I've been using this monitor for a while now and honestly have zero complaints, which is rare for me. The OLED panel is the real star here: blacks are absolutely black, colors pop with a vibrancy that IPS and VA panels simply can't match, and the 0.03ms response time makes fast-paced games feel incredibly fluid. At 280Hz, everything from competitive shooters to just navigating the desktop looks buttery smooth. The 2K (1440p) resolution hits the sweet spot for a 27" screen, sharp enough that you're never squinting at text, but not so demanding on the GPU that you can't actually hit those high refresh rates. G-SYNC and FreeSync Premium Pro support is a bonus that covers basically everyone regardless of which GPU you're running. HDR looks genuinely good here, not the washed-out afterthought you get on cheaper monitors. Build quality feels premium too, the stand is sturdy and the aesthetics are clean enough that the "ROG gamer" look doesn't feel overdone. The one tip I'd add: if you can catch this on sale, grab it without hesitation. It's already worth the full asking price, but getting a discount on an OLED monitor of this caliber feels like straight-up stealing. Highly recommended for anyone who wants a serious upgrade to their setup.

I recently purchased this from Best Buy and I’ve been really impressed so far. The setup was straightforward and everything worked right out of the box, which I always appreciate. The build quality feels solid and the design looks very modern. What stood out to me most is the performance. Everything runs smoothly and it feels noticeably faster and more responsive compared to my previous setup. The display quality is also fantastic with vibrant colors and sharp detail, which makes a big difference whether I’m working or just enjoying media. Another thing I like is how intuitive everything is. The interface is easy to navigate and I didn’t have to spend much time figuring things out. The only small downside is that it took me a little time to adjust some of the settings to my preference, but once I did, it worked perfectly. Overall I’m very happy with this purchase and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for something reliable and high quality.

I needed a monitor for gaming on my PS5. I was looking a wide variety of monitors, and many are expensive. I managed to get this one on a July 4th sale with $200 off. I love the quality, the image is clear, and one of the main reasons I got this monitor is because it's bright despite being OLED, so I don't have any issues with darkness. I don't always play in a dark room but have had no issues with being able to see the screen when there's natural light in my room. You can get a cheaper OLED monitor, but it will not be as bright. I didn't see the need for a 4k on a 27" monitor, and I personally own several 4k monitors for work and see 0 difference between this one and the 4ks I own. I would recommend this monitor to anyone looking for high quality and bright OLED. I also believe the OLED care features are advanced on this product, as it can refresh pixels while the monitor is on standby/sleep mode, to prevent burn in.

The HDR is perfect with the OLED screen and the high refresh rate, It feels like a truly premium product, and thanks to "OLED Care," I can sleep easy knowing the pixels won't die if I forget to turn it off.

This monitor has been a HUGE upgrade compared to my previous one. This monitor has strikingly sharp details and colors, 280 hz, and many settings that can be tweaked to change the the monitors brightness plus color.

This monitor has been super crisp and beautiful, was a little afraid to step into the oled world but currently no issues and I’ve had it for about 6 months now. The colors are drool worthy as all my movies or shows I watch look like they’re alive with vibrancy

Very impressed with this monitor, straight out the box it's beautiful and thoughtfully designed. Comes with a very nice stand AND a sick mounting adapter. Comes with a Display Port cable to plug and play and small zipper bag for accessories. Easy to access menu and very customizable (video modes accessible via menu or app). Very happy, will add a 2nd to my setup soon.

This monitor is awesome works under linux correctly and it looks stunnishing. I 100% recommend it. the pixel cleaning, task bar / log detection features is definetely something that every oled monitor should have. For gaming this monitor is an beast 280hz is something that will improve your in game performance as well as normal desktop

I was in the market looking for an OLED and had the 360hz Asus QD-OLED before this one, didn’t like it & returned it. The W-OLED True Black panel is truly that!! True black.. no purple tint or anything. The proximity sensor is great too. If you step away from the monitor it will turn off on its own. With all the pixel cleaning and features that come with it this monitor should last a very long time. I know the price is steep but I was able to pick it up open box on Black Friday and on top of that had a $200 Best Buy gift card so only ended up paying like $350 for it.. 5/5 recommend anyone looking for their first OLED 1440 high refresh rate monitor!

Great scren. Gives the expected deep blacks, and vibrant colors. Honestly thought it wasn't turning on at first until I moved my computer mouse to the display, that's how good the OLED is.

The only thing that can be said to be bad about all QD-OLED panels is the color you see when you are in a very bright room. Everything else is good it has a lot of oled care. And the image quiality is the best, in 1440p the game is not that slow compared to playing in 4k resolution.

Just an amazing monitor for my needs. I have a 4070 TI SUPER, and it works great on this monitor. Getting 240-280hz.

This was my first OLED and not gonna lie I was nervous to get it as I've seen some horror stories about cleaning them but distilled water and a clean microfiber cloth and your good. It's amazing though the color just pops right out and the black is black. I will definitely never go back. I'm OLED all the way now. Streaming it has defenitly helped with eye fatigue.

A good monitor is essential for a great setup, and this one definitely met my expectations. Great quality for the price — highly recommended.

