So I've had this laptop for about 3 weeks, maybe more, and I've been having a good time with it. The screen is fantastic, it's fast, has great battery life and, productivity wise, it gets the job done. I do have some minor isssues like the refresh rate not being consistent or the random restarts that it does, but those are things I don't mind that much since I'm sure the restart is due to heavy load. Overall, it's a solid laptop with very minor discrepancies. 8/10, would recommend for productivity and media.

I've had this laptop for 5 days so far. I set it up, deleted any bloatware, stopped unnecessary programs from automatically running at Windows startup, updated all windows/hardware/software drivers, installed hardware monitoring software for temperature mainly (HWiNFO, HWMONITOR, etc) having read this laptop has issues. This laptop has frozen/crashed several times already, all while streaming YouTube! I even set the fans at constant full speed in the MyAsus app for maximum cooling potential and that did not prevent it from overheating. I didn't even get to test and push the hardware to any limits with benchmark programs yet and what does it matter at this point (plenty of tech YouTubers already have that data). I made sure to have the ventilation on the bottom rear of the laptop fully exposed, not just on a flat table which only provides maybe a few millimeters of clearance but i actually set it up to leave a huge gap where the holes are for maximum airflow but nothing helped (see photo). This laptop is thin and light with great potential but the overheating issues are unacceptable and inexcusable. This will be going back. What a shame. The screen is beautiful, the keyboard and trackpad are nice and the speakers sound good but who cares if you have to deal with a brand new laptop crashing in 2024.

This has everything I'm looking for, watching YouTube takes about 10% an hour. Light use it lasts up to 13ish hours. The touch screen is amazing, keyboard feels great, and even the graphics can hold its own. My only gripe with it is the price, it is quite spendy for a laptop, but for a notebook/MacBook style, it's wonderful! Side note... The stickers added on are angled wrong, and an HDMI sticker??? In 2024? Lol

Upgraded from the previous model this thing is so fast and smooth I multitask has 32 gigs of RAM which is outstanding never stuttering has been amazing battery life is absolutely outstanding.

Bought this laptop just for web browsing & Microsoft office usage. After a few days of use, I had to return it due to a few issues that I couldn't excuse. Issues: - CPU runs very hot. Just for normal tasks like web browsing, the laptop would get hot enough that I couldn't keep it on my lap. I personally believe that it's due to the chassis being too thin to properly cool it. Perhaps if you keep it on a desk you could get by, but I couldn't excuse it. - Touch pad did not feel good to use. Hard to explain, but I just found it unpleasant to use. It's a shame because it's so large which deserves some kudos, but after using a MacBook for a while, this one just feels poor. - The front facing camera didn't work. I thought that maybe I hadn't installed a driver, but from some internet research, others have had the same issue. Apparently it's due to the drivers being signed for a beta version of Windows instead of the current version. Either way, the front facing camera and IR camera just weren't detected by the computer and weren't usable. - Minor gripe, but I dislike how the power button is just a normal key in between the delete and print screen. If it had a different click style then it wouldn't be too bad, but it being just a normal key that you can accidentally misclick is a bit annoying. Just to balance things out, somethings I like about it: - Nice screen. OLED at 2880x1800 looks good at this size and 120hz, touch, and pen support are also nice additions. I'm personally not affected by the supposed flickering so your mileage my vary. - Decent port selection. 2x USB-4 ports, 1x USB-A, HDMI, and SD card it enough for my use case. - Good build quality. Doesn't feel cheap or flimsy apart from the trackpad. The "Ceraluminum" (or however it's spelled) generally feels nice, gives it some character. - CPU seems powerful and efficient enough. I don't really use any heavy processor applications, but from my use case, I didn't really have any hiccups. - I didn't get enough time to see how the battery life is so I have nothing to say about that. It's honestly a shame because this is a nice laptop, but for the long run, I couldn't justify the issues the laptop has.

Good laptop if you want to deal with the heat it puts out. I use laptops on my lap vs at a desk since I'm at a desk all day for my day job. It got pretty hot sitting on my lap all day. The only way to really deal with the temps is to turn off turbo using 3rd party apps. Its a great design, super light, great OLED screen, comfortable keyboard, glass touchpad which was really smooth to use. The speakers get loud but lack bass. The battery life is good and it charges fairly quickly but while charging it runs way hotter and can warm your lap quickly.

I had mine sent to Asus to fix a burn in issue on the screen and they sent it back to me with a display from a lower model, which has a different color on the outer shell. So now i have a 2 tone device. Since it was an open box item (brand new), they only covered a few months of warranty. Which is something i wish i was told before purchasing. But after i got it back, it was running fine for a few days and now it seems to stall and momentarily freeze during use. Its somewhat sporadic where sometimes it runs fine. It litteraly is still practically brand new, since I've only used it for about a month and it has a brand new install of windows 11 with only about 5 installed applications (chrome, asus software, PS Remote, Xbox Gamepass). But the main issues with stability occur when multiple applications are opened. Other than that, the laptop is beautiful in a single tone, instead of the two tone that i now have after repair. And the way movie's and videos look on the crisp screen looks amazing. So the main issue is stability. Which is bad.

