Q: How many SSD slots does this laptop have?
A: This laptop has the 2 slots. It has the one that the Windows 11 is installed on (kind of hard to swap out because of metal frame that surrounds the SSD) and 1 additional open PCIE 3.0 slot for an additional M.2 NVME SSD (easy to install). You can install a Samsung 980 Pro and it will work just fine. You will need to buy the screw to secure the SSD separately because it's not included with the system. You will also need a T5 torx screwdriver tip and a spuder or pick to open the system and to the upgrade, but it's totally worth it!
Q: What is the Ram configuration on this laptop and how many empty Ram slots are available?
A: The answer by ASUS to this question, while not technically false, is ambiguous. There are two memory modules on this laptop. 1 is an 8GB module which is soldered and cannot be changed. The other is removable and that slot alone, according to another ASUS rep, can only accommodate a 16GB bringing total memory to 24GB (8GB soldered and 16GB in the removable slot). However, some users have successfully inserted a 32GB module in the removable slot bring the total to 40GB (8GB soldered + 32GB removable). I wish the ASUS reps responding to these questions were more straightforward, detailed and honest as theirs answers are very ambiguous.
Q: On the photos i dont see the USB-A 3.2 port. I only see the 2 USB -C, the 2 DPs and the HDMI.
A: On my right when facing the laptop, there's 2 USB-C ports, one USB-A port, one DP port, the ethernet port, and then the power. There is also one USB A port, and one audio port to the left side.
A: Yes, it does have a wired LAN port or RJ45 jack.
A: This laptop belongs to the Q530(ASUS Creator Laptop Q) series.
A: Yes, I'm using a Dell G2724D that's 1440p and 165hz when using DisplayPort, 144hz with HDMI. It works beautifully. Now, will you actually get 100+ FPS in whichever game you're playing? Depends. I can in older stuff like CS:GO and BF3/BF4, but stuff like BF 2042 is hovering around 80 FPS @ 1440p with low settings and DLSS on. This 3050 6GB isn't bad, but don't expect to max out newer games and keep your framerate high. This screen is so beautiful that I think it's actually fine for 1080p/60, so that'll come in handy for games that it chokes on in 1440p. Not sure about the KVM switch, but my USB-C hub works fine aside from not being able to do high refresh rate. This laptop has the ethernet port anyway, so it's null for me.
Q: Can this laptop be charged via the thunderbolt 4 port, or only through the DC in?
A: Yes, this model support this feature.
Q: What is the Blue Tooth standard of this model? I don’t see that information anywhere.
