Hands down the best home theater 7.2.4/ 2.0 stereo. This arcam integrated amp is a power house. It makes my bowers 800 series sing. I definitely recommend this item.

This is an excellent sounding receiver... definitely an upgrade from my Marantz 6015, which is good in it's own right. There are a few features that are not as user friendly as my Marantz, but overall not deal breakers. Arcam is pricey, but I purchased on sale (20% off) and I think it's a really solid value for what you get. One recommendation I would add is to NOT update the firmware unless you absolutely need to. My initial unit was glitchy (perhaps from an immediate firmware update) so I exchanged it and started fresh. For some reason a factory reset doesn't roll back certain firmware. I would also recommend bi-amping the main speakers. The settings easily allow you to toggle between bi-amping and standard, and the former sounds so much better. I'm definitely a believer in bi-amping now and my Bowers & Wilkins speakers sound very impressive.

Open box.. great receiver but need to be a tweaker as the setup requires knowledge of audio encoding and speaker setup and placement. Dirac Live worked great but also requires some YouTubing to get it done. Happy with purchase, great sound from music tracks. Has enough power to drive inefficient speakers.

This unit just knocks the socks off of Denon, Marantz ,Onkyo. Arcam went through growing pains when these units were released. The software literally wasn’t done yet lol. Well its done now and works flawlessy. I ran everything through this unit not through arc and there are no problems at all. Video looks amazing and the sound is just out of this world. I’ve never heard an Avr sound this great ever. Arcam rates this units power 90 watts per channel all channels driven in 8ohms. That’s very important and a very conservative number. Most rate 2 channels driven so the rest are a mystery. I previously had an Onkyo Denon Marantz they were 140 watts per channel two channel driven 8ohms. Arcam just sounds better by a long shot in my opinion. It controls the speakers so much better with every aspect. Sounded like i bought new speakers. The sound is very grounded yet airy and three dimensional. Very multilayered. Voices are very clear and full.Great for home theater and also great for music like your listening to separates. I loved it so much i returned it lol. Then went and bought Arcam separates and never looked back. So be careful once you buy one of these the audiophile bug could get ya. The speakers i used with the Arcam avr21 were the Focal chora series home theater speakers.

I upgraded my Onkyo TX-NR696 AVR to this Arcam AVR and I immediately felt the difference in the quality of the sound with music and movies. Instrument and details surfaced and when Atmos kicked in it was way better in my surround speakers. I am very pleased so far and I can’t wait to have the room correction done to further enjoy the experience.

Best receiver I have ever owned. Music and movies are so clear with hi definition sound that you can feel. It’s jaw dropping every time I turn it on.

Excellent sound. Quite an improvement from the Denon I replaced. Setup is done via the receiver but is easy.

Worst buying experience I've ever had from Best Buy or anyone else. Very high end AV receiver badly handled during shipping from store to store, non-double boxed was first mistake. Carton looked like it was thrown off the truck. Item was falling out upon receipt and didn't function correctly. They issued a refund, but refused to replace at the same sale price I paid, they wanted $1300 more, forget it. Throughly disgusted with them trying to rip me off!
