I got this not necessarily for anything more than browsing little gaming nothing crazy and just everyday use. It was good when it was. It was like an old Ferrari when they work you love them when they break it’s a headache. Not that this broke but the battery life of sometimes 2 or 3 hours definitely left my expectations heartbroken. Another issue was the screen. Touch screen was fine but the glass could’ve been a little more fingerprint friendly. Biggest issue with the screen is it’s not the tandem oled display on the 5090 so it did very visibly struggle out in daylight. Keyboard was fine but leaves you wanting more out of it. Was expecting more mechanical solid feel from the keyboard. This will not be your AMG solid machine. It’s more a heavily modified less expensive vehicle I’ll leave that to your imagination. The biggest culprit here being the battery and the heat issues. Fans were fairly loud and if you’re gaming on it or running heavy tasks you will feel like you’re redlining it. However even after missing all the refinement I struggled to make it crash. I was not able to actually so the performance is there and everything loads instantly. It really is a love hate relationship with this machine. If you’re only looking for raw performance and couldn’t care less about refinement the go for it she will not disappoint. However keep in mind this will be more an at home or lounge power station. Don’t expect to take her somewhere and run her for 15 hours without having to charge 3 or 4 times. Overall it feels purpose built and what it was built for; it does it well, very well!! I paid $2,999 for mine, and by the time I returned it the price had gone up another $1,000. At that new price point, it starts leaving too much to be desired. The little frustrations and bumps in the road begin to outweigh the strengths, and you start asking yourself, “Why not spend another thousand or fifteen hundred and get something more refined?” It’s a tough sell. It’s like driving a track-focused car on LA roads. It’s great at first until the stiff suspension gives you back pain and the loud exhaust gives you a headache. Some people love that experience, but as you get older you begin to understand the appeal of a properly refined six-figure sports car. It can do everything the track car can, but in a controlled, precise, effortless way that makes you never want to go back.

As someone who works extensively in CLO 3D, I cannot praise the ASUS ProArt P16 enough — this machine is an absolute powerhouse. From the moment I opened my first project, I could immediately tell this laptop was built with serious creative professionals in mind. The 4K OLED touch screen is breathtaking — every fabric texture, seam, and detail in CLO 3D looks incredibly lifelike. The precision and responsiveness of the touch interface add an intuitive layer to my workflow that I never knew I needed. Performance-wise, the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor, 64GB of RAM, and RTX 5070 GPU make even the most complex garments and simulations feel seamless. Draping, rendering, and real-time edits happen without a hitch. It’s the first time I’ve experienced zero lag in CLO, even when working with high-resolution textures and multiple avatars. The massive 2TB SSD also means I have more than enough room for my libraries, renders, and project files without worrying about running out of space. And despite all this power, the laptop stays surprisingly cool and quiet — something I didn’t expect with this level of performance. ASUS clearly designed the ProArt P16 with creators in mind, and for anyone using CLO 3D (or any demanding creative software), this laptop will elevate your entire workflow. It’s fast, gorgeous, reliable, and absolutely worth the investment. 10/10 — a creative professional’s dream machine!

It's fast and the battery life is decent for a windows 4k laptop. It also edits 6K 10bit 420 Open Gate Videos from my Panasoinic S5ii super well. It's a massive improvement from my 4 year old Dell XPS 17 that stopped functioning well. The keyboard is ok but fees a little shallow/mushy. I can live with that but the touch pad is a deal breaker for me. Any time I try to type my palms hit the trac pad and the cursor jumps. Just like it did now on this form and often times I end up typing somewhere else I shouldn't be It's killing my productivity and it's ruining what should be an excellent laptop. I went online and many others are having this issue. At the time I write this there is no way to stop the sensitivity to palm taps. I've tried tweaking windows settings to completely lower the touch pad sensitivity but that didn't work. I looked at many forums and the only options is to find shortcuts to disable and re-enable the touchpad when you type. That's not going to work for me. I tried disabling Advanced Gestures and that did not going work for me either. I've never had this issue on any other laptop I've ever owned and its incredibly frurstrating. I'm most likey going to return this and look for another laptop.

I purchased this specifically for music studio work on my DAW based on its CPU abilities and RAM capacity. So far it has proven to be a great experience. No crashes or issues whatsoever when using extremely high demand orchestra software, like East West Hollywood Orchestra Opus Edition with Pro Tools and other software running simultaneously. I’m also a gamer and I have been having fun using this laptop for playing things like Forza Motorsport and games from CD ProjektRed all on high settings with great results. A great experience so far.

- Display flickers intermittently and frequently. - Keyboard backlight under the 'D' key fails about 10% of the time. - Best Buy requires you to take devices in-store for warranty claims, even for devices that were originally shipped to home. Devices purchased through Best Buy are apparently not covered by the manufacturer. Don't be taken in by Best Buy. Purchase a different product from a different vendor!
