I had wanted one of these for a long time but always held off because of the price. The thing that bugged me, of all the silly things to be annoyed by, was the fact that there wasn’t a distinct design for the iPad Air – we were meant to buy the one for the iPad Pro, which left a large square hole for the camera plateau which doesn’t exist. I was happy to see that a newer version had been released for the M3 which, from everything I can see, is the same as the M2 like mine. It fits great, attaches strongly, and generally has a very good typing feel. Much better than the Keyboard Folio I had considered. However, there is still one quirk which I only recently noticed… Apple’s odd choice of key sizes (see photo). And of course, there will be complaints about the lack of a backlight for said keyboard, but I think that’s an acceptable omission for a keyboard powered by the iPad itself. I am noticing a slightly higher battery draw using the keyboard, but I think it’s worth the effort if you’re looking for a touchscreen on a netbook-like experience. In fact, the spacing feels very much like my old HP Mini 210. There are a few glitches here and there, probably related more with web apps than dedicated iOS apps (you may notice the inability to backspace from time to time, or an annoying auto-capitalization glitch that I’ve noticed on iOS 26 early on, especially while typing in Safari or Chrome) but overall, for an ultra-compact laptop experience it’s much handier to whip this out than even my 13” Macbook Air. Trackpad, aside from the size, is just as responsive as any Apple trackpad you’ll find. Just beware, the price puts it out of reach for most casual users, especially if you’re in the iPad Air price-point budget. This was more of a necessity for me than a desire, though, so I’m convincing myself that it was worth what I paid. And that isn’t really hard to do once you get going with it.

So I have like the versatility and the power of the the iPad Air. To me there is not a whole lot of difference between the Air and the Pro. I realize that the cameras are different and the the processors are also different but the Air has been everything and more that I have needed. Whether I am working or playing.

The keys feel smooth and comfortable for typing. It makes my iPad feel like a mini laptop. The design matches perfectly with the iPad. It’s lightweight, easy to carry around, and perfect for studying, working, or watching videos.

Protects and works seamlessly with the iPad Air. The keyboard has a good feel for typing. Mouse is responsive. A direct connection (no Bluetooth required) is a plus, eliminating the need to charge.

This was purchased to support writing and exploring while traveling. My PC laptop had grown too heavy to carry around. This device gave me all the tools needed to write blogs, review emails, create and more. The image shows the size difference.

Keeps the iPad well protected. Keyboard is easy to use and solidly constructed. As far as I'm concerned, it's a necessary item on something so portable. It's my "go to" item when traveling and well worth it!

This keyboard completely changed how I use my iPad. The typing experience feels very close to a laptop, with responsive keys and a solid, premium feel. The trackpad is smooth and accurate, which makes navigating much easier. I also like how sturdy it feels when attached — it doesn’t feel flimsy at all. It’s definitely pricey, but the build quality and functionality make it worth it if you use your iPad often. The only downside is that’s white, but it’s super easy to clean.

Got this open-box and it honestly feels brand new. I use it daily for work, and both the iPad and keyboard perform perfectly with no issues. Smooth, reliable, and the battery holds up well. Great value for the price—definitely recommend.

The Apple Magic Keyboard I purchased from Best Buy has far exceeded my expectations. From the secure magnetic fit and clasp to the tilting mechanism of the keyboard. My favorite part though is the response when typing and using mouse pad. Very responsive and accurate.

So glad I got the Apple and not a different brand. The only drawback is that it doesn’t have a lighted keyboard, but it’s not a dealbreaker. If you’re someone like me who uses it at night with the lights low, you can tilt the screen a little to get light if you need to.

I picked this up for my iPad Air M3 and it really changes how I use the device. The typing experience is surprisingly good—the keys have great travel and the backlighting is a lifesaver when I'm working at night. I love the floating cantilever design; it's very sturdy and the magnetic attachment is strong, so I never feel like the iPad is going to slip off. When I purchased my ipad air I was told that the logic case would work well with my ipad air so I purchased that. Big mistake because that keyboard didn't function well with my ipad. I purchase this Magic Keyboard and it's worked perfectly for over 2 weeks now.

For an affordable price range, the new magic keyboard helps a lot with my basic ipad use specially with the new iPad OS. I feel like I can use my ipad now with the keyboard than my laptop.
