Q: Does this product record movement without ringing the door bell?
A: The door bell is a motion sensor that is synced up with one of your existing cameras. When it detects motion, the synched camera starts to record. Door bell does not need to be pushed for that to happen.
Q: Is this only door bell and need to buy a Arlo can separately or Cam included ?
A: No camera is included. If you already have an arlo system.. the camera syncs up nicely. If you don’t, the doorbell will not tie in to a video feed.
Q: I have the 1st Arlo, will this door bell hook up to my system /camera ?
A: Yes, it will. Just have to follow the prompts for set up and will give you the added benefit of audio for communication between person at door and you.
Q: I have the Arlo pro 2 cameras set up will the door bell Arlo hook up to same system ?
A: Yes You can add the arlo doorbell to your arlo base and it does not count against your camera limit on the base.
A: It does not have a camera but you can pair it up with an Arlo camera that will activate when the button is pushed.
Q: Can you talk to the person at the door without them having to push the doorbell?
A: Yes, since it senses motion and notifies you. If you have any arlo pro camera paired with it you would talk through that since it has a microphone and speaker built in also.
A: Yes, we linked ours up to our house chime doorbell and it also rings through the phone.
Q: Does this work with google Home so whenthe doorbell is pushed it sets the cameras on the home hub
A: I don't have any experience with Google Home, but I can tell you that I asked the 'blue shirt' at BestBuy the exact same question (because we were thinking of getting a Google Home hub) and he said No, Arlo doesn't work with Google Home (nor Alexa). Google has their own Arlo - Nest - and Amazon has their own - Ring.
