Excellent 15 inch laptop.
My 10 year old 15.6" Asus laptop that I got 10 Black Fridays ago had recently been giving me the blue screen of death 3 to 4 times a week. Search was on and found this ASUS 15.6 Vivobook and it is great so far. Transition from Win 10 to 11 not so bad and now using MS Office 2024 instead of 2016 not much of a learning curve. This machine is lightning fast including fast bootup. Faster than my old rig ever was. Keyboard is backlit which is nice and the feel is great. Battery life is pretty good, although it does drain faster than my old machine did when it was new, due to the I-7 processor from what I read. No cons so far.

Great laptop
Bought as a replacement for a desktop so I could take everything with me on trips. With the dock it operates my 48" monotor and works perfectly with a usb hub to plug in accessories. It is compkeyely seamless and with 2 tb onboarb memory and anoth tb in the dock, Ill never be left wanting. As a laptop, the keyboard is easy to read in any light and the picture is fantastic... no oled, but close. For $1300, this was an absolute bargain... and its Asus.

Asus laptop w/40gigs of RAM.
This laptop came stock with 40gigs of RAM and Windows 11 Pro. The other deciding factor for me was it’s an Asus. It has the power to run 3ds Max as part of my small rendering farm. The only problem I’ve experienced is the keyboard not working on startup. I discovered, after some research, that this is a common problem not with just this model. I’ve found no solution yet that permanently resolves the problem. I did find a reset solution on the internet that works but has to be used every time the laptop is started up. I highly recommend reinstalling Windows as a local host so it isn’t connected to Microsoft.
