Telephone works great, has large numbers, adjustable volume and the option for the use of the speaker phone. Has option of hanging on wall or desk top. A great telephone for seniors. The only draw back is the display is hard to read even though there are adjustments for the display, it is still hard to read.

Needed a landline speakerphone and did not need for it to be able to record voicemail as most speakerphones do. So, it was very inexpensive. As a speakerphone, it works great -- both in the sound I hear and the sound quality my callers hear when I speak. Missing the fifth star because the display is not as easy to read as my last phone from AT&T.

I had been having issues with my landline and disconnected all my cordless phones in case they were responsible. Even though they weren't the problem, I still connected this phone and like the big buttons. It was fairly easy to set up. My only complaint is the user manual does not have a diagram of the buttons so some experimentation was necessary. At least there was a physical manual, though, rather than expecting me to download it online. I haven't used most of the features and the display could be a little clearer. I think the display would show up better wall mounted. I would recommend this product.

I bought this as a gift for my sister, she loves it! Lots of bad weather in the winter & summer with frequent power outages. Now she doesn't have to worry about not having phone service in emergency situations. Also is hard of hearing so the earpiece volume is great. The call-waiting caller ID and speaker phone is a big plus as well. Great bargain for the price!

I bought this phone for me office. I especially like the speaker function. The volume is good. I was not expecting it to need batteries, but it takes 4 AA. I probably won't use all of the features, but overall it's a good phone for the price.

Despite the fact that my last AT&T CL2909 stopped working properly after a year or so, I just bought another because the features it has (easy set up, speed dial, 65 call memory, speakerphone, good sound quality etc seem impossible to duplicate at this price point. I am hoping that the digital display works properly for a longer time than my last one. If you mind changing batteries every few months, or if you have sight problems (digital display is not that sharp), this might not be the right phone for you. I also have a very reliable cordless phone which I use and can use exclusively if and when this one fails again.

I had purchased this AT&T corded phone from the Best Buy Web site. It is becoming difficult to find corded phones in stores, anymore. This phone is for an office desk. The rest of my house is on a wireless phone system, but additional handsets for it are no longer available. The phone works well and speaker quality is clear. As a Baby Boomer, I still miss the quality of the AT&T (Western Electric) phones that were built during my youth. Those phones lasted for many years, and you could probably have dropped it out a 3-story window and it would still have worked.

Very good wall phone with caller ID and call waiting. Good sound reception, only drawback it is hard to see script on viewer.

Was planning on using this in conjunction with my new ooma system. Ended up not doing so since it does not have a power cord [would have needed batteries]. As my only phone at this time, I didn't want to have to rely on always have fresh batteries around. From the description & reviews it is perfect for my needs & I was disappointed to learn about the power cord. Bbut I'll keep it anyway. I may be able to use it if I move to a bigger place & it doesn't have to serve as my only phone.

THIS IS A GREAT PHONE, I HUNG MINE ON THE WALL IN THE KITCHEN. THE CALLER ID IS HARD TO SEE WITH SUN LIGHT, KIND OF A GLARE ON IT . I DIDN'T WANT A LOT OF FEATURES , JUST BASICALLY CALLER ID . THE PHONE SOUNDS GREAT , WHEN LISTENING AND TALKING

Works on a wall plate that we already had so now we have more counter space. Sound quality is very good. Large, easy-to-see buttons for calling and does store oft used numbers. I do have to bend down to read the display...wish it was either larger or could be angle up to view when wall-mounted. It is powered by phone line but does have AA batteries to save info in case phone line is off.

It is as described- can be a wall phone- and after some tinkering, I got it on the wall. I did not notice beforehand that it does not have an answering machine built-in, but I had one on another phone in the house- so living with that. One negative is the display is hard to read even though there are adjustments for the display. I can't get the display darker or readable, so I just don't use it. The instructions could be in black ink so it would be easier to read and could be more clearly written. Miss the old AT&T phones- bought the warranty insurance because of the reviews of poor quality.

I still have a land line and this phone works well. We wall mounted it. Nice big numbers and caller ID. Being wall mounted tho it's hard to hang up as it's not tilted enough.

Works great. Nice weight and shape to the handset. Like the speaker for hands-free use. The volume is loud enough. Larger buttons are easier for dialing numbers. [Do not need to use the electronic functions = so no comment on that part]

Wanted a landline that I could use during a power outage, and this has a lot of nice features. It is also perfect for my mother-in-law, with larger numbers and caller ID screen, and easy to use speed dial buttons.

Great desk phone. Purchased for the large keys, speaker phone and display of calling person. All these features have met my expectations. Only caution I have is the display is difficult to read when it is in bright light. I have found no adjustments to change the brightness of the display.

This is the second AT&T Cl2909 I have owned. My previous one was damaged by a leaking roof. I liked it and decided to buy another one just like the first. Good intuitive settings and controls.

I purchased three of them as I needed smaller speakerphones. This phone uses batteries, so I will need to replace the batteries when necessary. I am very happy with this phone. The acoustics on the phone are very clear.
