Bought the 3-year AppleCare+ with the new MacBook Air and I’m glad I did. The standard warranty is only a year and doesn’t cover drops, spills, or cracked screens. AppleCare+ does, with a low deductible, plus hardware coverage and battery service if capacity drops too far. Setup was simple through Best Buy / Apple, and having three years instead of two makes more sense on a machine this expensive. I haven’t needed a claim yet, but knowing I can walk into an Apple Store or authorized shop without arguing about “accidental” vs “defect” is the whole point. For a thin laptop that travels, this is the coverage I’d buy again.

I had AppleCare+ on a MacBook Pro for two years. Personal circumstances (merging houses with an elderly parent and becoming caregiver) distracted me from renewing the protection. As things turned out, it was a disastrous oversight. My MacBook Pro's logic board died when the device was just over 2.5 years old. I decided with my replacement (MacBook Air) to do 3 years and then I'll be sure to decide in time on whether to renew the protection when the 3 years is close to ending.

AppleCare+ for MacBook has been absolutely worth it. The coverage provides great peace of mind, especially when traveling or using the laptop every day. The support from Apple is fast, professional, and very helpful whenever assistance is needed. Knowing that accidental damage is covered makes owning a MacBook much less stressful. The service process is smooth, and Apple’s technicians are knowledgeable and efficient. I can't say enough about the Apple support team. They take your call, you are never rushed. They do not hang up until they've answered all questions. Support team pleasant to work with. I highly recommend. I was transitioning from windows to macbook. I have made many calls being a new user.

Insurance is always a good thing. Just in case if anything ever happens.
