This is a very nice laptop for this price, it's not the fastest laptop in the world but does the job.

I purchased this open box ASUS - VivoBook Max X541NA 15.6" Laptop - Intel Pentium - 4GB Memory - 500GB Hard Drive - Chocolate black at a bargain price, for my ex-wife to download and store the hundreds of digital photographs she has accumulated on her cell phone. Verizon had decided to eliminate their "cloud" where she was storing same. She is not computer literate, but found this laptop fast, efficient and easy to use. I would buy again.

A great laptop. I use it in my CAD design business if on the road and too far from my desktop. With the ASUS, I can make drawing modifications practically on the spot.

Twelve year old Grandson had been asking for computer last couple of years. I have had Asus for 5 years. I love mine. No problems at all. He Loves his. Really easy to set up. He mainly plays games.

This Asus laptop is my first by this company. I needed a basic computer that used Windows OS as I have all Apple products otherwise. I have a Yuneec drone, a GPS, and action cameras that all play better with windows. This laptop is a tad slow, but isn’t that bad. The screen clarity is excellent, but the sound isn’t very good nor very loud. However the battery seems to last a longtime under normal conditions. All in all I would recommend it as a good inexpensive unit.

This is perhaps the best starter computer at the moment and at great bargain! I picked up one for my a niece, who's college student. What I like about this product and call it a bargain is what you get: Full standard size - 15.6". Intel Pentium - not Celeron. Optical drive - DVD/CD burner! The newest C-port and standard 3.0 (and 2.0 USB compatible). 500GB storage is good enough for any college student. Also has SD card reader, HDMI, VGA ports and integrated graphics card reader to play games occasionally and do some photo-editing. By no means this laptop is for a gamer or professional use, but it's one amazing all-in-one starter computer which happens to beat out any other entry-level laptops at the moment (in 2018). I ended up buying a couple more for my nephews as well.

Does what I needed it for, a bit slow sometimes, but overall value for money

Good buy for the money. It's not the fastest laptop, however, it works well.

This is a computer my parents use for email, online shopping, etc. Has been great so far and the size is good for a "home laptop". Screen size and keyboard seem to be perfect for an entry computer. Not super fast but fits the needs we had!

I bought it online last week.it take around 10-12 minutes to switch on.always load, install google but takes about 1 hour and I kick this laptop and it works little bit now. Very slow laptop but still no google ,I upload google chrome and it takes 6-7 minutes .after all I bought it for my little son YouTube works perfectly, it’s good for kids to watch YouTube baby songs and videoed, and for the price is okay, it’s take little while to active after all 2 star and for the price is 3 star

I really like this laptop! Excellent sound, decent keyboard layout with numeric keypad. Down side is the low price will not give you a backlit keyboard. Another downside is it comes with only 8gig RAM... it does have an open slot so you can expand it to 16 (highly recommend and will be soon myself). Good feel to it, not a tank and excellent price! Screen is not bad as well, angled viewing of course isn't the best but for personal use is more than adequate when you find the best angle/lighting. Not a huge issue to me since if I'm on my laptop I am typically not interested in having people "looking over my shoulder" anyways lol. I'm happy so far!

This has all the features I need and more for a very fair price when I got it on sale. It's much faster than my old Dell Inspiron. So far really like.

I started doing some part time work from home and it got to the point where my 10.1 all-in-one screen was just not doing it for me. I looked at different laptops and didn't want to spend a lot. I came across this Asus. It's fast, great memory, lots of storage for what I do. Battery's not that great, gives you 4 hours, but since I didn't plan to use it on the go it's not a problem… I use the cord. I can easily move it from room to room. This is my 5th Asus product. Great product, great price. With a wireless keyboard and mouse, it's like having a desktop without the desk. Would have given it a 5-Star if it was a touchscreen.

inexpensive computer that is easy to use and does everything I ask of it. Would be great for a first computer, secondary home computer or anyone who doesn't do a lot of gaming

Pretty fair for the price. It's a gift for my son. He said it's not too fast but it may be his ISP.

I just needed a basic computer that could handle occasional surfing and daily excel usage. The computer seems slightly slow to start up but nothing that’s a big deal, its less than a minute.

My main laptop is broke so I was looking for a spare to pick up. This one seemed to suit my needs, I would only need it for a few months. It ended up being slow enough that I decided to return it and just use my 10 inch Windows tablet until I could afford a nicer computer. The startup experience was super nice, with all the integrated Cortana and everything. It made me super hopeful. I deleted a lot of the bloatware immediately and that seemed to help, but it was just painfully slow when doing menial tasks. The speakers on the thing are amazing though, so if you mostly wanted it for media consumption, Netflix and YouTube, then this device is more than fine. The coloring on it wasn't my favorite, but it wasn't bad either, just a little washed out. I just needed something a little nicer for school, otherwise I might have kept it as a backup, especially since you can find it on sale for just over 200. If you're going to do anything more than check your email and watch Netflix, I would save up for a slightly nicer computer.

I bought this computer for school use and haven’t had any problems with It. It’s affordable for a college students budget!
