I purchased the Apple Studio Display from Best Buy about a year ago, and overall, I’ve been really impressed with the experience. The display quality is honestly the standout feature the high resolution makes everything look incredibly sharp, whether I’m working on documents, browsing, or editing photos. Colors are vibrant and accurate, and text is noticeably clearer compared to other monitors I’ve used. The build quality also feels premium, which is exactly what you’d expect from Apple. It fits perfectly into my workspace and pairs seamlessly with my MacBook. Setup was quick and easy, just plug in one cable and everything works instantly. One thing that surprised me was the sound quality. The built-in speakers are much better than typical monitor speakers, and I don’t feel the need to use external ones for everyday use. The camera is also a nice bonus for video calls. That said, the price is definitely on the higher side, and I do wish it included more adjustability without having to pay extra. Also, a higher refresh rate would have made it feel more future-proof. Overall, despite a few drawbacks, I’m very happy with the purchase. If you’re deep in the Apple ecosystem and want a high-quality, clean setup, this display is a great choice.

The Apple Studio Display is everything I’ve ever wanted in a monitor — sleek, powerful, and incredibly well-integrated with my Mac setup. After seeing it in store, the design and the beautiful screen stood out to me. The speakers sounds awesome. I was really surprised. I was online looking at many reviews for different monitors. I had made up my mind right until I saw this monitor up close and personal. Yes it's definitely pricey but the solid build quality and the design along with a beautiful screen, I decided to treat myself. It's not oled so the screen is not super black but it's very sharp and dark enough for me.

By far the best display I've owned. I've now had it for a few weeks and the resolution is so crisp and the definition is hands down the best there is. Yes, it is on the higher end, pricewise, but it is definitely worth it! It's a great size too, I was using the Samsung M8 and although it was great, it had a matte display that really didn't show colors correctly, The Studio Display is perfect for editing graphics, videos, and the sound is so much more than I expected. It's also great for when I'm going through multiple reports and spreadsheets. I don't see myself owning any other kind of display now.

When I could no longer get the latest ISO and Adobe updates to Lightroom and Photoshop for my iMac, I decided to purchase a Mac Mini 2. I was hoping that I would be able to use my iMac as the monitor, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case. I even thought about opening my iMac and see if I could adapt it to work with the Mac Mini, but the more I researched it the less promising it looked. Then, I started researching for a new monitor. There is only one alternative 5K monitor out there to the Apple Studio Display. Both are well over $1,200, so then I started looking at 4K monitors. There are some nice 4K monitors, but the more research I did the more issues I found with all the other monitors, such as build quality, and just plain working correctly with a Mac. Other monitors didn't have anything close to the speakers or color capabilities that the Studio Display has. The deciding factor came when through my research I learned with other monitors, including the other 5K, you have to calibrate the colors and make other display adjustments so it works with the Mac. Not so with the Studio Display. You just plug it in and it works. And, if you have ever seen a 5K display, you know you can't go back to a lower resolution. After all my research, I decided that the Studio Display was the only way to go. I wish Apple would make a monitor that just has the 5K display without the speakers and camera, but unfortunately, they don't. So, if you want a monitor that works flawlessly with your Mac or Mac Mini and that has an awesome 5K display, then stop your researching and get this monitor

This is a very pleasing Monitor. I love the look on my desk and it’s very big, very convenient with homework to open many tabs, easy and ready to connect. Great glass screen and aesthetically pleasing. Although I’m rating a 4 star because for the price I expected it to work great all the time, but unfortunately speakers sometimes don’t work and you need to reconnect it to the outlet to make it work. It’s crazy paying almost 2k for speakers not to work at times :( other than that great monitor to have. But just consider the speaker situation definitely get apple care for this reason.

This display is beautiful both in design and functionality! It is spendy but the display quality is excellent. It pairs up great with an M4 Pro MacBook Pro. I would highly recommend if you have the budget to afford it. My open box model is in excellent condition. Very happy with the purchase!

Compared to other monitors in this class - this is the clear winner. The build quality is incredible and the colors look great! Everything you've come to expect from an Apple LED display. The only complaint I have is the webcam. Its...umm...trash. They just released a software update that improved a couple of bugs, but it's still terrible. If you use this for work/client calls, you're going to probably want to get an external webcam. You *might* get away with using the built-in one if you have really great lighting. Definitely happy with it. Like the old Apple Thunderbolt Displays, the Studio Display is going to last a while and be able to keep up as new displays hit the market. If you have an Apple Product (Mac, Ipad or iPhone) and need a monitor. This is it! I've tried other 4K+ monitors and they don't come close to the real deal. Note there is only a Thunderbolt connection for video (no HDMI) so if you have another device with HDMI only connection and no thunderbolt then this might not be the monitor for you. But if you do and screen clarity matters then this is the monitor for you. It's like your Mac, iPad or iPhone screen but bigger. Crisp, color accurate picture no blurry pixels. in fact I can read the very very small print if its on the screen with perfect clarity.

Purchased the Apple Studio Display 5K 27 inch. Superior quality and finish that adds a solid presence. Color range and sharpness is captivating, sharp and true to life. I really like the single Thunderbolt cable to drive the Studio Display. So clean and keeps the desk area much cleaner and refined as well. One last thing - The six speakers are OUTSTANDING! Love to watch my movies and Apple TV shows and this is just a bonus overall. Great decision to take the leap and invest in this hardware. Should have done it much sooner. No Regrets.

When it was time to replace my 27-inch iMac I got a Mac Studio and a 27-inch Studio Display. I’ve used Apple products since 1985. My 33-year career as a freelance book designer/layout artist would not exist without Apple computers and monitors. My second monitor with a couple of iMacs over the years was a 23-inch Apple Cinema Display. It was a workhorse, with me for the design and layout of nearly 100 books. When it finally dies after about 25 years (!!), it was a no-brainer to get a second 27-inch Studio monitor. Just the best.

I LOVE this monitor. It is bright and beautiful plus it is very functional. The built in speaker and camera work great for video calls, which I do a lot of. Just wish it wasn't quite so expensive (I would buy another one if BB/Apple would drop the price)!

This is the best gift I have ever gotten from my self. I been winning this monitor a lot, colors are great the quality is super sharp specially when editing.

I replaced my BenQ monitor with this Apple Studio Display, and I do not regret it. I initially balked at the price, but this thing is totally worth it. It seamlessly integrates with Mac Studio, as you would expect. It has excellent color and sound. Just plug it in, and it's ready to go. Despite what some other reviewers have posted, I think the webcam is very good.
