I have old model zepherys g16, 4070, so i upgraded and paid 4000$ for that model. And it have same problmes then old, over high temperature. I cannot play in games, old one, new ine, doesnt matter. In old games like witcher 2 and assasin credd revelation fps is really low 80-110 and temperature overheating everytime. CS2 90-140 fps, i can’t recommend that scrap

I wasn't sure about spending so much on this laptop, but it's been great so far. The screen is incredible, the speakers are great and it has a ton of power for such a small device. Overall, the audio/visual experience with this laptop is something else. It does run hot, but that's to be expected in such a thin machine. It still has enough thermal headroom that it hasn't completely throttled on me and performance stays consistent. Performance mode is quiet and does a good job of giving you good performance without a lot of fan noise. Moving into turbo or custom modes and the fans can get really loud but you get a good bit more performance whenever the GPU is able to pull more power. It's played everything I've thrown at it so far, but DLSS is needed for some games. I know many don't like upscalers or frame generation, but they help to make this machine what it is. 240Hz with 3x frame generation is really impressive, in my opinion, and it wouldn't be possible to fully utilize the impressive display without frame gen. The chassis is very light and surprisingly so. I didn't expect it to be quite so light, I can barely feel it in my bag whenever I bring it along with me. Battery life is pretty OK. Keeping it in silent mode with the iGPU taking over, I've been able to get about 5-6 hours of actual usage before having to plug in which is pretty impressive for the level of performance this thing is capable of. That being said, performance on battery is nowhere near what it is plugged in, but that's going to be the case with any laptop. The only problem I've had with this laptop has been with part of the audio drivers. "Cirrus Logic Awesome Speaker Amps" often does not initialize properly whenever the laptop restarts and causes the speakers to basically stop working. Uninstalling the service in device manager and then scanning for hardware changes fixes it for a while, but after a few times of putting the laptop to sleep and waking it back up, the service will stop working and I'll have to go back and redo it to fix the audio. Restarting does not always fix it, either. It's a small thing, but pretty annoying for such an expensive machine. I don't really think it's worth deducting a point as the rest of the package is excellent. Hopefully ASUS is able to fix that minor complaint at some point or maybe I'll find a work-around. This is a very solid laptop, but the form factor means the performance is compromised. If you're planning to take it with you often, it's an amazing machine. If you need a desktop replacement that you'll move occasionally, you'll get better performance and thermals out of a larger machine and likely for less money. I'd recommend this laptop to anyone that wants something portable, but wants some more performance whenever you're able to plug in.

At this writing I've had this laptop for 3 weeks. I've liked ASUS products for years. This laptop is a replacement for a 4-year-old ASUS ZenBook Duo. It was chewing through batteries and was functionally not what I needed anymore. The new ZenBook Duo no longer has a graphics card, which threw it out of the running as a replacement for the current one. My workload is primarily experimenting with AI workflows. I also do general development and use this for entertainment. What drove my decision to go with the ROG Zephyrus? - 64GB RAM/16GB VRAM - AI needs the memory - OLED 16 inch screen - I like the real estate - Relatively light weight compared to competitors - My AI work comes in bursts, so heavy duty cooling is not needed. - The price point hit my sweet spot for what I was looking for. - Solid reviews (technical and user) - My history with ASUS products What I miss from my old ASUS. - Dual screens - Touch screens Has this laptop met my expectations so far? Yes, it has. - The surprise has been in how much control/flexibility I have with managing the laptop configurations. I did rip out Armoury Crate and replace it with G-Helper. The Armoury Crate Aura Sync capabilities are really cool but eat a stunning amount of battery power. G-Helper is simpler to work with and meets my needs. One of the neat things is that I can turn the GPU on/off as needed. - The performance upgrade as expected has been great. The AI models I've selected to run are performing better. - The screen refresh rate and brightness are better. - Battery life is really good, provided you set up the configurations properly. This computer smashes and the display is amazingly beautiful. When hooked up to a 4k tv it runs great! Can play high to ultra settings FG and upscaling. It’s light but noticed it can dent easily even with it being in a travel case in my suite case. Top lid has a small dent? Could be from it being an open box or if it’s from my travels. Soft body worried of longevity vs the chunkier 16in laptops. But easy to carry around and great speakers! Overclocks well too!

This is a gorgeous, portable monster. It has an RTX5080 GPU and 64GB of RAM which is more than almost any other "gaming" laptop. With it, I am able to run local LLMs and run programs like ComfyUI and Hunyuan3D2 for 2D to 3D conversions. It is light and extremely portable. If battery saving features are used, it will last for about 8 hours doing WEB surfing and business applications. Because it is so slim and houses a RTX5080, gaming performance will not be quite a good as a full RTX5080 due to lower wattage and throttling. However, gaming performance is more than adequate for modern games. All and all, it is one of a kind.
