This was expensive, but it has also been a miracle of engineering. I did not expect to have the GPU running consistently at 30°C-40°C even while running demanding games like Cyberpunk at 4K max setting. I had become used to seeing my previous GPU bounce around 80°C all the time. This gave me around a 30% FPS increase over my previous 4070 Ti Super, but the details about it has forever changed how i will look GPU's. Inly bad thing i can think of is that it is heavy. I broke the retention clip on my motherboard while trying to install it. It is big and heavy, and i wish i had waited for my bother-in-law to be a 3rd hand while putting it in.

I upgraded to the ASUS ROG Astral RTX 5080 OC from a 4070 super FE and couldn’t be happier. The build quality is outstanding, and the quad-fan cooler keeps temperatures surprisingly low even during long gaming sessions while staying very quiet. Performance has been phenomenal at both 1440p and 4K. Every game I’ve thrown at it runs smoothly with max settings, and DLSS 4 is a huge bonus for demanding titles. The factory overclock gives it a little extra performance right out of the box, and there’s still plenty of headroom if you like to tweak settings. The card is definitely large and heavy, so make sure your case has enough clearance. Other than that, installation was straightforward and everything worked perfectly. If you’re looking for one of the best RTX 5080 models available, the Astral OC is absolutely worth considering. Premium cooling, excellent acoustics, and top-tier performance make it an easy 5-star purchase.

The ASUS ROG Astral NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 is an absolute monster of a graphics card. I upgraded from a 40-series GPU, and the jump in performance is instantly noticeable. Games that used to hover around 90–120 FPS are now pushing well past 200 FPS on max settings, and the 16GB of GDDR7 memory keeps everything running insanely smooth—even in the most demanding titles. What surprised me the most is how cool and quiet this card runs. ASUS did an amazing job with the cooling design. Even after long gaming sessions, the temps stay low and the fans are barely audible. Pairing it with PCIe 5.0 also gives it crazy-fast data throughput, which really shows in load times and overall responsiveness. The build quality is solid and premium—as expected from the ROG lineup—and installation was easier than I expected for such a powerful card. If you're building a high-end system or upgrading for the next generation of games, this card is absolutely worth it. Pricey, but the performance speaks for itself. Highly recommended!
I’ve been using this graphics card for gaming and some occasional video editing, and the performance has been outstanding. Games run extremely smooth at high and ultra settings, with excellent frame rates and no stuttering. The cooling system works great — temperatures stay low even during long gaming sessions, and the fans are quiet. Installation was very easy, and the build quality feels solid and premium. It also handles productivity tasks like rendering and editing without any issues. Overall, this is a powerful and reliable GPU that delivers exactly what it promises. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for top-tier performance for gaming or creative work.

If you looked up online or watched videos about If upgrading from a 4070 ti super to a 5080 is worth it and didn’t feel like you got a straight answer, IT SURE IS. This card is huge. Barely fits in my case. Haha but it’s super quiet and keeps cool under heavy load. 850 watt PSU at least, but if you plan to OC then a 1000w PSU is your best bet.

Upgraded from a rtx 4070 to this 5080 astral, it’s absolutely superb. Runs 1440p 120 fps with max ray tracing DLAA war thunder and the multi frame gen is fantastic is other games like wuthering waves, cyberpunk 2077 and monster hunter wilds. Runs cool, usually at 60c max at full load and makes absolutely no noise. Also love the fact that it has the per pin monitor just incase there’s something wrong with the 12v hpwr connection.

This is the most powerful GPU that I've ever owned. It's also the largest yet the quietest too. I love it. The fans never spin until the temperature hits 50°C and even then the fans are barely audible. It has a single RGB strip running along the front that's pretty customizable with the Asus software. It is expensive but I plan to keep it for years so it's worth it to me.

Rog knocked it out of the park. This GPU is is beautiful as it is powerful. While ROG does have the highest priced GPU's its for good reason. If you want the best you but ROG. The insane build quality mixed with the flawless 4 fan design will keep it running for years to come. 5 out of 5!

Coming from a 3080 TI, I was truly surprised at the games I got with this card. It is truly an overclocking monster. Able to get 3.3 GHz stable in game with plus 1,000 on the memory. It is enormous weighs almost as much as a newborn baby. But it has great features like the 12 pin thermal power plus protector and it also has a built-in accelerometer to tell you if it starts sagging. Great card great build and great Aesthetics. Would highly recommend but not at the current prices

Runs very cool, looks very clean, ans first time owning an 80 series card. Well worth it and destroys anything i throw at it with ease and cool temps. Worth it if you like the look and build quality. Otherwise go with the FE

This graphics card is a little more then other 5080s but I think it’s work it for the extra fan to keep it cool and possible to over clock while staying cool it, its looks really good, its really heavy so needs support

I ordered the ASUS ROG Astral NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 online from Best Buy and picked it up in-store, and I’m super happy with it! The online ordering was a snap, and when I got to the store, the pickup was fast—staff were friendly and had it ready to go in no time. This card’s performance is off the charts—I’ve been playing at 1440p with all the settings maxed, and it runs everything so smooth, even with ray tracing cranked up. Looking to buy a 4K OLED monitor now. The four-fan setup keeps it cool and quiet no matter how long I game. It’s a huge upgrade for my setup, and Best Buy made getting it a total breeze!

I upgraded from PNY RTX 5070 to this RTX 5080 and WOW! My computer graphics game is maxed out. Perfect brand for cooling mixed in with a little RGB lighting to add to its worth. This is my 2nd piece of ROG equipment.

Beautiful card from Asus ROG. Doubled my VRAM and is sure to keep cool with quad fans, the first of its design. Will be the forefront of my build for years to come!

This card slaps so hard. Pinnacle of technology and top model from Asus. Runs quiet and runs everything at ultra. Fantastic card.

The card itself is a BRICK! With this being said, it overclocks better then any other card, and stays cool while doing so. Is it worth the $1800 price tag currently!? Absolutely not. But if you want the best series card this is the best you are going to get. This card would be the PERFECT card if it was released with its original msrp of $1249.99 when first announced. But the market quickly made it double. If you cam hold out and wait for prices to equalize I would say go for it. But if you want the best soon, then its certainly a good card performance wise.

I had been holding out for a MSRP RTX 5090 for some time, when I saw the ROG Astral RTX 5080 in stock only 1 hour from me. I made the trip, and what a great decision to make! It pairs perfectly with my Ryzen 9 9950X CPU and 64GB of DDR5-7000 RAM! All games run perfectly now, with my bench marks crushing my old 3090 runs. The upgrade from the 5060ti to 5080 was a great one.
