ARK really advanced the survival video game genre. Stuff like being able to build and live on a raft fairly early on are one of the many fun features. However players have squatted all the starting areas on every server by claiming land by building pillars and literally walling off the rest of the virtual world from new players. It takes about 4-5 new charter creations on different servers to find a sever with a tiny slice of buildable land when just starting out. Lost is the feeling of waking up on a new world, more like waking up on the shores of an island overdeveloped by player condos. Conan Exiles, bugs and all, still retains that feel of being alone in the wild for the most part, by comparison to ARK.

I like how in-depth this game gets. I saw it through Neebs Gaming and knew what I was going to be up against when I purchased it. However, for the Xbox one version it is extremely glitchy and some of the textures do not load. I still enjoy playing it, but there needs to be an update or patch that can fix glitches that happen.

I've been searching for this game at a sale price for a month. My son wants it for Christmas. No other store had it cheaper than Best Buy.

Games fun and addictive but on official servers it's much better. There are Alpha tribe servers that on weekends swapto pvp and destroy pve players work in a troll move so only play pve servers if you want to win. I host on my 2nd Xbox for friends and family. Game can go quickly once you get a decent server. Nothing like having Dino to make harvest easier. Always be on the lookout for inactive players to loot thier Base and claim their Dino. My kiddos love Dinosaurs as well and loves it.

Great game open world survival is unbelievable hrs of fun

My kids LOVE ARK: Survival Evolved for the Xbox One. You go back in time and try to train prehistoric creatures and build a town/civilization. I bought this as a gift when it cam out in October and there aren't any glitches or problems whatsoever. Great graphics and looks like never ending gameplay.

It's like Minecraft but more dangerous and exciting. You get to tame dinosaurs, build and craft to survive. You can play solo or with friends. Recommended to open world survival game fans.

You're dropped onto an island inhabited by dinosaurs with little understanding as to what you're supposed to be doing, what's the worst that could happen? Incredibly fun game with lots of dinosaurs who roam freely but tend to get "stuck" in one area which can be detrimental. Not exactly a fast paced action game. It's good for people who want to get lost in a game for hours and hours on end and base build as well as build up their characters. It's like play FarCry Primal but even slower paced. Save your money and wait for a sale, though.

Bought this as a Christmas gift for my son so he hasn't played it yet. Nephew has it and my son insists on playing it every time we go to his house.

Very fun game once you get the hang of it. Snakes in the game are the worse but love all the animals and being able to build a house with the wife

Ark: survival evolved is a very good game and it has good quality. one thing I really liked the dinosaurs because they were aggressive but also fun to tame. I give it 4 stars because I didn't like that I had to get so much food to eat. Another thing I liked was that you could find dinosaurs with tek.

Start with nothing, gather and learn how tyo build things you need to survive. You will definitely need to put some time in.

The maps on this game are enormous. I have played this game for a long time and my wife loves it also. You can pretty much build anything you can think of. Highly recommend this game.

I bought this game for my son and he absolutely loves it. It had Great graphics, a very cool concept and is very rewarding because you have to earn everything you get. Great game!

My children were begging me for this game since playing at a friend's house. They love it and haven't found a reason to play any other games since getting this one.

The game is addictive and fun. Sometimes it can be a little glitchy. The menu is hard to read because the font is so small, especially if playing split screen. But those are just minor things. I love to play this game! It's definetly a good buy with hours and hours of enjoyment.

Got a last minute call that my niece wanted this. Not only did Best Buy have but on sale and a gift with purchase. The game is cool. She loves dinosaurs.
