I recently dove headfirst into the world of Armored Core 6, and let me tell you, it's been quite the ride. While I was unfamiliar with the franchise, my experience with FromSoftware games has given me a solid foundation to appreciate the unique offerings of this game. From the moment I started, I was immediately struck by the sheer depth of customization available for the mechs. It's like a dream come true for someone who loves tinkering with gear and loadouts. While I may not have known all the ins and outs of the Armored Core lore, the game's intuitive controls and robust tutorial system helped me find my footing quickly. One thing that truly stands out is the attention to detail in the mech designs and environments. FromSoftware's signature dark and gritty aesthetic is present, and every component of my mech felt purposeful and well-crafted. The combat, too, is a masterpiece. Engaging in intense battles, trying to outmaneuver and outgun my opponents, is both thrilling and challenging. The learning curve was steep, but that's part of the charm. It rewards those willing to invest the time and effort to master it. Even though I may not have the nostalgia factor that long-time fans do, I can appreciate the dedication to delivering a top-notch experience. Armored Core 6 has piqued my interest in the franchise, and I can see myself exploring its rich history and diving deeper into the series in the future. In summary, Armored Core 6 is a fantastic addition to the FromSoftware library, even for those of us who are newcomers to the Armored Core universe. It's a challenging, rewarding, and deeply customizable experience that any fan of the studio's work should not miss out on.

Highly recommended for fans of mech combat action games. Armored Core 6 beings back the classic mission-based and heavy customization approach of the Armored Core franchise, while emphasizing previously under the hood elelents like the stagger system to create tense, adrenaline-igniting back and forths that immerse the player in the moment against tough bosses and squads of rank and file unitsas they make their way across Rubicon, learning the secrets of the mysterious substance known as “Coral” and change the fate of the planet… if not humanity itself.

I have been a fan of armored core since the PlayStation 2 so I’ve been waiting for a good game for many many years as I have not played armored core since Ac2. This game is beautiful, graphic is superb, and the missions are hard but as a armored core fan. I’m used to difficult missions. if you like a challenge, beautiful graphics with amazing customizations I highly recommend.

It’s a FROMSOFT game. It’s insanely difficult with a steep learning curve but the attention to detail and quality of everything is unmatched. Be warned this is not a casual relaxed game. But if you’re up for the challenge it’s incredible.

Let me be clear, the game is fantastic. Hard, but fantastic. Your have to optimize your builds to achieve results, and the presentation and music are wonderful. My complaint is that, after preordering and driving to the store, I was given a game case with the disc rattling around. One of the spindle tabs that holds the disc in place was broken, and when I asked about a replacement case, I was told there's nothing that could be done. Great game, just maybe order online only...

Fantastic game - a bit of a learning curve but thats to be expected with a FromSoftware title. Quick instal on the PS5 and the loading screen basically doesn't exist.

Best game so far, beat it 4 times already, and one of the most fluid and well balanced entries in the series.

For those too young to remember or even know for that matter, this game feels like it was shot straight out of the golden age of gaming, that was the PS2 era. This game is so refreshing from the everyday shlock that now plagues the gaming world. For those new to the series, don't worry about this being a decades long game series, because each game has its own story and setting. Do yourself a favor, and play this game!

This is my first Armored Core game. I am a huge Dark Souls fan so I naturally wanted to play the new From Software game. Building and paiting the mechs is really engaging. Testing out your creations is very satisfying. The world is pretty bland and ugly, it goes with the story but the levels just are not great to look at. I wish the developers did more with the PS5 controllers, the adaptive triggers and haptic feedback would have been so awesome with this game. Overall it is really fun!

Shopping experience was perfect. Happy to have gotten the game on the actual release date unlike other companies that send it days after (*cough* Amazon *cough*). And the game is amazing!

Graphics suffer a little on this title, but blowing stuff up and causing general mayhem never gets old!

After so long since the previous Armored Core, we finally have another fantastic game in the series. The gameplay is largely the same as previous entries with some minor tweaks to streamline the experience (not choosing a left and right arm as they are only counted as a pair, for example). As a long-time player of Armored Core games, I’m glad these changes don’t hurt the overall experience. Controls are quick and responsive, there’s tons of variety of equipment, super challenging boss fights and a gameplay loop that has a low barrier to entry and a high skill ceiling. This game is a welcome addition to the series for old fans and a great introduction to the series for new players.

Nowadays Fromsoftware is known for their “Souls” games but not a lot of people talk about one of the franchises that pre-dates the Souls games by 12 years: Armored Core. This game is a breath of fresh air when compared to their more heavy handed offerings like Elden Ring. This game is just a blast to jump into and blow stuff up as a giant Mech. It’s obviously a lot deeper and more nuanced than that but it harkens back to those times as a kid when youre playing with Transformers and youre making them all do battle and your imagination is running wild imagining the intense fights. Thats basically what this game is like and it’s awesome!

Great game. The bad reviews Ive seen are mostly from people who had certain expectations going into it, like "it will be just like soulsborne type games" or "it will be just like previous armored core games." Once you clear yourself of these expectations you get a crazy fun game that is challenging and heart-pounding. It has a couple of shortcomings like it starts pretty slow and the missions also seem unbalanced, but this last one is by design. Each mission offers a different challenge and yea youre suppose to tweak your build freely and often so that you can get through the missions and bosses more easily. The combat is awesome, just remember that mech games are not like other fighting games, you have to take the fight to the skies! its truly a 3 dimensional battle unlike any other type of action game.

This is my first AC game & I am loving it. The fast & Chaotic gameplay is an absolute fun factor. The difficulty is a big plus but it isn't something a new comer (like myself) should worry about. AC6 is a lot of fun. It is a beautiful looking game and provides a challenge I was looking. The tutorial boss can be a bit challenging but that is only to get you use to the controls. After that the game really opens up. The missions can range from a quick 3 minutes to over a half an hour long. Don't think of this as a Soulslike game if you're on the fence about games like that. Customization allows you to perfect builds that suit your play style. Customize your weapons, armor and internal components to get the upper hand during challenging moments or to just feel like a MECH GOD.
