excellent quality laptop, light, super clear OLED screen at 3K. Keyboard is very supportive. Light and easy to carry around. I connect to a 4K 27" external monitor via USBC port, works great!

This laptop is almost perfect. The Display is incredible, the performance is amazing (even for some light gaming) Battery life is also amazing (12+ hours of web browsing EASY) The keyboard is probably and A-. Very good, but could be a little stiffer (IMO) Trackpad is a B+. I can't give ANY trackpad an A or higher if it isn't haptic, though. I kinda wish I would have got the white version of this laptop, as I think it looks nicer and repels fingerprints better. I ordered an M2 skin to try to help with that though. The keyboard backlight is also really good! Although it's pretty bright, even on the lowest setting, so using the laptop in a really dark place could cause eye strain. But, this is a minor thing, and doesn't bother me 99% of the time. Lastly, what makes this laptop truly awesome is getting rid of all the ASUS bloatware and install G-Helper (the open source software you can use to control the things you care about) With this, I just keep it in the system tray and change performance modes with just a couple clicks.

Use it for college and it's fast with an amazing display. Multiple tabs open and no fan noise. Plus, it has great battery life.

I bought this instead of upgrading my old surface pro - which I loved BTW. The only reason I went for this was because I wanted a true laptop and didn’t want another 2 in 1 when I have an iPad. My surface pro was a hand me down and I believe a 6th generation? Either way, it was time to be a big girl and upgrade. I got this on sale for $1250 and I will say it is worth just that. DO NOT PAY FULL PRICE for this device. It’s beautiful, truly finger print resistant, and lighter than my friends new MacBook Air M4. It has all the ports I could ever want and the 32 GB of ram is a nice touch. It’s not the fastest thing on the market, but for a student that does light gaming, research, multitasking, and writes reports, it’s perfect. My only reason for 4 stars is the MSRP and the fact it’s an i7 processor not the i9. For the price I think the i9 should be automatic, but beggars can’t be choosers in this economy. Another thing I noticed - battery life is iffy. Sometimes I get great battery life, other times it drains super fast. I’m not sure what causes it. I don’t do anything to crazy except play Minecraft with music or YouTube in the background, but either way it’s a fabulous device. I get compliments on it all the time and the display is gorgeous. I’m hoping the battery thing is something I can just mess with the settings for and fix that. I hear ASUS customer support isn’t that great, so I’m really really really hoping I don’t have to go that far.

This laptop was purchased for university studies as I plan to study cybersecurity. So far, the computer has more than met my expectations. The 3K OLED screen is AMAZING, colors are COLORS, the black is BLACK not dark gray ITS BLACK, there's true blackness and extreme sharpness of images on screen. The laptop is light, has a premium build quality, and it is comfortable to take everywhere. Performance has been great with fast application opening and flawless multitasking due to 32 GB of RAM installed. The battery lasts long and the keyboard remains comfortable even after extended usage while studying. Additional functions such as a touchscreen, Face ID, and MyASUS (so useful) software that allows adjusting performance and battery parameters are also worth mentioning. Thus, this laptop seems to be a perfect choice to use at least for the period of my studies in college and further studies. For those of yall who are in need of a high-end Windows laptop for education, programming, productivity or any professional activity should consider Zenbook S14. I would absolutely recommend this laptop every single time

The ASUS Zenbook S14 is honestly one of the best laptops you can get if you want one device that does a little bit of everything. It’s fast enough to handle gaming, music production, editing, school, work, and everyday stuff without feeling sluggish. The Intel Arc graphics are way better than most people expect, so games actually run surprisingly well once you tweak the settings. On top of that, the OLED screen looks amazing, the battery lasts, it’s super light, and it doesn’t sound like a jet engine every time you open a game. It feels premium, stays cool, and you can easily throw it in a backpack without thinking twice. It isn’t trying to be a giant gaming laptop—it just quietly does almost everything really well, which is honestly what makes it so good.

The ASUS Zenbook S 14 OLED is basically one of those laptops that feels really nice to use every day, especially if you care more about portability and looks than raw power. It’s super thin and lightweight, so carrying it around isn’t a hassle at all, and it still feels solid and well-built. The OLED screen is honestly one of the best parts,it’s bright, colorful, and makes everything from Netflix to schoolwork look really good. Battery life is also amazing since it can last most of the day without needing a charge, which is super convenient if you’re out and about. That said, it’s not really meant for stuff like gaming but surprisingly can run some games pretty decent at 60fps along side with the beautiful OLED display.

