry. I wish apple would at least have a program where you can, for example, trade in the old USB 3.0 superdrive for one with the type-C, especially because you pay so much for the computer. I do however love what I have seen thus far with this new computer. It is much faster than my previous mac and thew hard drive is huge. I only gave 4 stars because I had to rebuy new products with the type-c connection.

I had a 15" MacBook Pro that I purchased new in 2010 and thought it was a great time for an upgrade. This one is lightning fast...and the Touch Bar is amazing. Glad I did! Apple products are so dependable and last a long time.

Words can’t describe how well this computer functions. Coming from a 2015 MacBook it’s 100% better. Battery will drain slowly when powered off and it’s all USB C.

Amazing power packed in this one. The new Touch Bar is a convenient addition to the keyboard. I also love the addition of space grey as an option for color.

Talking about a machine with some serious power. Downside all USB type C ports. You’ll need adapters or switch cords out from older generation machine.
