Q: Is this a 7th generation MacBook Pro?
A: This is Late 2016 model. Not with the latest Kabylake processor. According to BB and their website. Even though it says Latest Model, it was last years latest model. This years model is $1799. SKU for this years model is 5721601
A: It costs less because it is the 2016 model and not the 2017 one. It is still a brand new computer, and the only difference with the current model is the processor which is just slightly slower and less power efficient. In practice, it would be really difficult to notice the difference, so save your money if you don't mind this detail.