I have used this laptop so far since the start of my Freshman year in college. I did get it at an amazing deal and I believe it's worth every penny. It is the perfect productivity laptop that can handle some software that eats a lot of RAM. It definitely isn't a workstation laptop, but it is perfect if you want something lightweight, has long battery life, produces productivity, and has an amazing display.

Asus never fails to amaze me, and they have done it again. I’ve been using the Asus Zenbook S 14, and it is truly a work of art. From the moment you unbox this laptop, you are hit with the beautifully designed piece of machine. From the ceramic-coated aluminum lid called Ceraluminum to its gorgeous display, this powerhouse has it all. So, let’s go over what new Asus Zenbook S has to offer. Slim & Lightweight One of the things I love the most is how thin and light this laptop is. It’s just .5 inches thick and only 2.6 lbs. I can toss it in my backpack and barely feel it. I even took it on a business trip recently, and it was amazing. It fit perfectly on those tiny airplane tray tables. I got a bunch of work done, watched a movie, and still had battery left when I landed. Gorgeous Display The 3K OLED touchscreen is beyond amazing (2880 x 1800). The colors vibrant, the blacks are deep, and everything is just so sharp and clear. Whether I'm watching a movie, editing photos, or just surfing the web, it always looks amazing. Plus, the touchscreen is super smooth and responsive, which is a nice bonus, when you don’t feel like scrolling with the mouse. Performance The performance on this thing is no joke. With the Intel Core Ultra 7 and 32GB of RAM, it handles everything I throw at it like a champ. Editing photos, browsing the web, listening to music, multiple applications open at once and writing this review, and it performed admirably. Booting up takes just a few seconds thanks to the 1TB SSD, and file transfers are crazy fast. Keyboard and Touchpad The keyboard is comfortable to type on. The keys are well-spaced, and the backlight is really nice. The touchpad is also smooth and really responsive. I love the extra added controls on the edge of the touchpad for controlling the volume, brightness and scrolling. Battery life The battery life on this laptop is not bad at all. I’m getting roughly around 10 hours of mixed web browsing, streaming, and editing documents. As I had mentioned before, I took this laptop on a business trip and it was about a 4-hour flight, and I was able to work and play with battery left over. It does come with a 65w USB C charger which is also convenient while traveling, because it’s not big and bulky and I can also use that to charge my phone. Ports 2x Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports for super-fast data transfer, charging, and even connecting to 4K monitors 1x USB-A port for older devices 1x HDMI port for plugging into projectors or external monitors 1x 3.5mm combo audio jack for your headphones Audio I wasn't expecting much from the speakers, but they're actually pretty good – loud, clear, and with decent bass. The laptop packs 4 speakers tuned by Harmon/Kardon with Dolby Atmos, and Asus Audio Booster for a more personalized experience. This laptop offers an exceptional experience for those looking for an all-day Windows laptop that goes head-to-head with the MacBook Pro! The exterior is made with “Ceraluminum” a ceramic-aluminum composite material that adds strength, is lightweight, helps cool the internal components, stays cool to the touch, and looks cool! Especially with the silver metallic inlays that line across the lid! ASUS nailed the styling on this one, giving the Zenbook S 14 a clean, professional look while still being unique and stylish. The Ceraluminum finish is also one of the most fingerprint resistant finishes I’ve tested on a laptop in ages! Even fresh off a run on a hot day it barely showed any smudges, and all just evaporated or easily wiped away! A 16:10 3K OLED screen presents itself to you after opening the lid, as well as the excellent backlit keyboard, the lid itself is nicely balanced so you can opening it with just one finger. In terms of performance: the Intel Core Ultra 7 Series 2 brings a lot of brains and brawn to the table with 8 cores and threads, enough to take on heavy lifting in a rigorous graduate school program, law school, or data processing (and email & web) intensive professional fields like law, accounting, finance, engineering, and others. The 32GBs of RAM soldered to the chip package is ultrafast and ready to help with that heavy lifting (and web intensive work/research), paired with a replaceable 1TB NVMe Gen 4x4 2280 m.2 SSD for a large amount of storage and the flexibility to expand it later. The carefully selected • I/O Options – two Thunderbolt 4 USB-C w/PD ports, but the Full size HDMI & USB-A are winners! At 72Wh, the battery is enormous for this size laptop and will help push you through all-day use under heave workloads and brighter screens, multiple days using the suggested lower power modes, and most of the work week using low-power mode! Though, the last one comes with a lot of compromises to get up to 24 hours of total batter life, like very dark screen, minimal wireless use, never touching CoPilot AI, and a few others. I tried it, ended day 3 of only battery on low-power mode, and caved because I need more than one tab open at a time! Overall, this laptop is incredible! It’s not built to be Junior’s first laptop that you plan to replace in a year or a "get you by" because someone wasn't convince you should spend more than $400 on a laptop, this is the one you buy because Junior is going into a rigorous program that will be using software that will not work on MacOS and you want something built to take a beating, perform at a high level, make the movies/shows/videos look great on screen, do all of this while lasting all day, and look good doing it! The MSRP is a little on the higher end, but so is this laptop. Its direct competition are creator laptops with dedicated GPUs, gaming laptops, MacBook Pros, and others that you buy with a purpose, this is one of those laptops. The ASUS Zenbook S 14’s purpose is ultralightweight, high performance, excellent looks, long battery life, gorgeous screen that’s oriented toward documents, ERPs & spreadsheets, but when it comes to gaming and video editing, it’ll take a little longer or lower graphics settings. I highly recommend this machine to those who are about to enter a demanding college program that you know you’ll need a powerful machine with great battery life, likely something in business, nursing, advanced medical, STEM, law, etc. or a business professional at a smaller firm that’s looking to upgrade your aging fleet of laptops to something that can run semi-advanced modeling (semi because there are still only 8 cores/8-threads… 8 items processing at a time) and operate the rest of your business tasks without worry of running our of storage or processing memory!

