I tried a lot of different sensor before, this is the first matter over thread, works fast, locally, you dint need any hub. I wish they made a recessed version

[Employee of bestbuy] I cannot say to how well the product works, it looks amazing!! I some how overlooked the fact you need an M3 Hub for this to work. When I read Matter Border Router I Just assumed Apple TV 4K 3rd gen 128gb, a few minis, HomePod 2nd, and Aqara G3 camera. Sadly they do not and will be returned. Would have loved to use these. Going for the older model

This does what it says and has been very reliable. I have no issues whatsoever. I would recommend to anyone looking for a door sensor.

This review is on the Aqara P2 Door/Window sensor. The Aqara has enabled me to get alerts if our front load washer door is closed for 2 hours. Goal is to prevent mold and odor growth from accidentally forgetting a wash load downstairs. My smart home setup is simple, Alexa Echo (matter enabled) and this device. When the door closes it starts a 2 hour "door" timer and when it's opened the timer is cancelled. Works like a charm! Thank you Aquara for a straight forward matter enabled solution!

Works much better than zigged version, able to add directly to HomeKit and then pair with Home Assistant for additional automations.