This laptop checks a lot of boxes: big display, strong specs, great screen, and feels like a premium productivity machine. On paper it’s nearly perfect. But for me, it came down to practicality. I kept ending up in a cycle of trying different devices, and I wanted something that better aligned with my long-term setup. I also realized I didn’t want to commit to this platform for my daily workflow going forward. Also I expected more from a battery life perspective and it does get hot even with BIOS updates.

Only had this computer few months, still under apparently useless warranty. Writing this review from my old MSI laptop because this ASUS is locked up, practically a brick and best buy and ASUS wont help. This computer is locked up after ASUS automatically did a firmware update. ASUS says work with Best Buy. Bust Buy want $150 to look at it under warranty. It also has a tendency to just go black and no respond to any thing, CTRL-DEL, power button press, sleep button press. Only way to get it to comeback is long power button press to force it to shutdown. On the plus side I've not had any wifi issues nor heat issues even when I was doing batch transcoding. IT is a very fast computer and did transcoding faster than my old gaming lap top. I used KDENLive to do video editing and it is great for that. It also rendered the videos very fast even at 1080p

Overall, a powerful solid laptop. Battery life is awesome, display is crisp and clear, and it's very thin and light weight (just a few mm thicker than the mac). The only drawback is it does run very hot when doing multitasking or running demanding applications. You can increase the fan speed through the ASUS software which helps combat this if you don't mind a bit of extra noise. Additionally, if you are looking for a 2 in one keep in mind the screen on this laptop does not fold back like some rival laptops do.

This laptop had everything I was looking for; fast CPU, lightweight, 32 GB ram, nice display. But I returned it because the display had a flicker problem. The laptop also runs very hot which wasn’t a big issue to me but still a negative. I returned it a day before my return period expired since I don’t really want to take the chance with ASUS warranty process (from previous experience and their poor reputation), especially with such a expensice laptop. I ended getting a different laptop since retuning and exchanging for another one would another week or 2 to get.

Laptop will still run a little hot at times, but it never shuts down. Give it proper ventilation and it runs without issue. It pulls air from below, so it can't do video long term on your lap. Needs to be on a desk. Keyboard is great, screen is better. Battery life is excellent. It's doing everything I bought it for, but it isn't a media machine.

Had to return, blue screen several times a day. No software installs besides what came with it. Called ASUS support and had me reset windows but that didn’t help. Had me reset bios to default which help a bit but still crashes twice a day or so instead of 12. Returned and got different brand.

The ASUS Zenbook S16 is the best laptop I’ve owned. It’s super thin and light but still feels solid, with a stunning OLED screen that makes everything look sharp. Performance is fast and smooth, battery easily lasts all day, and it charges quickly. The keyboard and trackpad are comfortable, the speakers and webcam are great, and it has all the ports I need. Sleek, powerful, and reliable — highly recommend.

Initially this laptop looked amazing for what I needed, and it started off fine... Until the issues started. I should've returned it, but I thought "surely this one won't be as bad as the one I already returned". I was wrong. This is my second laptop of the exact same model and I'm having the exact same issues; overheating, wifi disconnecting constantly, random system devices just stop working randomly. I thought it must've just been some kind of driver problems, but at this point Asus should've ironed any out... It's the worst product I've ever bought from Asus by a LONGSHOT! DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.

One of the most frustrating expereinces of my life. Bought this laptop 1 year and 5 months ago. While it functioned, the laptop worked very well until the OLED display went out. There was no damage to the laptop as it never left my house yet the lcd display stopped working. The CPU still functioned but the touchscreen portion of the laptop, one of the reasons for purchasing, as well as the entire display did not function. I bought a 1-year protection plan, but since I am out of warranty. They want to charge $1000, 2/3 the price of the laptop, to fix it. This was originally the most expensive and best purchase I had made, but is now easily the worst. The customer service was also abysmal on Best Buy's side.

Had great hopes for this computer. Went through the windows setup and upon completion the keyboard stopped taking input. Same with an external keyboard. Called ASUS technical service and got in immediately, no wait. The tech was unable to help me much since the keyboard didn't function. Directed me to return unit. I did and after another two weeks received replacement. Same thing occurred after window setup keyboard stopped working. Again went to ASUS technical support and received better help. able to use the screen keyboard and able to do further troubleshooting, removing drivers and reinstall. In the end factory reset the laptop and started windows setup. The keyboard always work during the setup, but once complete the keyboard stops working. When I asked the technician if this was common and he said no. Two in a row indicate they have a software incompatibility issue. Ended up returning it and getting a more expensive Mac and happy with it. I'm not against ASUS. None of the reviews on line indicate this issue. Probably a new driver, hardware or windows update that creating the issue.

Very satisfied with this laptop, being oled the graphics themselves are sharp and vibrant. The laptop as a whole is sleek and feels very high quality

Didn’t even use touch screen function, no gaming yet dead screen after one year of gentle use (hardware failed two weeks after warranty expired) Asus support is a joke, so is their brand. Save your money for MBA 15”

Runs very hot, trackpad has a slight rattle. The heat is bound to impact longevity. Had to return, unfortunately.