I purchased an open box Zenbook and it was perfect. Just like new. All the items were in the box. It looked like someone just cut the box tape. I saved hundreds of dollars. Seriously, I couldn't be happier!

This Asus Zenbook S 14 has been an impressive laptop right out of the box. It's an ultraportable laptop that Asus created with a Ceraluminum finish that is a blend of ceramic and aluminum. It has a nice texture and a matte finish that seems to resist fingerprints and scratches for the week that I have been using it. It's a lightweight laptop that weighs in at 2.65 pounds, which makes it fantastic for packing up and moving around during my busy day. First thing I noticed when turning it on was the 3K OLED touchscreen 14" display. It's a vivid and vibrant screen that offers 2880 x 1800 pixel resolution and a 16:10 aspect ratio, which allows for detail and sharp images. There is a variable refresh rate of 30Hz - 120Hz, which makes for a fantastic viewing quality. The touchscreen on the Asus Zenbook S 14 is precise, smooth, and responsive so it's a great way to multitask and switch between the touchpad or touch screen. The display offers a 500 nits HDR peak brightness rating, which seems decent for this level of laptop. Inside this machine is loaded with an Intel Core Ultra 7 Processor 258V. This has 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD, 16GB Intel Arc graphics card, and AI infused Copilot. The battery on this laptop is surprising as it allows for 27 hours of operation, which is great for being on the go and not having to carry around a charging brick all day. There are 2 USB-C (Thunderbolt 4) ports, 1 HDMI, 1 audio 3.5mm, which are all on the left side. On the right side there is a USB-A port that is convenient for plugging in a traditional mouse for my productivity purposes. The front facing camera is a sleek design and offers 1080p30 video which makes your online videos sharp and accurate in detail. The Windows Hello camera is a great way to have a biometric login for your laptop and it works very well and very fast. Asus has made this a future proof laptop as it will allow you to connect to WiFi 7, and is also ready for Bluetooth 5.4. This laptop has four Harmon Kardon speakers and is augmented by Dolby Atmos audio. I have loved the fullness and depth of the music and videos I have been streaming, as it sounds crisp and better than most laptops I have used. I have not seen this laptop get slowed down or lagged in any way. The bootup process is a few seconds, the file transfers are fast, and the switch from program to program is immediate. I think it's a powerful machine that will be lasting for years to come and I'm getting a laptop that goes toe to toe with similar competitors. This laptop looks visually appealing, and houses a plethora of internals that will keep this machine performing well for the long term. Asus Zenbook S 14 is a practical, powerful, and aesthetically pleasant laptop.

