Q: Does this need direct sunlight (on roof) or just getting any daylight will give it juice?
A: The amount of energy that the Arlo Solar Panel can produce depends on several factors: average sun exposure, weather conditions, tilt angle, and dust or debris. For more information on positioning the Arlo Solar Panel Charger, check out: http://bit.ly/30Rnknw ^KN
Q: Can i use this on more then one camera?
A: YOU NEED A SOLAR PANEL FOR EACH CAMERA.
Q: Will this charge Arlo- Pro 4 with the magnetic attachment?
A: Yes I have the Arlo4 cameras, the magnetic attachment on the solar panel is smaller but it still fits fine
Q: Does this work for the arlo go 2 cameras?
A: It should work. Why? Look at the model: this is model number VMA5600-20000S. If you go to Arlo official site, they sell the VMA5600-20000S and says it works for the Arlo Go 2. So I think the other two answers are incorrect.
Q: How long does it take to charge
A: The solar charger will charge the battery but it is only a trickle charge. The time to charge the battery depends on how much sunlight the panel gets and how much charge is in the battery. I charged my battery to 100% before I attached the solar panel and my solar panel only gets full after noon sun. My battery power never goes below 100 %. I have 2 solar panels and 2 cameras and the camera always shows 100%. My advice is to charge your battery first and keep it fully charged with a solar panel and you will never have a problem.
Q: How long is the cord from the solar panel to the camera w the Essential model? Thanks
A: It is an 8-foot magnetic cable. The cable is connected at the middle back of the solar panel and the magnet at the other end.
Q: Will,this solar panel,work,with my Arlo,pro,2,camera?
A: No. We recommend getting the VMA4600 for Arlo Pro 2 camera model. ^RM
A: Yes the Arlo Pro 3 is compatible with this solar panel VMA5600B-20000S.

Customers have good things to say about the easy installation, long battery life, and solar-powered feature of the product. They appreciate that the solar panel is convenient and efficient, helping to keep their cameras charged without the hassle of constantly replacing batteries. However, some customers have concerns about the charging effectiveness, compatibility with older Arlo cameras, price, sunlight requirements, and occasional instances of the solar panel not charging.

I had my Arlo Pro 4 cameras about 2 weeks and decided to purchase these as charging 3 cameras would be a pain. I read reviews on these and some said don't work or must be fully charged to work partially. With 3 cameras facing different angles on my home was going to be a challenge facing the sun as my home runs north west to south east. I am totally impressed with these Arlo solar panels after a month. I tried mounting them south east and west and north west. I must have done something right because they charged my cameras excellent. Even on cloudy days the ultra violent rays come through and charged the cameras. If your having a problem charging with these you did something wrong. They will even take my cameras from 50% to full charge in a few days. I am extremely happy and highly recommend these solar panels.

Awesome solar panel charger, I recently purchased this Arlo brand solar panel i originally had purchased an aftermarket brand for my floodlight camera and it started working fine for 2-3 months then it stopped working and kept shutting off my camera. Replaced it with the actual Arlo brand solar panel and since then works perfectly and it actually charged it a lot faster and works when it needs to perfect highly recommend this solar panel

When I considered what security cameras to buy, I should've considered how good the customer support was. That was my biggest mistake with purchasing Arlo. When they work, the cameras are great. However, if you have a problem, do not expect good customer support! I don't know if they outsource their support to India, but I've never spoken to an American, I know that! They are difficult to communicate with and they don't provide accurate solutions. I have 9 cameras (3 Pro 4 and 6 Pro 5s). The cameras are different ages. The Pro 4s are 2 years old; 3 of the Pro 5s cams are 1.5 years old; and 3 Pro 5s are only 1 year old. About 1 to 2 months ago, all 9 cameras started going dead within 1 to 2 weeks. I suspected some type of firmware update is the cause, as that's the ony thing that makes sense. How else would 9 cameras, of different ages, all start draining the batteries. 3 of them are actually on a completely different ISP, so I don't think it has to do with my ISP. Anyway, I finally called customer support, and the guy could only detect any info off of 1 camera. He claimed it had been recently charged that same day by a faulty charger that same day. 1) It was charged 4 days prior to my call; 2) This does not explain why all 9 cameras have an issue (I have 3 chargers, I don't think they're all bad. In fact, I don't think any are bad). He suggested I try charging the cameras with a magnetic cable instead. He made several wild claims. For instance, he said the temp was high on one camera, but this camera is in 1 of the coolest areas and is under a roof in a shaded area. The bottom line, I don't think the guy really looked at anything at all, and I think he was just throwing our random reasons for the problem, none of which explaining why all 9 cameras would be losing their charge so fast. The app is also very basic (automated capabilities suck); They recently doubled the montly subscription cost (it's not insanely high). Anyway, I'd just consider other brands if it were me after this experience. I'm not sure you can trust any battery operated cameras, because Lithium batteries, frankly, just don't last that long, and they're expensive to replace. There have been 2 other instances with their customer support. 1 of the times I called them was because "Arm Home" wasn't working, and he claimed I had to always use Arm Away (made absolutely no sense). The other time was my sister couldn't access the recorded camera feeds during her trial. They were never able to resolve her issue, and , thus, she really never got her free trial, because it didn't work. They should've resolved her issue and re-started her trial instead.
