Over brightened, contrasty image quality

I needed a monitor for both light gaming (PS4) and general purpose use with a PC. I know this is a gaming monitor, and I couldn't try 144Hz mode, but it's still too bright and harsh for me. I took a couple days trying to calibrating it, trying every setting combination possible, but was unable to get an acceptable viewing experience. I exchanged it for a higher end 4k gaming monitor (almost $200 more) and found that to fit the bill nicely.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