I was really excited to get this ASUS ROG Strix gaming monitor… I knew this one was gonna be good. It arrived in a standard monitor style box with Styrofoam inserts holding everything nicely in place. Inside the box the monitor was wrapped and protected, with the stand, base, power cable and a DisplayPort cable tucked neatly inside a little zipper bag, which is super cool, and something I’ve never gotten with a monitor before now, bonus points for that. Oh.. and it came with a full sheet of really cool ASUS ROG branded stickers. There is no HDMI cable in the box, but luckily I had plenty lying around. Setup was very easy. The stand comes in two pieces that connect together in just a minute and the screen clicks into the stand without any tools. From opening the box to having it on my desk with a picture on screen only took a few minutes. The stand feels solid, the base has a nice weight to it and once it is all assembled the whole thing feels sturdy and well balanced. I really like the sleek profile of the monitor itself. The bezels are thin, the front looks clean and modern. The size is perfect for me, big enough to feel immersive, without taking over my whole desk, and leaving space for another monitor, if you want. One of my favorite things about this monitor is the stand and how adjustable it is. I love that it pivots from side to side, that is a great feature and something I use a lot. It also tilts, raises and lowers, and can rotate into portrait mode. Portrait is great for long web pages, documents, watching vertical content, and even gaming in vertical mode for some games that offer that option. Everything moves smoothly and stays where I put it, nothing feels loose or cheap. There is VESA support if you want to mount it and there is even a little threaded mount on the stand so you can attach a camera or light on top, which is a really nice touch for streaming or video calls, and something I plan to take advantage of. The first time I powered it on I literally had one of those “wow” moments. This is a 26.5" QD OLED panel with a 2560x1440 resolution, up to 280Hz refresh rate and a 0.03ms response time, and you can absolutely see and feel the difference.. instantly. The picture is bright and very clear, with deep inky blacks and rich colors that really pop. The contrast is absolutely perfect, dark scenes look truly dark without turning into a gray mess and bright areas stand out without blowing everything out. It honestly looks like something you would expect from a high end OLED TV, just in a more desk friendly size. Gaming on this monitor is insanely nice! The 1440p resolution looks great, not quite 4K, but with a monitor this size, that doesn’t matter as much for me. The 280Hz refresh rate and very low response time make everything feel extremely smooth. Fast paced shooters, racing games and anything with quick camera movement all feel much more fluid compared to lower refresh rate screens I have used in the past. It supports both G Sync Compatible and FreeSync Premium Pro, so with variable refresh rate turned on you get stutterless gameplay. HDR games look great too, with bright highlights, deep blacks and colorful scenes that really show off what this display can do. Dark game scenes still hold a lot of detail and features like Shadow Boost and the optional crosshair overlay can give you a little extra edge in first person shooters. Outside of gaming, it has been great for everyday use. Web browsing, photo viewing, videos and movies all look fantastic on this screen. I create music videos and other AI video content, often in 9:16 vertical format, and having this monitor that can rotate, really helps me with that to see more, and see how it looks naturally. The colors look natural but still very vibrant and the wide viewing angles mean it still looks good even when I am not sitting perfectly centered. The screen has a glossy-ish type coating that still gives you that nice OLED pop while doing a decent job reducing harsh reflections. If you have a bright window directly behind you, you will still see some reflections, but in normal use it has been fine for me. The ASUS DisplayWidget Center software is actually very handy on this monitor and there is a QR code to get there from the monitor menu. I can change brightness, picture modes, gaming features and a lot of the OLED care settings right from my desktop instead of needing to use the little joystick on the backside in the middle bottom of the monitor. It can also run the pixel cleaning cycle and handle firmware updates. If you prefer to use the on screen display and joystick, those controls are still there and they work well, and it’s probably some of the easiest monitor controls I have used to be honest. ASUS clearly put a lot of thought into taking care of the OLED panel. There is a Neo Proximity Sensor on the front that can detect when you step away and turn the screen black after a set amount of time, then turn it back on when you return, preventing or lessening the chance of burn-in images over time. There are options for taskbar detection, boundary dimming, pixel shifting and pixel cleaning that further help to reduce the risk of burn in. The monitor will run a cleaning cycle while it is idle or powered off and every so often you will see a reminder asking if you want to run one. The proximity sensor is a cool idea and works well most of the time, but if you sit very still while gaming it can occasionally think you stepped away and turn off the screen, but you can adjust that. Like any OLED, the screen surface is more delicate than a basic matte LCD. I try not to touch it at all. If I do see a smudge or a speck of dust, I’ll use the microfiber cloth, included with the monitor, and a very gentle touch and that has worked well for me. Between the cleaning tools built into the monitor and just being a little bit careful, I feel pretty good about the long term life of the panel. Connectivity is straightforward, sufficient, and works for what I need. You get one DisplayPort, one HDMI2.1, one USB-C with DisplayPort Alt mode and up to 15 watts of power delivery and a headphone jack. That covers my gaming PC, a console and a USB-C device or handheld just fine. The USB-C power is great for charging a phone or smaller device, but it is not meant to fully power a gaming laptop on its own. I do wish there was a second HDMI port, but I can live w/o that. The ports are tucked up under the back of the monitor and the labels are pretty small, so the first time I plugged everything in I had to turn it around and and get below it to see what I was doing, but once it is all connected you will probably not think about it again. Plus you can rotate it for easier access if you wanted to. If I had to list my small complaints, it would be things like only having one HDMI input, the limited power on the USB-C port, and I sure would love some built-in speakers. Text is slightly less crisp than a 4K office monitor if you are really sensitive to that. None of these are big enough to take away from how much I really like this monitor for gaming and everyday use. Overall, I really love this monitor. I love it, I love all the features. For gaming, it is on a completely different level than most monitors I have used, with the combination of 1440p, OLED, 280Hz and great HDR making everything look and feel better. It also works very well for everyday tasks and just watching movies or other media. If you are looking for a premium 27" gaming monitor that looks amazing, feels fast and has smart tools to help take care of the OLED panel, this monitor is for you!
