Great speeds! No lag or drops. WiFi reaches from one end of house to the other

Super fast wifi7! I get my entire Xfinity gig connection both wirelessly and on Ethernet devices that support gig connectivity. My last Arris modem dropped constantly. This Arris modem has yet to drop a connection even once.

When I realized I needed to replace my Motorola(5 yrs old) I knew this Arris Surfb oard G54 would be its successor. With easy setup, greater bandwith, no lag or interference, great speed and reliabilty, this modem is amazing. I'm very happy with my purchase.

I separated all my wifi channels from 2.4ghz, 5ghz, 5ghz high and 6ghz. Through speed tests, im getting 1200 to 1300 mb/s speed tests. I have like 20 devices connected and not experiencing any slownes. If you have xfinity arris is the brand to go with

Upgrade from previous model svg2482AC used over 31/2 years , this model G54 looked ugly but working very good triple range signal, never drop signal yet about three weeks using comparison to previous model dropped at least one Avery day. Setup was easy just download arris surfboard app and setup from that app it will connect to xfinity app, First I call xfinity customer to clearing out the previous modem and they tried to have me setup the new one about an hours but it not work.

This thing is HUGE! No wonder it's so powerful! It's blazing fast! My computer's internet is on a whole new level! When changing web pages, I can't even see the transition. It looks like it changes in a blink of an eye. One page, one second, another page the next! It is truly astonishing! The only downside is that the signal drops off greatly in my bedroom. The modem is in the basement. That's ok because after I pair it with the TP-Link WiFi 7 mesh network in about a month, I won't have any dead spots in the house! As you can see in the pics, the test results say it all! This is the Arris G54 cable modem. The tiny white version is the Arris S33 that I upgraded from.

So far so good, great range, only issue was I had some old coxial connections outside and inside which the service tech fixed, evidently and come to find out the cable modem/router does not like a weak or intermittent signal and does not recover when this happens, even when the signal comes back.

The setup was easy and no problems afterwards! I have 28 devices connected thus far,

This is the most amazing modem and router I’ve ever owned. I’ve been paying for top of the line Cox internet for years, but have never been able to achieve max speeds on any of my computers or iPads. If you look at my speed test photos you’ll see very slow speeds with my previous router and modem, followed by lightning fast speeds with the Arris G54. I did 2 different tests, one with my iPad and one with my iPhone, both tests were done while simultaneously streaming Formula 1 qualifying and watching a 4K video on YouTube. This thing is legit. Is it expensive? Yes it is. Is it worth it? Absolutely.

500-600 dollars for your isp provider to push updates instead arris themselves while not giving you the option incase of an emergency to manually update firmware/ or attach anything (no usb port). Also, Web interface issues where I can't see all the devices connected. Wifi range seems to be just okay in a 1500sqft house. I've read that xfininty did have to upgrade some splitters in some cases but I cant confirm yet. Lan internet is fast! wifi is okay. I split the ssid into 4 channels and messed with the wifi analyzer but im a lazy person at heart and the price made me work too hard for the cost. There's a lot of variables , good and bad just kind of torn on this product. Also, while calling xfininty support after installed the product the first guy said he couldn't find it and wanted to send someone out for them to install it/fix the issue lol. The person was lying, literally ended the chat and got someone else who did it in a matter of seconds so just double check with someone else before if you're a handy person.

This wifi router has great rang and speed. It is lightting fast and was a breeze to setup. Highly recommend

Everything you need in a router right here. Offers great range and speed. Only downside is the initial setup is a joke. The setup requires an app that is so painfully unusable, I recommend a STRONG drink before attempting to setup (check out App Store reviews for SURFboard central if you think I’m being dramatic). Luckily, after about 2 hours of deleting the app and reinstalling it, somehow the router miraculously started working. Get through the initial headache and you’ll love it.

Had a Netgear CAX80, what an expensive headache to have to mess around with. Constant random disconnects with no rhyme or reason, NAS links would just disappear when downloading files and end up with corrupted or no files at all, web portal interface SLOW as molasses and constantly restting itself to factory settings, even if you saved the profile it would bootloop as one setting wouldnt take and then back to square one over and over. The final straw was the multi-gig port on it just up and broke, crappy software, firmware and hardware, the trifecta of technological incompetence that is Netgear. Saw the Arris G54 and grabbed it as quickly as i could, first thing i noticed was how incredibly easy it was to setup, just plug in and setup with Xfinity app, took about 6 mins, the app itself took 5 mins to initialize and activate, so really 1 min, and secondly, how fast it was with the newest Wifi7 spec, also the multi-gig port is 10G and ill be using this with a 10G unmanaged switch so maximizing bandwidth, and lastly RELIABILITY, no weird disconnects or network links randomly going down out of the blue. The web portal is fast and easy to manage, also much more user friendly and intuitive interface. The Wifi coverage is great even setting the transmit oower to only 25% for 5Ghz and 6Ghz, and 12% for 2.4Ghz. Awesome gateway so far, this is definitely the one to get, still playing around with settings and learning this one but it is definitely a beast and top of the line and DEPENDABLE. Oh yeah, also some devices that wouldnt connect under the CAX80 and its widely known WPA3 issues with certain devices, well that doesnt plague this device, all the devices that i could never get to connect under the CAX80, connected easily to this one, not one hiccup. Love this thing, it just works. No more headaches and staying up late cursing network equipment due to one faulty overpriced device (CAX80).

Works great, provides a reliable connection with different Wi-Fi bands and supports a plethora of smart devices at the same time. Great product with a sleek design.

I had no idea upgrading to a DOCSIS 3.1 over DOCSIS 3.0 would increase the speed so much, but it does. If you're paying for 300mbps and up, DOCSIS 3.1 is an absolute must to get everything you're paying for. Aside from giving me the high download speeds I pay for, I was really impressed with the heavy increase in upload speeds. I went from 25mbps to 100mbps. Which, if you work remotely and constantly need to upload large files, it's a game changer! The set-up with the Surfboard app was extremely easy and I was able to activate on my account via the Xfinity app quickly and without having to call tech support, which I try to avoid at all costs. The only reason I'm giving a four star review is it's extremely pricey, but I needed to purchase something that worked with Xfinity and would handle future technology upgrades. The list of compatible devices was very short and Netgear's quality and customer support has really gone downhill. This is my first time purchasing an Arris router/modem, I'll update if I encounter any issues. So far, it works like a dream.

Easy setup, great performance. Lowered my gaming latency. Lots of extra security features. Stays pretty clean looking. I was hesitant at first about buying a modem router combo Because wifi range , but to my suprise this unit is very good.

Fair warning: The app that the company makes with the router is BooBooNastyCriminal.com. They should honestly be embarrassed considering a CompSci undergrad with ChatGPT could code a better app than the garbage that they've got going on. That being said, if you set it up with an ethernet cable the router is great. Connects to all the bands 2.4hZ, 5 & 6 etc. Initial set up was a mess because of the mistake of using the app. They should really just take it off the app store at this point. FYI set up the router before connecting the coaxial cable.

Working perfectly. No issues since purchase. Consistent speed.
Works great with Spectrum and did not have to connect an additional router for WiFi connection as the range is excellent.

Product works well. It is difficult to setup. Must use mobile phone rather than laptop or computer since the configuration process restarts the router several times and thus disconnects the wifi, crashing the setup process. Signal range is similar to linksys router AX600. Renaming devices keeps resetting itself and it's difficult to keep track of devices connected to the network Parental control works well, although it is difficult to configure.
