As long as your mobo has at least usb 3.0 ports this thing works fantastic. Only note is i had to reinstall the driver from asus website to get it to work fully. That said once i did i easily can max out my 1 gig internet and take advantage of mlo on wifi 7. A ton easier than having to buy and install a whole new wifi 7 mobo.

This adapter uses USB-C from the cradle/stand to the PC, or you can not use the cradle and plug the adapter straight in and that’s high speed USB-A. I tested it off of my AT&T Fiber BW320 (what comes standard with Fiber instal 1gig or less) and it was pulling 360 mps D/330mps U 12ms. Which Isn’t too bad. Where this adapter shines is when I disabled my AT&T BW320 and let my Tp-Link WiFi 7 triband take over. It is now pulling 780mbs symmetrical with single digit latency. It’s not hardwire speed but it’s close enough. It hasn’t dropped once since it’s been installed and my son uses it constantly. Especially since we’ve been on Christmas break.

My previous wifi adapter was not compatible with my new fiber internet and this got the job done. Easy setup, fast speed, looks great.

It was super simple to set up, just plug in and go. The cradle has a padded bottom so it stays put on our sit stand desk even when moving the desk up and down. Gets better speeds than our other computer's built in WiFi at the same desk, about 780Mbps vs 490Mbps.

I had a failing Wifi antenna which was built-in an older Asus motherboard and I also upgraded from WiFi 5 to Wifi 7 AP and really needed to get something for my old gaming rig. The setup was straight forward, this is connected USB 3.0 and Windows 11.

Bought this unit in May 5 2026 and it stopped working suddenly 2 weeks later. While the exterior design is great, the electronics were not up to expectations. The unit is too expensive as well as bulky and cumbersome. A mini Wifi wireless adapter purchase via Temu works great and it was way cheaper than this unit.

This adapter is a beast! I’m using it with my gaming laptop, and the speeds are incredible — it easily handles Wi-Fi 7 networks and keeps latency super low even when gaming online. The build quality feels premium, with that signature ROG design and RGB logo that looks great on the desk. Setup was simple, but you do need to download the driver from the ASUS website before it works properly. Once that’s done, it connects instantly and performs flawlessly. I tested it with a Wi-Fi 7 router and saw consistent gigabit-plus speeds. The range is solid too — no drops even a few rooms away. It’s pricey, but it’s absolutely worth it if you want the best wireless performance for gaming or streaming. ✅ Pros: Blazing fast speeds, low latency, easy setup, great range, premium design ⚠️ Cons: Slightly bulky if you move your laptop a lot, driver download required

For the most part, this adapter does what it should: it gives you wi-fi via USB in a stable consistent manner, that is, when it works. That is the reason I did not give it the 5 stars, because setting up this adapter was uphill, and then it does not always work. Let me explain: Regarding the setting up, this is not just plug-n-play, no, you have to install the correct drivers, and they don't come in a CD or USB stick in the product's box, you have to download them. The problem is that if you are trying to set up the wi-fi adapter in a PC that has no wi-fi, you cannot connect to the internet to download any drivers to install the new adapter. You see the problem? This means that you have to download them through another PC or your phone and then transfer them into the PC you want to use them in. Okay, once that problem was resolved, the second thing that happens is that sometimes, if the electric service is cut off for some reason, or if you accidentally unplug the PC, or just turning it off and on again the next day, most every time you log in back into the system, the adapter is not recognized. Usually, restarting the PC again fixes the problem, but it gets old fast as it is mighty inconvenient. That being said, when it works, it performs superbly and I have no complaint about that. Just keep in mind what I said above if you are considering buying this ASUS - ROG USB Wi-Fi adapter.

The ASUS ROG USB-BE92 BE6500 Tri-Band Wi-Fi 7 Adapter has been a game changer for my setup—installation was effortless, and the connection speed and stability are outstanding. I noticed immediate improvements in download rates, streaming quality, and especially gaming performance, with much lower latency compared to my previous Wi-Fi 6 adapter. The sleek ROG design and included stand make it easy to position for the best signal, and it stays cool even after hours of use. While it’s a bit larger than typical USB adapters and comes at a higher price, the performance and reliability easily justify the cost.

I couldn’t be happier with this router! Setup was quick and simple, and the performance is outstanding. It supports the latest Wi-Fi 7 standard, and the speeds are incredible—up to 10 Gbps download capable. Streaming 4K/8K content, gaming online, and running multiple devices at once is smooth and lag-free. The signal range easily covers my entire home with strong, reliable connectivity. If you’re looking for a router that’s future-proof, lightning fast, and built to handle anything you throw at it, this is absolutely the one to get. Highly recommend

Its about as simple as you can ask for. Plug it in click on it let it install the drivers and connect it to your wifi. I have an older PC with a lot of life left in it but no wifi motherboard. I was updating to a new PC but want to keep the older one as a backup and moved it away from where the wires are and did not want to run any to it. Its worked great.

My WiFi is terrible so I needed something to try to pick up more signal. Works for the most part but not the best of the best. Gets the job done though slightly

If you’re still on Wi-Fi 6, the jump to this ASUS ROG USB-BE92 is massive. While Wi-Fi 6 was a good step up, this Wi-Fi 7 adapter offers much better stability and speed on my OMEN 35L. Major improvements over Wi-Fi 6: • Massive Bandwidth: The BE6500 tech handles high-speed data much more efficiently than my previous Wi-Fi 6 setup. • Zero Interference: Using the 6GHz band feels like a private lane; I no longer deal with the congestion that usually slows down 5GHz bands. • Rock-Solid Connection: It’s significantly more reliable than the built-in card, providing a consistent, low-latency connection for gaming. It’s the easiest way to future-proof your desktop. Highly recommended!

I had a lot of network adapters in the past, and this is the first one that truly took advantage of my Wi-Fi speed and capability, and instead of me having to deal with drivers and trying to get it to work just right as soon as I plugged it in it immediately installed the own drivers updated them and started giving me a download speed of over 800 MB a second!! it all depends on what type of wireless router you have, and your Internet service provider but this device genuinely gets to speed. I have a network attached storage for my archives of music, movies and photos and anytime I acquire something new and go to upload it I really am getting several gigabytes per second. I’ve bought three more for the household and family members computers and its worked out great!!
