Upgraded from a 2019 Intel MacBook Pro, and this is not an upgrade… it’s a time jump. My old machine had been solid for years. Did everything I needed, never really let me down, but you could feel it working for a living. Fans spinning up, battery anxiety creeping in, and that occasional “give me a second” when juggling heavier apps. This new MacBook Pro? It just doesn’t have those moments. Everything is instant. Apps launch immediately, switching between them is seamless, and even when I’m running a stack of productivity tools alongside creative work, it never feels under pressure. What used to be small interruptions are just gone, and that adds up massively over a full day. Battery life is a quiet game changer. I’ve gone from planning my day around a charger to barely thinking about it. I can work a full day and still have juice left. That alone changes how portable this thing actually feels. And the silence. No fan noise in normal use is something I didn’t expect to care about, but it’s brilliant. It just gets on with it, no drama. The display is excellent. Bright, sharp, and genuinely enjoyable to look at whether I’m working or watching something. Going back to my old screen now feels like stepping backwards. Build quality is exactly what you’d expect. Solid, premium, and everything feels dialed in. Keyboard is comfortable, trackpad is still best in class, and the whole thing just feels… finished. What surprised me most is the overall flow. It’s not just faster, it removes friction from everything I do. Less waiting, less thinking about performance, more just getting on with work. If you’re on an older Intel MacBook and wondering if it’s worth it, this is a yes. Not a marginal gain. A proper leap forward.

I went from a MacBook Air M2 to this. So the change is simply spectacular. My motivation was to understand and scale my knowledge on agentic architecture, as my old Mac was easily collapsed by my dummy experiments. This was an open box purchase and the package was neat, for me it was completely brand new, so the open box experience was perfect, can’t complain about anything, it totally worth the couple of extra bucks saved. P.S: My old MacBook Air was also open box and it is still there, I even dropped a small glass of water over the keyboard, and magically it has survived through years without glitches.

This machine is a beast….. I am a software developer and I am loving this 2026 16” MacBook Pro M5 PRO. Honestly I was nervous about making the purchase as it is a lot of money, but after I start using it I am amazed of its features. And I got a really great customer service from Best Buy, they took the take to help me make the right decision and the process was very smooth. If you are a designer, software developer, game developer or do any type of job that need s lot of power, the 16” MacBook Pro M5 Pro is the beast..!!!

I needed a replacement for my aging IMac Pro. Something that would not break the bank but provided a quantum performance shift and a CPU/GPU combination ready for my photography and AI endeavors. I did a ton a research against all Apple products that met my basic criteria. I settled on the Pro chip with 18 cores and 20 GPU cores. I needed at least 32gb or above so I choose 48gb. I have had a lot of gear over the 35 plus years I spent in IT before I retired and this laptop is a beast. I have thrown a ton of my normal apps ad some new AI integrations with Gemini and have not looked back. Apple knocked it out of the park with these laptops. I cannot imagine what the future will bring.

I almost bought an M4 Pro before these deals came up. Then, I managed to score an M5 Pro on an open box deal and still managed to get AppleCare on it. I’m usually cautious about buying used items, especially laptops. However, since they had only been out for less than a month, there was no way I was going to miss out on this deal. My last MacBook Pro with an Intel i7 lasted me six years. Let’s see how much value I get from this one.

The best laptop I have ever owned. I had a Microsoft Surface Pro. It was good to me for over 5 years. It was time for an apple product. I am enjoying it so far.

The M5 Pro with 24GB is plenty for my workflow. Fast, silent under load, and the battery easily gets me through a full day. Snappy performance, gorgeous display, and excellent build quality. The 24GB M5 Pro hits a great balance of power and price. Big jump from my older Mac. The M5 Pro handles heavy multitasking without breaking a sweat , and the battery life is fantastic.

I've never owned an apple computer and haven't used a Mac since it was called "Macintosh." Apple lost me when they bricked my iPhone 2 with a system update. I switched to Android on the same day, and never considered owning an Apple product again. But I got sick of using Windows laptops that get hot when you use them, have loud fans that run constantly, and have the battery life of an electric chainsaw. I was optimistic about the announcement of the new Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme chips, but the manufacturers have taken too long to bring their products to market and I couldn't wait any longer to replace my aging Microsoft Surface Pro (I was truly all in on Windows and Microsoft). After a bit of research I decided to take a chance on this MacBook Pro. Yeah - it can run Windows if I need it, better than my Surface ever did. But I discovered that I don't need Windows and I haven't used it since I installed it. Heavy AI and data processing workloads are not so heavy on this laptop. It never gets hot, I have never heard any fan noise from it, and the battery lasts all day, every day if I need to be unplugged. I can't say enough good things about this computer. It does everything I wanted. The trackpad capabilities are amazing compared to my prior Windows laptop experience. Apple OS seems quirky at first coming over from a Windows environment, but once you get used to the differences, it is no big deal. Yeah - you scroll in the opposite direction. The important buttons are in the upper left corner, not the right (I have no idea what yellow does . . .), and windows and file management are both different, but not worse. Just different. File Finder is actually much faster and better at locating files on my laptop and external drives. As far as windows management goes, I find that I have far more windows open at once on this Mac because there is no end to its performance. Apple converted me only because they have a far superior product to anything else on the market.

I’ve been using the 16-inch MacBook Pro with the M5 Pro chip for a few weeks now, and it’s easily one of the most powerful laptops I’ve ever owned. Performance is outstanding — the 18-core CPU and 20-core GPU handle everything from heavy multitasking to video editing and demanding apps without slowing down. The 48GB of memory makes a huge difference when running multiple pro apps at once. The display is stunning as expected, with incredible brightness and color accuracy, and the Space Black finish looks premium and clean. Battery life is also impressive for a machine this powerful — I can get through a full workday without worrying about charging. Thermals and fan noise are well managed, even under load. Everything feels fast, smooth, and reliable. The only downside is the price, but if you need top-tier performance, it’s absolutely worth it. Overall, highly recommended for professionals or anyone who wants the best MacBook experience available right now.

Battery lasts a day and a half. Extremely quiet, not much heat. Fans almost never come on and are quiet. Crystal clear display

This is easily the most powerful laptop I’ve ever owned. The M5 Pro chip is blistering fast, and the 16-inch Liquid Retina XDR display is stunning for long coding sessions. The Space Black finish is sleek and resists fingerprints much better than expected. Battery life continues to defy logic given the performance level. Highly recommended for power users.

I got this to do creative work and general office tasks. I edit 6k video and make 3D renders in blender. This thing had proved more powerful than my custom pc rig with 3080ti. Literal Desktop performance in a laptop, and unlike other “gaming” ones, it doesn’t need to be plugged in for that power. the battery lasts all day btw, even on heavy load). Apple silicon is so ahead of anything else out, and this will last for may years. If you’re on the fence, its worh it.