My first positive impression from the Asus Zenbook S 14 was opening the box and seeing packaging that one could appreciate and know that someone put meaningful thought into a nice presentation while still using recyclable materials that were very effective in keeping the product safe also. Nice job on someone’s part. I had been giving some thought to going the route of a Macbook simply for integration with other Apple products I own. After using this laptop I feel it is a contender in terms of build quality, looks and specs. The case material is high-tech ceramic or Ceraluminum which is a fusion of ceramic and aluminum touted for lightness, scratch resistance, strength and a sleek, smooth feel that I really do like, in addition to not being a fingerprint magnet either. The silver, metallic lines and Asus Zenbook label provide a nice bit of flash without being gaudy looking. In addition to the aesthetics and quality, the specs of the Zenbook S 14 make me think I really can appreciate sticking with a Windows based product. This laptop brings back a touchscreen that I missed from one of my previous laptops. I just find this a convenient feature that I use routinely for certain applications. The 14” OLED 3K screen is stunning with very good color depiction via Pantone-validation; just an enjoyable viewing experience for videos and movies. One standout compared to my previous two laptops is the sound quality of this laptop. It is appreciably better and one doesn’t have to max out the volume just to end up with poor audio quality. At half volume, the four Harmon/Kardon and Dolby Atmos tuned speakers put out the best laptop sound I have experienced in the many laptops I have owned. Other standout aspects of The Zenbook S 14 is its thin portability and 2.65 pound weight, yet it still has a very sturdy feel with no cheap flex to the laptop case. Keyboard feel is very nice with great backlighting options, and the trackpad is a nice size with good responsiveness. I do miss the usual home, end, and pg up/pgdn down buttons, but not a deal breaker by any means. Touchpad Smart Gestures exist for controls such as audio levels, video playback, and brightness. It is appreciably quieter than my current Asus laptop with no prevalent fan noise. Port selection offers great options with two Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.1 monitor output, USB-C, USB Type-A and an audio jack. I’ve been quite happy with the processing power of this Zenbook S 14 and it has more than met my requirements for a multitude of tasks. Price is up there but the Intel Core Ultra 7 Series 2 processor, 32GB of memory and a 1TB SSD really do future proof this laptop and make its performance so much better. Note that the RAM is not upgradeable so opt for the 32GB. Battery life has exceeded my expectations and features Fast Charge technology to 69% in 49 minutes. As a Copilot+ PC AI integration offers improvements to Windows features with security features related to Windows Hello, password storage, Microsoft Pluton encryption and Asus Adaptive Lock to secure one’s PC when you step away. Asus has put together a quality laptop with some very enjoyable, standout features that I would highly recommend. For home or travel use I think you’ll find the Zenbook S 14 a really nice option.

I've been working on a lot of mobile projects lately, and I've been wanting something more light and portable than my existing laptop, so I was very interested in trying out the Zenbook S. The unboxing experience was pretty typical for Asus. The packaging was well crafted in a minimalist sort of way, and the laptop was well-protected. My first impression was of how thin and light it felt in my hands. Other laptops I've had in the past are more "gaming"-centric and are naturally thicker, as those need hefty cooling systems. The Ceraluminum coating is honestly about as fingerprint prone as anything else, and I was hoping that wouldn't be the case. It is however, very easy to wipe down and looks great. It looks like it belongs in the executive boardroom. High quality with an understated level of luxury. As a business machine, the 14" Zenbook S has plenty of power for most mobile productivity tasks you can throw at it. The Core Ultra 7 258V isn't powerful enough to make this a full desktop replacement for anything particularly CPU-intensive, but it can easily handle multitasking of office applications and more lightweight CAD/rendering software, and applications like photoshop without any issues, and it's cool and quiet while doing so. I don't miss having to keep a cooling pad nearby to keep my legs from being burned. The 32GB of DDR5 RAM runs at 8.5Ghz. It can't be upgraded, but it's more than enough to handle anything you can do on this machine. The OLED screen is a treat to look at and has a lot of real estate, at 2880x1800 resolution with a 16:10 aspect ratio, and it's great for handling design work and desktop apps. It features a 120hz refresh rate, and is very smooth to look at. It's also a touchscreen, if that's your thing (it's not mine). Included is a 1TB NVME 2280 drive, which is upgradable should you find yourself needing more storage. Battery life is absolutely phenomenal. This thing sips power while in use, and holds it very well when it's idle. I've gone days without needing the power adapter on a few hours of intermittent work each day, where my other machine with a much bigger battery basically needs to be plugged in after a couple of hours. While I certainly wouldn't recommend this laptop as a gaming machine, I was surprised by how capable it is. It can handle indie titles and older AAA games pretty well at 1080p on medium to high settings, and it the screen scales rather nicely. As long as you're not expecting to run the latest games at high resolutions and quality, you can do a fair bit of gaming at good framerates on this machine. The laptop's marketing touts a variety of AI functions, which is honestly something that still feels like a gimmick to me. I know it's a field that's developing quickly, but I haven't quite adapted to it yet, and I fear I don't know enough about it to really offer my thoughts here. Overall, this is a fantastic machine for any professional who wants an ultralight, thin machine that can handle a bit of gaming in your downtime. I'd highly recommend it.
