Q: i hae a 4 camera arlo pro system, will this camera work with my system
A: Yes, I'm still using my Pro 2 hub and have four Pro 3's connected to it.
Q: Can this camera be added to Arlo Pro 2 1080p camera system?
A: Yes it can, but depending on the base station you have is the resolution you will get. For example the pro 3 will perform or offer 2k video with the vbm4000 but with the vbm4500 will only perform to 1080p. Also you would only be able to access local storage through the app on base stations vbm4540 and vbm5000. This cameras do not have the 7 day free cloud storage like the arlo pro 2.
Q: Are these battery powered, their range, etc?
A: The expected battery life for Arlo Pro 3 cameras is approximately 3-6 months with average use as detailed here: https://kb.arlo.com/1202753. We also want to mention that there are three ways in which your Arlo Pro 3 camera may be powered : (1.) Rechargeable battery (included) (2.) Outdoor Magnetic Charging Cable (sold separately) and (3.) Q: Do you have to buy a smart hub to use this camera?
A: With any arlo pro, pro 2, pro 3 and ultra you require a base station. The smart hub or Vbm4540 is the base station for the arlo pro 3. Is the one I prefer. It has access to local storage I use the max external hard rice allowed 2 tb. Other wise you will need to purchase or pay for the cloud storage and smart notifications. Arlo pro 3 and ultra does not offer the 7 day free cloud storage the pro 2 offers. Do your own research in the arlo website and community forum.

A: The Arlo Pro 3 camera does not come with free 7-day cloud recording. However it comes with a free Arlo Smart trial. When the trial expires, you have the option to purchase an Arlo Smart subscription. Without an Arlo Smart subscription, you can still add up to 5 cameras to your Arlo account, live stream, and receive motion and audio notifications. ^RM
