I've had cheap knockoffs of this product before, but nothing beats the original. however, at the original price, almost unthinkable, I bought it at a significant discount from an online best buy clearance sale. The only physical issue i have, is that the threads at the edge of the cover seam to be fraying, though i feel a little trip to the barber (A careful go at it with a pair of scissors) can fix that. All in all, if you want the original Apple cover for you iPad, (and you find it for cheap) i recommend.

I miss the old model, this one isn’t as thick as I recall it being. A bit pricey since it’s only screen protection.

It’s an Apple product so it’s simply the best. It works perfectly with my iPad. Close the case and the screen shuts down.

I like the Apple branded Smart Covers over any of the 3rd party options I have tried. It's a clean, minimalist design that covers just the front of the iPad allowing it to remain super slim. The folding cover works well as a stand, and it has a microfiber lining to protect the screen. Attaches with strong magnets and stays in place. Highly recommended!

My favorite case for an iPad. Not too heavy, perfect stand when you need one, stylish, and simplistic. One draw back is not having the back of your iPad covered when the screen is covered.

I usually like to replace my cases after a while and I didn't trust myself using just this on my iPad. Surprisingly, I haven't dropped it and the case feels great. It has some microfiber on the inside of the cover to protect the screen from scratches. Overtime this one has not warped or stretched overtime. The only complain I have is it doesn't work well for folding into a stand.

Fits Ipad nicely and protects it when not in use. Doubles as a stand propping up the Ipad.

I have had my IPad Pro 10.5 for years now, tried a few third party cases, some had some nifty features like a pencil holder, or dedicated kickstand, but I always wanted something thinner, and lighter. I almost bought an IPad mini 6 (still might) then I realized that the thinnest, and lightest case with a kickstand, is this official Apple one. There is no need to protect the aluminum back (for me) and I rarely use the apple pencil so no need to increase the size footprint, and weight for something I dont use very often. this was the perfect accessory for me, I hate I waited so long to get it. Things to note, I went with an open box one, and it was litteraly like new... maybe someone looked at it? either way it was HALF the price of a new one and I really couldnt tell it wasnt new.

It works well as a cover. Wish they offered a cover that also protected the back. Stays on relatively well and offers the ability to lean it back, send it up, or fold flat.

Smartcover works perfectly and my ipad pro is now much lighter and more beautiful as I can now see the gold color!

I bought this to go on my new i-Pad Air. I didn't realize (but probably should have) that it covers only the viewing side of the i-Pad; the backside is left unprotected. This, I gather, helps keep the weight down (as desired), but if you're touchy about wanting never to risk scratches on the backside, you probably should get another type of cover. For example, I have an Apple-made leather cover on my old iPad that does cover both front and back and is relatively thin and light. All that said, this cover is clever; it clicks to the iPad without effort but is easily removed if desired. I'm keeping it.

This is a great cover for someone who doesn't want a full heavy case but still wants to protect their screen. I have had 3 iPads over the years and I've purchased Apple SmartCovers for all of them. I do think that the leather ones are a bit sturdier but this still gets the job done. I love that you have 2 options for standing/leaning and can easily pop it off to clean the screen. Do wish these were slightly cheaper.

Great cover fits perfectly easy to use. Looks great.

Perfect fit, lightweight and protects my iPad. Tried non-Apple brands to save a few dollars and they did not last or fit well.

Magnetic strip gives way. caused multiple drops, one cracked it! The easel position doesn’t hold like my old one. Have to be very careful to keep it in place.
