Very good laptop, way way better than my old ASUS model. Battery life is 4 stars because I’m using it to play Baldurs Gate 3 and I feel like that drains the battery quite a bit but otherwise everything else about the laptop is amazing.

This model is so powerful and the screen looks amazing, I highly recommend this.

The only two things I'm have notice in this two months I'm using it, it's that the battery charge last very little and sometimes windows crashes for few seconds.

High performance but comes with the price... Highly recommend if you have the budget. I have been using an ASUS ROG 2016 model - this has benn a huge upgrade...

Best laptop of 2024. Picked it up yesterday (RTX4090) and after completing all updates I have zero hardware or software issues. Armoury Crate and Aura work great, benchmarks are strong, stays cool even on high settings. I honestly expected to run into some issues but nada. I couldn't be happier with this machine. Materials and build are top notch as well. I considered other 4080/4090 laptops including the MSI GE68 HX, Alienware x16 R2, Acer Helios 16, and Razer Blade 16 before going with the Scar 16 which offered the least amount of compromise for the best price. ASUS really hit a high mark with the Scar 16 and 18 models this year.

I got this laptop mostly for “MS Flight Simulator” and “Planet Coaster” two of the most demanding games to date, even for high-end gaming desktops! And I’ve got to say that this beast continues to BLOW ME AWAY at how well it can run them. Don’t expect triple figure FPS on these two games as I don’t even think that the highest end gaming desktops can achieve such a grand feat, but they both run very smooth on all of the highest settings so I would expect that if it can handle “MSFS” and “Planet Coaster” THIS well then a “Cyberpunk 2077” type game would be a breeze. Just a note to any Planet Coaster fans: If this little beast struggles on some of the Mega Parks from the workshop, I just close the park down and close the rides, speed up the time thingy and wait for all the peeps (park guests) to exit the park and SHAZAM! Buttery smooth FPS. (There are exceptions for some super massive Mega Parks but too few to mention, and following the tips above make them very playable, at least in my experience so far). This sweet little Scar 16 thinks it’s a gaming desktop. Who am I to break the news to the little guy “No sweetie you’re just a laptop”. Highly recommended!

Great Gaming and multi purpose computer. My last computer from ASUS is still running well 8 years later. Used for games, work, photo editing.

I love how they refused to accept my return a few years ago over a scratch but i just spend 3 and half grand on a laptop and the screen is bent has a melted burn spot on plastic like someone left a cigarette burning on it like this is ridiculous best buy does not care about customers at all

This thing is super responsive and the graphics are amazing. I use it to game, code and slice 3d prints.

Does everything I could hope for plus more. Great machine all around

This is hands down the best 16” gaming laptop and one of the cheapest for what you get out there. Thermals are great, screen is amazingly bright with excellent color definition, high end specs that lets you play any game at ultra settings. Check youtube for videos about hoe to undervolt if you want even better performance. I tried the 2024 razer blade and the lenovo 9i and this is the better buy.
