A: Just received mine and it does NOT! I’m definitely not happy.
A: This does NOT come with one. Best Buy is making false claims and should be held responsible for it.
Q: Does this have an ethernet connection?
A: It doesn't have an ethernet port or connection slim laptop will not have this available. A USB to ethernet adapter can be used.
A: The m712DA if that's still the thread comes with your M.2, and there's an open slot for a conventional 2.5 HHD. YOU NEED THIS (Photo from Asus-Accessories.com (Asus Spare Parts LL), and I'd get it from THEM. It's the best price, and quick, plus if elsewhere, it may be too short!) To keep it in place 2 sided foam tape is good or the blue rubber keeper they offer is good.
Q: Is it really only 2 Mb cache memory?
A: This CPU features 2MB of L2 cache and 4MB of L3 cache. The system has 12GB of system memory. https://www.amd.com/en/products/apu/amd-ryzen-7-3700u
Q: Does this have a second hard drive slot allowing more storage?
A: yes it has a bay for 2.5 inch hdd BUT it needs the attachment cable which is not inside...you would need to hunt one down....
A: The screen isn't bad. My complaint is the opposite, I find the darkest color to not be black at all and really a dark gray on the highest resolution. For the cost of the laptop, the screen isn't terrible.
Q: Where can i find this model with the backlit keyboard that is advertised?
A: If you can actually find a ASUS VivoBook 17 X712DA-BR7N6 it may indeed have a back-lit keyboard and aluminium chassis LOL!!!! I've looked far and wide starting at the obvious place ASUS.com. I don't believe it exists. What we were all shipped is a ASUS VivoBook 17 M712DA.
